I took Lisa G's Yoga Flow last Sunday, and she immediately became my favorite teacher. She not only asked everyone's name before the class but also encouraged each of us with our names during the class. She naturally embedded philosophy behind certain yoga poses and enlightened me spiritually. She designed the right amount of reset poses in between so I was able to rest and catch up. At the end, she woke us up with a tiny wind chime. I felt super refreshed.

I'm so lucky to have met Lisa and I'm looking forward to taking more classes with her:)

Thrive has a wonderful group of instructors who are absolutely amazing at teaching and connecting with each person in the studio. Whatever your fitness background might be, they will support you every step of the way, help you get stronger and see results.
Thrive also has the best front desk team ever. They are so lovely and always very helpful.
Plus it is such a warm and welcoming space which feels like a little getaway from the real world while building a nice Pilates/yoga routine. If you’re looking for a studio to join in Philly, this is it!

Had the best experience doing the Beginner Course/Into Course with Maya! It was so fun, so informative, and a great workout (also the staff was so nice)! I highly recommend it for the girlies who might have had injuries or mobility issues in the past (I have bad knees from an injury that I had a couple years ago, but this class still gave me a great workout without putting any pressure on my knees). Couldn’t recommend this place enough. I’ll definitely be coming back in the near future!

I love Thrive! I started with the intro unlimited package and was hooked ever since. The staff is talented, educated, and friendly. It truly feels like a community and I enjoy the challenge each class presents. If you’re considering Pilates this is definitely the place to be. It’s great for every level! Can’t recommend it enough!!

We had such a wonderful experience at this Pilates studio for my bachelorette party! They were kind enough to accommodate us with a private room, which made the experience feel extra special. The instructor was incredibly sweet, welcoming, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout the class. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for a private session. I highly recommend this studio for both individual classes and special group events!

This was my first yoga class, and it was amazing! I really liked the place and the atmosphere. There were about 10 people in the class, which was perfect because the trainer could pay attention to each of us and make sure we didn’t hurt ourselves. I’ll definitely be doing it again!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Thrive Pilates & Yoga. I was in Philly for an extended weekend and found this studio. They offered several classes, and all were excellent. I signed up for the two-week unlimited membership. Each staff member and instructor was welcoming. The studio provided lockers with locks, which was awesome. The classes were small and intimate. Every instructor did a fantastic job talking/cueing through movements. This is an amazing studio!

Front desk: Very welcoming, gave a brief overview of the accommodations and layout of the studio.

Accommodations: Lockers are free! There’s space to hang coats and store shoes. Rooms are clean and smell fresh. Water is available for refilling cups/bottles. No parking, which is to be expected for the location.

Class: I did mat Pilates for the first time ever. It was moderately difficult, which was perfect for me. The instructor was very encouraging and helpful, without being overbearing or condescending. The instructor (Maggie) offered modified options for some of the exercises that are more difficult for beginners, which was helpful for me as I have hip injuries from military service and have not done much physical activity in a while.

Overall a great experience, I will be attending classes every Tuesday.

I’ve dabbled in yoga before but I am definitely beginner level. I decided to take a class today at Thrive Yoga, and the instructor was an absolute gem. She was super friendly, offered modifications for those of us who were beginners and even asked if we were okay with her making adjustments. Gotta love someone who respects both your personal space and your level of flexibility - or lack of flexibility LOL

Now, onto why I’m knocking off two stars. Enter: the front desk woman. I walked in curious about membership options, thinking yoga might be my ticket to finally managing life’s stress - a high hope but nonetheless can’t knock it till you try it. But nope! This woman looked at me like I’d just asked her if the sky was green when I inquired about how to rent a mat. The vibe? Less “welcome to your yoga journey” and more “ugh, another clueless beginner.”

The class was great, but judgmental and condescending front desk left me with a really bad taste. If you’re a beginner looking for a warm, fuzzy welcome—maybe bring your own mat and try another studio! I am still hopeful that yoga will be my cure to my stress (again high hopes) so I will be trying other local studios.

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, I thought this would be a good time to leave a review appreciating my amazing teachers at Thrive. I was never successful in finding a fitness routine I stuck with long-term, until I joined here. I was always intimidated by gyms and studios - I'm not your conventionally "fit" person with Instagrammable workout looks - and I hated places that included things like body scans. I decided to try yoga here, and I truly cannot say enough good things about this studio and its teachers. After starting off with an intro pack of private lessons with Courtney, I started going three times a week at varying times that fit my schedule, and have taken classes with several different instructors, each with their own flair, but all of whom have been so knowledgeable, so welcoming, and simply fantastic. Victoria's flow class is an incredible, creative workout that borders on a power class, Julie's yin class helps me wind down, have a great stretch session, and keep the workweek stress at bay, and Jessi's power yoga class is sort of the "boss level" that really challenges me and kicks off my day with a rush of feeling accomplished. I’ve felt really rewarded by my progress in my physical and mental health, and for once in my life I actually look forward to - not dread - working out. Thank you to all of the wonderful teachers at Thrive who have made this transformation possible for me - and see you at class! :)

I have really enjoyed classes at thrive in the last few months, particularly Zha’s Pilates mid day escape class. CARCINOGENS!
This is not against the instructors or the staff present. But be careful coming here, they improperly use disinfectants that are CARCINOGENS
The owner gets CaviWipes which are medical-grade and should never make contact with skin. It’s immediately on the instructions for use. They ask clients to use these to wipe down, WITHOUT ANY GLOVES, mats and other material that will eventually come in contact with the skin of whoever is working out with them. It is extremely irresponsible putting your clients and your workers at risk with these medical grade disinfectants without any disclaimer. You are harming whoever steps a foot in the studio.
Again, this is against the owners who took this decision. The staff was nothing but amazing and the class was incredible! But as somebody in healthcare I cannot overlook the safety hazard caused to employees and clients.
Edit: the owner cares more about me calling this mistake out rather than feeling sorry for allegedly using this for 4 years. She decided to email me personally to try for me to take this review down rather than focusing on informing her clientele and employees of the serious exposure they’ve been having

I have taken both individual and group classes for about half a year, and I enjoyed the most my classes with Maggie Sieleman-Ross. She is an exceptional instructor whose passion for teaching is evident in every class. Her methods are both innovative and engaging, making learning a truly enjoyable experience. Also, the studio manager, Abby, is great as she helped me to pick the right classes and membership based on my needs.

I rated the studio 3 stars instead of 5 due to the absence of a direct phone line, making it challenging to contact them. Additionally, Dayzia, the new administrative assistant, inaccurately calculated my membership classes, leading to a request for payment of non-owed classes. This caused unnecessary stress and was initially handled in a rushed and unprofessional manner through 10 lengthy emails. Although the issue was resolved after presenting proof of my attendance and payments, the ordeal highlighted a lack of organization and an overreliance on email for urgent communications. Despite the excellent classes and instructors like Maggie, the studio's administrative shortcomings detract from the overall experience, suggesting a need for improved communication methods and more diligent administrative oversight.

After a few years away from pilates, I decided to sign up for the pilates reformer intro pack to get back into a routine. My previous experience with pilates was about 4 years of mat classes and 1 year of pilates reformer classes. The pilates reformer class I took with Melissa was great! The class is small (4 people!), so there is the ability for the instructor to check and correct your form, as needed. An absolutely amazing studio. The instructors are so knowledgeable, so helpful, so inspiring. The class offerings are a perfect mix to achieve improved strength, flexibility, mindfulness, and positivity. The space is lovely and the clientele are supportive and friendly. Thrive Pilates has changed my life! I've been a member at Thrive for about one year and I've never felt so at home at a studio. The teachers are accommodating, extremely knowledgeable, fun, spunky, challenging, and have great playlists! I tried pilates on a whim last year after purchasing a groupon for Thrive. Kate A. & Mari R's classes were such a fantastic intro to the practice that I was compelled to become a monthly member. Thank you Thrive for everything!

I started coming here with Class Pass. Eventually, I just ditched Class Pass and joined Thrive Pilates. Karlee and Marissa are my favorite instructors and I feel great after my workouts. They always correct my form and make sure I am getting the best out of my workouts. All the staff at Thrive is excellent and they really make it a great studio to belong to! Highly recommend.

The studio is a comfortable space with wonderful instructors. I take pilates classes. Even when some of them choose to have music, they have never played it loudly. As someone with mono aural hearing, this is incredibly appreciated and surprisingly rare (based on my experiences trying pilates elsewhere in the area).

The energy and environment at Thrive is so welcoming and always positive. Hally and the instructors are all excellent at keeping you motivated throughout the entire class. I have never loved to exercise like this before- usually it’s a chore, but Thrive makes it super fun and it’s great to see results and feel healthy too!! ❤️

There is no superior medication one can take to improve ones health more than these work outs. Novice or experienced yogis can get a great session applying the positions to their own ability and get fit mentally and physically. I am so thrilled I found my life’s passion at this studio through a Groupon. Great location, experienced teachers and many classes to choose from throughout the entire day. It’s one big happy family.

I can’t tell you how much I look forward to walking up the steps of Philly Power Yoga & Thrive Pilates. It’s a place where I can leave the rest of my day behind for and hour or so. The teachers are kind and caring. They guide with mindfulness, pairing breath with motion. Not only do I leave sweaty & exhausted from a strong practice - I also feel lighter, grounded, and inspired.

The teachers are super friendly and inviting and so is the entire community. I’ve made multiple connections with students and I look forward to seeing their smiling faces. It’s a place you can come and just be. Be present. Be yourself. I am so thankful to be a part of this community.

I was introduced to Philly Power yoga almost 4 yrs ago. My first yoga experience. I was looking for some "grounding" in my life as well as a rigorous workout that was already a part of my life.
The instructors were(are)amazing, the work out intense, the " community" loving. Can't imagine not having this studio in my life!

I've lived in Philly for over 7 years and have jumped from yoga studio to yoga studio to try and find a good fit (yoga nomad). I've found it! Philly Power Yoga teachers are encouraging and reassuring, and the classes include all levels - there's a great mix of students in each one. They're also the exact right balance between physical and meditative. The studio is peaceful and well-kept, with friendly & knowledgeable staff and members. Steve, Colette, Lindsay, Troy--pretty much all the instructors--really take time to get to know their students and help them develop their practice. Great yoga family!

Philly Power Yoga & Thrive Pilates is a great place to practice and grow as a student as well as teacher! Each teacher is thoughtful in their approach and cares about the students who attend. I love to practice in a full class, where we are all working hard together as a collective. Not everyone may like a full class of dedicated yogis but I do! The energy from a a full class is awesome! We laugh, we sweat and we love our community of teachers students and staff!

I can’t begin to express how much I love PPY. It is truly a community of loving, caring, and inspirational people who come together to feel better and stronger. Hally and Steve have built a place where people of all levels can grow and develop their practice. The teachers don’t just teach, they also care about the individuals who come into practice. I’m so thankful PPY has become my Philly family!

A friend and I went to try this studio and the first instructor we took was not welcoming or friendly. she spoke down to us. We were willing to try one more instructor before we decided on the studio, the second instructor was nice so I went to buy a groupon for 10 classes (like i have done at all other philly gyms with similar restrictions on the groupon) The studio was unwilling to accept the groupon and was not helpful in their communication. poor customer service.

I've been a proud client of Thrive Pilates for many years...As a (washed-up) former athlete, I was looking for a great workout for both my mind + body and have found that and much more at Thrive. The instructors are incredibly well-trained, the vibe of the studio is warm and the classes are challenging.

I’ve been doing private Pilates on the reformer (and other amazing machines) for a bit a year now and it’s been the most transformative fitness experience of my life. My late 30s taught me that I need to switch it up to get results, and the toning, lengthening and stretching has produced incredible results. All of the teachers are knowledgeable and kind, and I specially work with Hally (owner) and Mari. I drive in from the suburbs to take one class per week, but if I lived in the city, I would be here for the privates and classes every day!

This is the “go to” spot for both yoga and Pilates in Rittenhouse Square. Hard to pick which I like best; the Pilates mat, Power Yoga and TRX clssses here are equally good. Every time I try a new class or get a new instructor, I am impressed at the time and preparation that is put in. The great part about his place is that when I leave I don’t just feel like I got a great workout, I leave full of positive energy. I can’t recommend it highly enough !

It is a good studio! I took many Yoga, Weight,,,,, classes before. Yoga is too easy for me but I love Pilates classes, which has not only stretch but also some hard weights. It will be better if the class room is bigger and take more people in one class.

I don't have a ton of experience with pilates, but these classes were approachable yet challenging. For the regular pilates, don't expect to be sweating bullets or anything, but the ab series is killer. It was perfect because I went in the morning and didn't need to shower after and could straight carry on with my day! No need to bring a mat! Each class is different and the hour goes by very quickly which is why I prefer this to barre.

I also finally got to try piloxing and I LOVED it. Ann Marie was so cute and you could tell she had a ton of dance experience. The class has a boxing, standing pilates, and dance series. The boxing is regular jabs/punches, kickboxing kinda stuff, the standing pilates is basically ballet (arabesques and the sorts) and the dance part was salsa/latin dancing. Each series was like 5min, and then we just kept looping through for the hour. It does take a lot of coordination since you're moving quickly.. I saw a lot of girls struggling with this.. but DON'T stand in front/block the mirrors if you aren't doing it properly! (snobby..sorry) I was sore and exhausted after this super high energy fun class.
