Best decision ever to join the MedGym. They keep me in the game. Haley is my trainer and grows a program that works. I look forward to getting there because I belong. After a knee replacement, I needed more help and this training is working. Great folks, no pressure, just helps.

I started visiting the MedGym last spring. It is one of the best healthy lifestyle choices I have made in my life. The trainers are amazing. They show a genuine interest in their clients' wellness, stressing the pain-free, mobility goals for most of us. As we age, pain rears its ugly head when you least expect it. I have increased my strength pre-surgery on my knee, and on track for a faster recovery. Now, I just need to get the my stitches removed. Highly recommend.

I had actively participated in a group workout program for more than decade but as I aged I began to experience injuries that required me to curtail or skip my normal routine. It became obvious me that a one size fits all program would no longer work for me. Thankfully I found Med Gym who were able to tailor a program that meets my specific needs. I almost didn’t try The Med Gym because I thought it was too expensive. But I really felt my muscles getting weaker with age so I signed up and gave it a month to see if it was worth it. I’m about to start my 6th month and have no plans of stopping any time soon. It is so worth it. I feel stronger and I’m so glad I made this investment in my own well being. The staff is wonderful and I enjoy the changes customized to fit my personal goals by Caitlin. She’s great but I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the trainers. The added benefit of making new friends is also a big plus!

I came to the Med Gym because I wanted to start strength training as I age and wanted to work with a trainer who would direct me in correct form to avoid injury. I've had the pleasure of working with Calvin Nause. My initial plan was to stay for 3 or 4 months and then, for convenience, transition to exercising at home. I'm now into my 8th month and have stayed longer than planned because of the benefit I'm feeling, and to my surprise, how much I've been enjoying the exercise and atmosphere at the Med Gym.
The staff is very friendly, encouraging but also challenging. I'm very glad I finally took the plunge and plan to keep strengthening exercise in my weekly routine.

I had an injury and finished physical therapy and realized I needed a gym that would meet me where I was physically and help bring me to a better state. I am seeing a slow but steady improvement as I work to improve my current state in hopes to stay strong as I approach retirement. I am so happy I found The Med Gym! The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The first day I met my trainer, Kade, I knew I had found the place to reach my health and wellness goals. After a thorough assessment of my fitness level, Kade prepared an exercise plan that challenges me, and he updates it every 4-5 weeks to target different areas and to keep me interested. He is kind, patient, and fun as he teaches me each new exercise. I have gained strength, endurance, and balance while improving my overall health. The Med Gym is a gym for all ages where you will not feel intimidated, but you will feel the welcoming atmosphere, the great energy from all the staff, and have fun while you are reaching your fitness goals!

Back in the fall I was scrolling on social media and I saw something about The Med Gym, which I had passed by, but knew nothing about. Because of that post, I contacted the gym to find out about it, and that was one of the best decisions I made. I had noticed a decline in my flexibility and mobility so when I met with Calvin, he explained how resistance training would make a difference for me. Now, after just a few months, I am amazed at the noticeable difference it has made. I’ve been to other local gyms where I felt I was just a number, but not at The Med Gym. Here, I have a trainer who is invested in helping me meet with success. He makes sure I’m doing each exercise correctly and every four to five weeks, I am challenged with a new series of exercises. Whether you want to recapture the flexibility of a younger you or maintain and improve your flexibility, I suggest you contact this gym for a better, healthier you.

After a spinal cord injury and experiencing paraplegia below my waist, I spent 18 months in extensive physical therapy. When released from the therapy I felt that I needed to continue with an exercise program to increase my balance and core and leg strength.
My PT therapist suggested that I contact David at MedGym in Carlisle. I am so thankful to have been led to this Great facility!
I started working with Calvin with one on one training and continued twice a week for 2 months and then switched to group sessions and have been doing twice a week for 2 months.
It has been a fantastic journey and would recommend MedGym to anyone who is interested in improving their strength, stamina, and overall wellbeing!!

I LOVE the Med Gym! When I started in August 2024, I was wheelchair bound and not able to walk. Trainer Haley is professional, encouraging, and always evaluating my progress. She has
created workout routines that has me out of the wheelchair! Strengthening my muscles, through the use of weights and movement is the way to go. I encourage others to come in and get moving. I feel so much better.

As a Type 2 diabetic and an older man in my 70's the MedGym entered my life several years ago after realizing that working out in my home gym was not adequate. Losing weight and keeping it off and lowering blood glucose were necessary goals but I needed guidance and encouragement to maintain an ongoing exercise and nutrition program. David Drinks and Calvin Nause have been my primary trainers over the years, and I have complete confidence in them. They listen and are responsive to my comments when something isn't working or is painful and accommodation is made. Yet, they push me forward when they understand my capability. I also needed to work on my balance and flexibility in addition to strength and cardio training. My goals are being achieved with a three times a week routine. They have made a significant difference in my enjoyment of life and my health as both weight and blood sugar numbers have dropped to healthier levels. I can't thank them enough for their assistance!

The Med Gym is s fantastic place to get back in shape, I started there 7 months ago and was barely able to walk a block after a previous back injury. Calvin worked with me designing a plan to help me get back in shape. 2 months ago I was able to enjoy walking daily on a trip to Italy.
Highly recommend this gym, the trainers work with you to develop a exercise plan that works on your weaknesses. They are right by you making sure your doing the exercises correctly and are so encouraging.

After physical therapy for some issues I was having, I decided that I wanted to start going to a gym, but also wanted to be sure that I would be working with someone who could help me to do the exercises with proper form. I appreciated how the Med Gym evaluated where I was at and crafted a workout plan to keep my improvement going. I feel stronger in just a few short months. Med Gym is exactly what I was looking for. Customized training schedules, smaller gym setting with semi-private sessions. All the trainers have strong credentials and very friendly, helpful personalities. They provide as much support as needed or wanted. I love the access to the InBody scan, which measures body composition very accurately (fat, muscle, water, etc.). To see the difference in my numbers after just a few months was proof of my efforts and very motivating. Nutrition counseling is also offered and next on my list.

I joined the gym to counter the effects of aging. The atmosphere is welcoming for all ages and abilities. After 3 months of twice-weekly workouts, I am happy with the process and the results. I would highly recommend this gym and all the staff. I have had problems with my back since I had a herniated disc years ago. I had surgery, physical therapy and three different trainers over the years before I found Med Gym and David Drinks. All the trainers are well educated, professional and listen to you and your concerns. I have been almost pain free since working with David and his exercise programs. You will not find another gym in the area who can do what they do.

I went to Med Gym after finishing PT due to an SI joint problem in my back. The pain was probably caused by a muscle imbalance due to an injury I incurred on that side. The PT helped reduce the pain but did not relieve it completely. David Drinks at Med Gym put me through a series of tests to determine what areas needed strengthening, stability and flexibility. He then created an exercise routine for me to meet those needs. I like that David pays close attention to my form when doing the exercises so I get the full benefit from them. The pain is almost gone now and I plan to continue going to Med Gym to stay strong and healthy and prevent other issues. I like that the program is focused on functional movement of the whole body. I want to continue being active into my golden years and I know the Med Gym will be my partner in helping me to achieve that goal.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at the Med Gym. There's a wide variety of people there, from a few teenagers to (more) older folks. You don't get this feeling, like you do at some gyms, that there's all these "studs" here and you're somehow inadequate. Every person has their own personalized program that they're focusing on. There's always someone available who can answer any questions you have. I know that this program has changed my life for the better and I highly recommend it for anyone.

I have been going to the Med Gym for over three years. I began going there because my knees were bothering me in spite of exercising that I did on my own. After learning about the assessments and individualized workout programs I decided to give it a try. I was impressed with their knowledge of specific exercises to help me with strength and mobility, as well as the variety of exercises. Each month they change your exercises so you continue be challenged. They also are very good at demonstrating how to do the exercises and helping you to do them correctly. I believe this gym is unique, because of the amount of individual attention each member receives by truly qualified and certified exercise specialists. It has definitely helped me get stronger and move better.

I have been attending scheduled sessions with David Drinks for over seven months now - not only does David put together extremely thoughtful exercise routines, but he works through them with me with a smile and incredible professional courtesy. It’s fun to go to MedGym, and I feel noticeably healthier and stronger because of my time there. They have also made it easy for me to fit in regular appointments around a busy work schedule.

Came into the Med Gym after experience an overuse hip injury. After a few months of rehab and specific muscle/flexibility work I no longer experience the same hip pain. Not only that, I've gotten stronger in so many other areas. The team at The Med Gym has been incredibly flexible considering the current Covid guidelines as well, offering a service to provide a custom workout for you to do at home with the equipment you have available.

The Med Gym created a personal plan for me which addressed all the ways I needed to physically improve. The professional trainers helped me one-on-one through the exercises and taught me everything I needed to know. After having to go online with the gym they sent me more plans with videos to help me learn the ropes from a distance. The trainers cater to your precise strength level and push you to do your best. I have never been more flexible and can see myself becoming more and more fit every week. The trainers are so friendly and their communication is excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I was one of the early clients at Med Gym in late 2014. I came there almost directly from an ICU. I got a lot of personal attention, good advice, and encouragement from the trainers. I lost 100 pounds, and I made myself strong and as healthy as I'd been in decades. Yes, I did the work, but the trainers made that work possible and encouraged me every step of the way. I'm on Covid lockdown right now, but when I get vaccinated, I'll be back!

I joined The Med Gym close to a year ago, at a time when I was feeling rather discouraged due to having so many limitations from an extensive medical history and orthopedic surgeries.
I had just finished 3 months of physical therapy from shippensburg but I was still unable to perform most activities that I had to avoid due to pain.
A distant acquaintance highly recommended David to me at The Med Gym.
My first consultation with David put my mind at ease, though I was still very hesitant to begin exercises due to my limitations and pain.
He worked with me and demonstrated great knowledge in body mechanics and overall health in training the body and continues to do so.
I have come a long ways and it’s because of David and The Med Gym. I have learned most importantly, to not rush a recovery but to also trust in your body’s capabilities.
Also I discovered the importance of having a personal trainer. My experience has been the best decision I could have made. I always look forward to my gym sessions and looking back I am amazed how far I have come.

Since beginning training a couple months ago, I have already felt progress in my strength, coordination and ability to move with greater comfort. I also feel greater confidence in exercising on my own. My trainer David took time to listen to my goals and unique challenges as a musician and graduate student, completing a comprehensive screening and developing a custom warmup and exercise routine. David consistently updates the routine with progressions and provides adapted routines that I can easily do at home with little to no equipment. Trainers at Med Gym balance time between each client, demonstrating movements, encouraging proper form, answering questions and being positive and receptive. When I am in the Med Gym, I feel comfortable, supported and able to focus on my exercise and progress. I continue to be inspired by the Med Gym's diverse client base, with athletes, musicians, military officers, teachers and community members of all ages. I’m a 64 year old runner who has been going to The MedGym since 2016. David designed my individualized exercise program based on a functional movement screening process. He provides useful feedback to ensure that I’m executing the exercises properly. I’m thrilled with the results! Coming to the gym twice a week has enabled me to run injury free and recover from races much quicker. I tend to push my body towards its limits by running races up to a 100 miles in length. I highly recommend using The MedGym to improve your strength and mobility!
