I have lived in 3 different neighborhoods across Philly, tried multiple yoga studios, and always return to Three Queens because of what they offer. I have found exercise, community, peace, stillness, warmth, safety, raw emotion, and more at this wonderful institution - much more than a yoga studio.

My experience here has been incredibly lovely. From the welcoming humans who greet you and answer any questions you may have before entering class, to the intentional instructors... a necessary shout out to Alyssa who has been incredibly supportive in my pregnancy journey; her expertise in all things prenatal and post-partum, emphasis on empowerment through movement paired with her compassion, ease, and curiosity has really added to my confidence in giving birth and becoming a mother!

three queens has been a refuge for me. the studio is comfortable and stocked with all the props you could ask for. the instruction is intentional and interactive in innovative ways. there’s always an opportunity to make suggestions and ask questions and they incorporate feedback into the flow in real time. very thankful for this space. I haven’t taken classes with all the instructors but Mariel, Adriana, Anisha and Larry are my go-to choices for a quality experience.

I don’t say this lightly — practicing at Three Queens has really transformed how I relate to my body. The focus on alignment was totally new to me before coming here, and it’s made a huge difference. My posture has improved, my back pain is less present, and overall I just notice and appreciate what my body can (and can’t) do so much more. It’s also just a spiritually and emotionally welcoming place, with kind and supportive teachers and a genuine commitment to community and justice on and off the mat. If you’re looking for a beautiful space, skillful and inclusive instruction, and connection to self and others—this is the place!!

Three Queens really is the best studio in Philadelphia. It's never a standard sequence. Instructors bring unique and expert perspectives whether that's influenced from a physiological aspect or more of a spiritual angle. The facility itself is beautiful and they offer props to enhance the experience. And the fact that they offer free yoga on Race Street Pier in the warmer months just speaks to their mission of making yoga accessible to our community. I feel incredibly lucky to unwind here regularly and I'm looking forward to their Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Small Business Saturday deals for class packs in the coming week.

This yoga studio has an instructor for everyone. It's just about finding the right one for you. I personally enjoy that you will find classical yoga here. It's not watered down by extreme western influence and it sticks to its roots and culture. A respectful space and inclusive. They are also very accommodating to areas you want to work on. The studio is very big too.

Recently Three Queens posted information on their instagram that was upsetting to our Jewish community - (I am Jewish). They saw that the content was misinformation and misguided and took immediate action, and issued an apology. There is a lot of misinformation out there about complicated political situations. They are not "hateful", or "toxic" - they, like us and the many are doing the best they can to navigate our troubled times. Offer them grace- and support them.

Three Queens is a friendly, ethical yoga studio that honors the roots of yoga and makes everyone feel comfortable to practice. The studio space is clean and bright with lots of props available including high quality bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps, and massage balls. The diverse group of instructors are all highly knowledgable about anatomy as well as yoga philosophy. I am so lucky to have this studio in my neighborhood! I highly recommend it!

Three Queens Yoga studio is a stunning space! The room is bright, amazingly clean, functional with lots of props, blankets, mats, some beautiful plants and a groovy skeleton. It is an inviting studio with dedicated, inspired and enthusiastic teachers.
I have been practicing yoga for almost 30 years and have been lucky to study with some wonderful teachers.
Mariel, the owner of this studio, is on that list of wonderful teachers.
She is a smart, intuitive, dedicated and passionate practitioner.
Excellent at threading the philosophical aspects of yoga through out the physical practice. Often reminding , even long haul yogis like myself, all that our yoga practice has to offer.
As a new resident of Philadelphia, I am fortunate to have found such a nice yoga community and such a lovely room to practice yoga together.

I’ve been doing yoga for about 10 years and have experienced gym yoga and a number of great studios in Philly. But Three Queens Yoga is my yoga home because Mariel (the owner) not only provides great teachers with a variety of approaches, but she has created a caring community that is really special. Want a great, fun workout? Check! Want restorative? Check! Want great workshops on not only asana, but philosophy, anatomy etc? Check! Everyone is welcomed with open arms (I’m almost 62!). ❤️ this place.

Three Queens is a village in Queen Village and the surrounding universe, where all are welcome and the teachers are amazing. Traveling or just can’t make it to a class? No problem, because classes are livestreamed, restreamed, and replayed.

I’ve been practicing Yoga for many years, at numerous studios where I live and other locations when traveling. TQY is, in my experience, the best studio, with the most professional, skilled, knowledgeable, caring and safe instructors than any others where I have practiced. .

I started here a few weeks ago and I love it. Their tiered membership is what drew me in but the environment keeps me coming back 5 times a week. The teachers are all top notch and the studio itself is beautiful.

There is nothing but love I have for this studio, the teachers, their alignment focused practice style, their action to make yoga more sustainable and accessible to those that want/need yoga, and their love and devotion to the Three Queens community and communities beyond! Not to mention they also have a pretty awesome boutique & a great shopping experience is alway a plus 😉

Besides from a wide selections of irl/virtual classes, they also offer pre-recorded classes, workshops & teacher trainings.

I love you Three Queens. Thank you for doing what you guys do to make yoga more inclusive, attainable & sustainable!

Three Queens Yoga has been a life-changing experience for me as a spiritual human being. I found them right before the pandemic hit and all throughout, they have been nothing but supportive, generous, and kind to their patrons. Zoom classes are now offered as well as recordings, and tiered membership pricing is available to make classes accessible to those who otherwise could not afford it.

Three Queens works tirelessly to counteract toxic fitness culture and voices its roots in ancient yogic wisdom with their community agreements (you can read them on the website). They have a wide range of teachers with diverse backgrounds and class offerings, from restorative to int/adv classes. You can even register for recorded classes to watch at home at your own convenience.

All are welcome at this studio and it is my second home, in all honesty. As a yoga teacher myself I cannot emphasize enough the depth at which this studio has strengthened my own practice and my capacity as a person to be aware, resilient, and compassionate to others. Three Queens is not just a beautiful studio and business, it is a family. I highly encourage you to join it and see for yourself.

Through ClassPass I had tried many studios in Philadelphia, but I purchased a membership exclusively for Three Queens because (in my opinion) they operate on a higher level than many of the others. The studio is very clean, spacious, and welcoming to newcomers.
I find most classes have an excellent balance of both the spiritual and physical aspects of yoga, but they do offer more specific classes for when I want to push my practice further into one of those directions. I particularly enjoy the Saturday classes with Larry as he is quite gifted in his ability to explain the how and why in each pose and offers many tips to really dial up the intensity should you want that.

I've been a part of the Three Queens community on and off for over five years. Even as someone who no longer lives in Philadelphia, it feels like my yoga home in more ways than describable. The teachers are grounded in caring and in helping students grow on their individual yoga journeys. I feel so lucky to be able to participate, even virtually. Thank you, Three Queens, for all you have and continue to teach me.

I've been doing yoga for about 15 years all around Philadelphia and this is my favorite place to practice so far. I had read that Mariel was a great teacher but I've been impressed with them all. I can practice at home as much as I want (never as focused as I would like) but there's just still something about being in a beautiful space with really great instruction. Also, the tiered monthly membership options made me feel like I was supporting a larger community, not just paying for a class. Three Queens is not the closest studio to my house and it's not on my way home from work, but it is now where I practice.

I love Three Queens—it’s one of my favorite yoga studios in Philly! The teachers are very knowledgeable and I feel like I learn something new every time I’m in the studio. I’m also very grateful that they demonstrate their commitment to yogic philosophies and social justice by offering tiered community memberships to make yoga more accessible and taking measures to keep their community safe during the pandemic.

Been to several classes here. The instructors are good, but they really talk too much. I felt distracted in my practice because of the nonstop talking during class.

Studio is pretty!

Unfortunately they permit physical contact (hands on contact), between their young student yogis and clients. This should never occur. With or without permission an unlicensed teacher shouldn’t touch a client during a session. It can and did provoke an injury. Although I never said anything I never returned. I should have spoken up and now regret not doing so.

Such a beautiful, comfortable, loving yoga studio and space. My sister recommended me to go here and I started out with a new members pass. It was such a great studio to get back into my practice. They offer many different classes with different teachers (who are all amazing and very different, it never feels like your in the same class !) I also worked in a restaurant in the neighborhood who many of the staff/ students would frequent. All very friendly ... Would highly recommend !

DIG Yoga in Philly is really excellent.

I received a 5-class card as a gift once we arrived in the neighborhood, and I have had a variety of the teachers. Each one is knowledgeable. I've mostly only attended the Basics classes to get my yoga- and studio-footing about me. I have been practicing for at least 10 years (I still consider myself a beginner, however; though I usually understand cues better than a beginner would), and the Basics classes still provide enough of a challenge. The instructors can walk you through even the most difficult poses and take time to meet each student where they are in their practice. With no judgement. One thing that threw me off in my first class was the joking and laughing the instructor did (not, like, knock-knock jokes; just silly goofy sayings or pointers, etc), but I've enjoyed my practice more in participation with folks who are serious enough but not severe.

Regarding the general staff and feel of the place: the person who purchased the gift for me made specific mention of the friendliness of the staff. They smiled and walked her through the options and were excited she was purchasing this for someone else. I've found no evidence to the contrary. This studio has a neighborhood feel in that folks are friendly and helpful, but they can certainly leave you alone if you want to be left alone.

Since I last reviewed the studio, two of my friends (who purchased the gift for me) have started going to the beginners workshop series (they are true beginners, too) and have reported that they love it and anticipate purchasing class cards for themselves (though they do wish they could do the beginners series immediately again)!

This will be my neighborhood studio for the foreseeable future.
