Saw an ad for The Roost Yoga at Main Street Gym and decided to check it out — so glad I did! I love taking yoga when I travel, and Chris’ class was awesome. Great energy, clear cues, good assists, and super welcoming vibe. The space is really cute and the class worked for all levels. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

We came in from out of town for a special Sunday evening event and absolutely loved The Roost. We found plenty of free parking on a nearby side street. Upon arrival, we were immediately made to feel at home in this beautifully appointed space. They teach several different styles of yoga, something for everyone, and are equipped with plenty of good quality props. We’ll definitely visit again.

I took my very first yoga class last week and absolutely loved it! I was a bit intimidated but instantly felt welcomed and not judged and appreciated the kind words of encouragement from Chris and the rest of the class. I'm hooked at age 60 and encourage others to give it a try :)

The Roost is the best yoga studio in the area. Never have I walked into a studio that was more welcoming and inclusive. Chris makes it a point to introduce everyone to each other at the start of class, and it makes you feel like you’re an integral part of the community. His style is equal parts challenging and relaxing. He does an excellent job of balancing the class and you leave feeling grounded and whole. Erica is also excellent. She makes Ashtanga accessible and provides practical insights that remind you that the poses mean nothing if you’re not breathing!

Chris is the teacher who made me love and appreciate yoga. Because of his gentle teaching and encouragement, yoga will always be a part of my life. He is accepting, knowledgeable and hilarious. Prepare to learn, to see your body and mind morph into balance, and laugh with abandon. This guy is legit. Roost up!

As a beginner, I was nervous about not knowing the poses or keeping up, as I am recovering from a shoulder injury but chris was so kind, patient, and even had a great sense of humor that kept things light and fun.
His class was the perfect balance of relaxation, mindfulness, and just enough challenge to feel proud of myself. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and excited to come back. If you’re thinking about trying yoga for the first time, you’ve gotta check out the roost.

From the moment you walk in, the space feels calm, welcoming, and completely nonjudgmental—perfect for yogis of all levels, whether you're just starting out or have been practicing for years.
Chris really makes the class special. He’s funny, down-to-earth, and has a knack for slipping in well-timed jokes that always seem to lighten the mood at just the right moment. It’s not just about the yoga—his humor adds a relaxed, fun vibe to the session without taking away from the focus. Whether you're there for a challenge or just to unwind, he strikes the perfect balance every time.
