I highly recommend this gem of a studio for women in Ardmore. I’ve been working out with Bri for the past four months and I really enjoy our sessions. She is attentive to my needs and makes sure to adjust the exercises to meet my individual constraints.

I am 75 yrs old and out of shape but one has to start somewhere. I could not have picked a better place. My trainer Jenn must have been handpicked for me bc she knows exactly how to work with all my limitations and I am getting stronger! I would like to give up every time before I get started and then feel so accomplished when I leave!! I see at most one other person in there training when I’m there, usually much younger and more advanced but I feel no judgement whatsoever and this is what stands out about this place vs. the much less expensive YMCA near me where so many people of both sexes and ages are flexing their muscles. Def worth the extra money to come to Train and Nourish!

It's easy to miss this small women's only studio on a side street in Ardmore off Lancaster Ave, but I'm so glad I found it! I've been taking the group fitness classes here for about a year and a half now and I love them! The studio is clean and bright and has a wide variety of well-maintained equipment. The group strength classes are full body, and you hit all the muscle groups as you work through ten different stations. And I love that it's never the same class twice. There's always a new variety of exercises to challenge you and keep you from getting bored. I've taken class with several different trainers and they're all fabulous. Not only are they friendly and encouraging, but they're also very knowledgeable and attentive to proper form. But what I love most about coming here is the positive vibes I get in every class. Every person in every class is welcoming and encouraging no matter where you are in your fitness journey. I always leave the studio feeling stronger, happier, and more confident than when I walked in.

I truly love this studio. I am not a 'gym' person, but I have found myself genuinely enjoying and learning from these classes—not to mention actually getting stronger. Every session is different, the atmosphere is so supportive, and the music gets you going! The best part is truly the trainers—kind, knowledgeable, zero judgment, and fun! I love this place. I started going to group classes three months ago with no previous weight training experience. Kaitlyn provides great instruction with a focus on proper form, which I so appreciate as an absolute beginner. I really enjoy the group environment as well—everyone is at a different level, but are friendly and supportive of each other. Since starting I’ve made it through the holidays, travel, and some health issues but have kept coming back when I’m able, which is a first for me! 😂 The class goes by pretty quickly now and I definitely see an improvement in my strength and endurance. I’m looking forward to building on my progress.

I started weight training at Train and Nourish in Ardmore in January and it's great! I haven't gone to a gym in years and I had forgotten how much fun it is - especially when it's just women and all the trainers are women. And I love working with Kat, my trainer! She understands my goals and has been very encouraging. Kat's helping me build strength - I've already added to the amount of weight I can use. And we're working on balance, also important. I feel fantastic after every session with Kat!

Kat and I have been working together since January and she has changed the way I view strength training. Autumn is amazing! She is very knowledgeable and always pushes me to do better and to keep pushing myself for better results. I never exercised with weights over 10 pounds and now I can squat 50 pounds in less than 6 months. She is very easy to schedule with and accommodating to my schedule. I have had a great experience at Train & Nourish. My trainer, Alex, is absolutely amazing, and I look forward to our training sessions every week. She always takes the time to demonstrate the exercise and makes sure my form is correct. I have become so much stronger, and it is very rewarding to be able to see results that are not scale-oriented. Autumn is the best! I was very apprehensive when I first started personal training because I knew nothing about working out, but Autumn has taught me so much. She is very patient and understanding but also pushes me when I need it. Her group classes are great too! This place is everything I wanted and more! I’ve been working with Jenn for about two months and I couldn’t be happier. She listened to my goals and created a plan really catered to my needs. She knows her stuff and I love that she’s able to explain in depth why we’re doing what we’re doing, why we do it in the order that we do, etc. She's always able to show me several modifications and how to do an exercise on the equipment at my home gym. With Jenn I have finally managed to get rid of my chronic low back pain, and she has been my biggest cheerleader throughout the process. I originally signed up for two months of training with Jenn but I’ve actually started to enjoy it so much I’m still going! I was hoping to build muscle but Jenn has also helped me build my confidence and genuinely enjoy working out. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about it to do it.
I also like how generally private the studio is, including how they block the windows facing the street so you don’t get random people staring in at you.

100% recommend! I've been attending personal training sessions with Jenn for a little over two months and it's truly been a wonderful experience working with her and this studio! She's pushed me to grow and get stronger and we have a great rapport so I definitely feel comfortable telling her how I'm feeling about any particular exercise. Also, as someone that hates group classes, I appreciate that it's absolutely one-on-one - no reason to feel self-conscious at all. Absolutely try it out!

I went to Full Body Strength with Autumn. It was a nice circuit based workout with 10 evercises in the circuit. Autumn was helpful with corrections and adjustments. There is an assortment of equipment including two-three benches, a cable machine, a set of TRX bands, one to two squat like racks, a treadmill. It was a moderately chill and straightforward workout.

This studio is the best thing to happen to Ardmore! I love my personal training sessions with Brianna - she’s highly knowledgeable and curates individualized workouts that are specific to helping me reach my goals. I can’t believe how much stronger I have gotten since beginning my sessions in September and I love that all I need to do is show up to the studio and have Brianna tell me what to do! The group classes with Kaitlyn are also my favorite - it’s fun to workout with other women in the community and Kaitlyn does a great job with making the exercises fun but effective. Fully recommend this studio if you are in the area!

Difficult to support a business who has no compassion and empathy. This is the only studio in the main line and Philly that I’ve worked with who cannot extend your class packs even when you were not able to redeem due to a family emergency. Their policy only allows class pack extension for a personal emergency, not a family emergency. Thus they are NOT a studio by women FOR women.

I love this place! I've done so many different types of workout classes (yoga, pilates, barre, cycling, you name it) and I've had a really hard time staying on track with classes because I either felt like I was not athletic enough to keep up or it was just not an enjoyable experience. But strength training in a group of other women with relatable goals is fun and refreshing, and the exercises are built to push you to work your body without overwhelming you with cardio. The classes are small and personalized, and the trainers are nice, supportive, fun, and super knowledgeable. Highly recommended!!

I never thought personal training was for me until I joined T&N. I was loving the group classes; Trainers and fellow clients are very welcoming and supportive. It was Alex’s attentiveness to my form and how she’d hand me heavier weights during class when she thought a move was looking too easy that made me first try personal training. I’ve now been training with her twice a week for over a year and it’s transformed my life. With her help I’ve done things I never thought I was capable of doing, realized a new confidence in myself, and have come to love strength training and all it offers physically and mentally. I can’t recommend T&N enough. Whether you’re new to strength training or more familiar, T&N offers the positive, challenging, and approachable environment all women deserve.

T&N is the best! If you’re new to strength training, or if you’re looking for a new class to get addicted to, T&N is great. The trainers are all incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging & kind. The classes are small, so you get focused attention. They also offer personal training, which is a great complement to the classes. Check out a class - you definitely will get hooked!
