Jabir has been incredible and such a thoughtful part of my healing journey. I’ve been dealing with significant injuries and overwhelming physical and mental stress. After a back injury with nerve damage a few years ago and searching for a personal trainer through my gym or other options, I found most of the “personal training” services\packages available in my area meant semi-private and\or group classes. This meant I could not get the individual attention I was looking for especially at a reasonable price rate that would recognize my pain from the injury and assist with recovery. I needed help regaining my flexibility and strength, as well as confidence to be able to go back into the gym on my own after the back injury. Even though it had been a couple years since the injury, I was still in pain despite multiple doctor visits and 1 ½ years of physical therapy. I wanted to avoid a big painful spinal shot, pain medication (opioids), and\or surgery. First Law Fitness was a god send. Jabir not only recognized my situation, he helped me recover by addressing the pain and injury, he guided me throughout our sessions to gain flexibility and strength, improve my diet and nutrition, and build confidence to return to the gym. And continues to do so. You will not go wrong with First Law Fitness and Jabir for your health, fitness, and life goals.

I have been working with Jabir since March and I can do more everyday things that used to hurt. I can squat now, whereas I had a lot of difficulty getting low to the ground before. My posture is different and my lifestyle has shifted in small but consistent ways. I used to only deal with my pain through physical therapy and now I can start my day with corrective and energizing stretches. It’s not just about the hour that I spend at the gym a few times a week, but all the other differences it has made, like carrying my senior pit without pain in my back and along the sciatic nerve.

I've never worked out before and can now bench 85 lbs. I'm stronger than I've ever been in my life and have heard comments from friends about my more athletic gait and stance.

I was introduced to Jabir through my brother who is a total fitness nut, while I myself, am not. If you're looking for a coach who understands that fitness is not a one size fits all experience, Jabir is just that. He's so friendly and laid back, it makes it easy to want to work out with him. Jabir was hands down the best personal training experience I have had. Very well equipped space. I especially liked the turf option for the exercises.
I had a severe knee injury a couple years back. I went to First Law Fitness to gain strength and flexibility prior to a complete knee replacement. The sessions were a combination of learning and testing limits. It was a mixture of therapy and a fun workout. I was most impressed how he could recall the reps and weights of exercises I did 2-3 sessions earlier. Time flys by!
Lately things have progressed into dietary advice and guidance. He has been really helpful in determining new eating habits since going to an overnight schedule.
The dedication he has to his craft is admirable.
Some of the group outings locally in the park close to his spot and the adventures on MLK drive were the most vigorous and Fun!

I signed up for a one month Kickstart program to get a spark into my own fitness program. My trainer provided me with a fitness app and weekly sessions where we discussed topics like nutrition and fitness coaching.

My trainer helped give me the push I needed to get back into good routines of working out and eating healthy, and gave feedback on my diet and workout routine which I kept track of on a daily basis.

I wanted the convenience of working out at home, but also wanted structure to my workouts because finding the perfect YouTube video wasn’t cutting it. I also am recovering from a back injury, and still wanted intensity and strength building while healing my injury. I signed on to work with Jabir on a 3 month regimen. I wanted to lose weight and feel good on a budget. I wanted to buy a minimum amount of equipment and do all at home exercises.

Jabir and I met for a 1 on 1 consultation where he asked questions about my current state and desired state. From there he created a customized diet and workout routine to maximize my current equipment and keep me motivated to improve.

We used a great app to log all calorie intake, workouts and communicate. Jabir was motivational, honest and positive during our 3 months together.
