I heard about this gym in passing and decided to schedule a consultation to check it out. During that first meeting, my now trainer Joanne took the time to really listen to my fitness goals and walk me through a plan. Before I knew it, I was signed up.
I’ve been going for just over a month now and I’ve made great progress with the full body workouts she builds for me each week. When I told her I was ready to switch up my routine and learn new skills, she was immediately supportive and came prepared with a new plan that matched my goals.
I only wanted to sign up for a few months to build knowledge and confidence in the gym. So if you’re in a similar position and want to kickstart your gym girl era, this is a great place to start. Joanne truly knows how to guide you, educate you, and help you feel like a bad ass.

I've been going to T+N for about two months now and I am so happy I signed up to train there. The space is clean and comfortable and everyone is incredibly nice. My trainer is Em and I absolutely love working out with her and chatting as we go. If she is out of town I workout with Eve who is also so nice and easy to work with. Both of them are very knowledgeable about training and push me to challenge myself while also staying safe and not risking injury. I am already feeling stronger and excited to keep up with it at T+N! Highly recommend 💛

I have been training with Joanne for several months and have had a great experience. She has progressively increased the difficulty of workouts over time and I have seen good results so far. My time with her has finally got me back into exercising which I am grateful for. The gym is easy to access near the train and decent street parking nearby.

Ok, I am NOT a "fitness" person but I really wanted to work on my strength before I get pregnant (particularly pelvic floor, back, and abdominals) so that I could be more prepared. I was happy to see pre-, peri-, and post natal training on the website, so I eagerly went to my free assessment session. Lo and behold, I was paired with Samantha, who was 7 months pregnant at the time! She explained how she would help me reach my goals and work around my IVF schedule (which is difficult, given the appointments and hormones needed)--modifying my workouts during my egg retrieval weeks so that I wasn't risking ovarian torsion. I love working with her because it's fun and I feel strong after each session (along with that bit of soreness that tells you you're alive LOL). Samantha is super knowledgeable and kind, a great combination to make a complete noob like me actually look forward to working out!! And the studio is beautiful and clean always--bonus is dogs are allowed so sometimes a furry friend will accompany you while you're trying to squat 105lbs!!!!

I’ve been working out at Train & Nourish for about 3 months now. Been doing private sessions with Casey and semi private sessions with Joanne and they’ve both been incredible. I wasn’t used to working out regularly before, but they’ve helped me build strength and confidence step by step.
Both Casey and Joanne are extremely knowledgeable and attentive, making sure the workouts are effective but never overwhelming. I’ve learned so many exercises I can now do on my own at the gym, which has been a big goal for me. They’re both encouraging, motivating, and make the sessions fun 😊

I loved Train and Nourish! I was there for a year and half and met some wonderful trainers during my time there. My most recent trainer I worked with was Samantha. I really enjoyed working with her because she was really kind. Samantha always greeted me with a smile and was easy to talk to. Most importantly she always listened to my fitness goals that I wanted to address and was very attentive to meet those goals. Samantha also encouraged me and made me feel confident and strong at every session. She is an amazing trainer!

I signed up for 1:1 classes with Eve in order to learn some foundational knowledge about lifting and gain confidence in my form. Eve is so kind, encouraging, and fun to work with. She has a ton of knowledge but always breaks things down in a way that’s easy to understand, and provides modifications for every exercise we do. I appreciate that I booked 60 minute sessions, because it gives us time to warm up and cool down and I never feel rushed. I like that Eve incorporates stretching throughout our full body workout, too. I feel so much stronger and more excited to continue lifting now!

Joanne is such a great trainer and a lovely person. I really enjoy working out with her and I’ve gotten so much stronger and gained lean muscle mass because of her. Love this studio and particularly the personal training experiences. I usually hate going to the gym, so the appeal of a women’s only gym was a huge plus for me - but also, I look forward to my workouts with Joanne and Casey. I love T&N! I started with a few group classes and really enjoyed them, but then I decided to try 1:1 personal training to get more individualized attention and workouts tailored just for me. I’ve been training with Casey for almost 3 months now, and she’s amazing!!! She’s great at gradually increasing my weights so I’m always challenged but never overwhelmed, which I really appreciate. Also thanks to her coaching, I feel way more comfortable and confident doing the exercises on my own at my gym, which was one of my goals when I first started the sessions. I’ve been training with Casey for a couple of months now, and she is truly amazing! I’ve gotten noticeably stronger since starting with her. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the science behind the workouts and always explains why we’re doing certain exercises, which has really helped me understand and stay motivated.
One of the things I appreciate most is how closely she monitors form — she doesn’t hesitate to pause and help me make adjustments, which shows how much she cares and pays attention. Joanne is wonderful and the other trainers I’ve met in passing seem friendly/great as well. The place is clean/organized and the vibe is fun and encouraging to people of varying fitness levels. Train & Nourish is a great training studio. The process of getting a consult was simple, folks are all friendly, and the space is always clean. I've been training twice a week with Joanne for the last month and she is absolutely fabulous. Joanne is very knowledgeable about fitness and training. I've been going for a month now and love it! It's a perfect fit for my lifestyle change. The modification available and the personal attn during the small group classes are just right! Nikki is very fun and I find her classes to be the just right challenge for me! I've had the honor to be in some of Jen's classes as well when she is covering for Nikki. Jen is super sweet and provides a challenge! Her modifications balances out the challenges and I enjoy her class. I've also attended Meg's classes. She's a hoot! And provides challenging classes as well! I enjoy the different dynamics! It's a very safe environment and I'm learning a lot; already seeing and feeling results as well. I got the unlimited class pass and have no regrets!

I recommend T&N to anyone looking to get into a fitness routine and sticking to it (the hardest part imo). I’ve been working with Niki since May and I just want to say how knowledgable and supportive she is! I wasn’t new to weight lifting but it has been awhile and I hadn’t been in any sort of workout routine for over 6 months. Absolutely love working with Ashley at T&N! I started training with her one year postpartum from having my second child. I was feeling broken, weak, achy, unstable. Great unique studio offering a variety of small size classes and personal training - catered to women. Each session is customized to your preferences/ goals and the trainers there are incredible and make you feel as though you’re working out with a friend as opposed to the impersonal training you sometimes tend to find elsewhere. Can be a bit pricey depending on the package you select but you get what you pay for and this is personal training, which doesn’t come cheap- so it’s worth it, in my opinion. All of the trainers at the Fishtown location are fantastic, especially Lauren- who has been amazing to work with!

Highly recommend Train & Nourish to anyone looking to start or elevate their fitness journey! I've been attending weekly personal training sessions with Lauren and frequent group classes at Train & Nourish in Fishtown for almost a year. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, creating a motivating atmosphere that keeps me coming back for more. The classes are fun and challenging - I always leave the studio feeling better than I did when I arrived.
I always struggled with self-motivation and accountability when it comes to a consistent workout routine. I was also new to strength training, and the fact that T&N is a women-only studio made me feel comfortable in exploring a new way to move my body without intimidation. Not only have I nailed down a routine with the help of T&N, but I now look forward to working out and challenging myself in class!

I highly recommend Sam for personal training! She listens to what you're looking to achieve through training with her, and then she tailors the workouts to get you there. The workouts are fun and Sam does a great job of mixing it up. I’ve been going to train and nourish fishtown since Nov ‘22 and I can’t say enough great things about the studio and my trainer Carly. The fact that it’s a women’s only gym first appealed to me because I wanted to get into weight training but didn’t know where to begin. I went the route of personal training and the confidence and consistency I’ve been able to build with Carly as my coach is incredible. I genuinely look forward to my sessions which has made it that much easier to stick with it. Carly pushes me to achieve more but is also so flexible and supportive if there’s an exercise that doesn’t feel good or a muscle or joint that’s bothering me during a session. The atmosphere of the gym is super positive and friendly and I’ve interacted with many of the other coaches who are also awesome. Train and nourish is a neighborhood gem.

I've been going to T&N (consistently, who is she?!?) for just over a year and can honestly say that this has been the best investment I've ever made in my physical and mental health. The team (shoutout to Carly!) really know what they're doing, and have helped me achieve goals I didn't even know I had. Carly has consistently been a great support system, cheerleader, and pushes me to (safely) get in one last rep or increase the weights when I need it. If you're looking for a great community of women who will help you make sustainable changes in your fitness routine T&N is the place for you!

I am so happy I decided to check this studio out a few months ago. It's such a wonderful addition to Fishtown. It's a friendly, welcoming space. The HIIT classes are accessible for all fitness levels and the trainers make sure to walk you through each exercise beforehand, give feedback on form, and help with any needed modifications. I've been attending personal training sessions with Carly for the past few months, and I've noticed improvements in how my body feels -- not to mention the confidence boost when I move up in weights! I never thought I'd look forward to Monday mornings, but training at T&N is an energizing jump into the week! I came to the studio out of shape and with no fitness background -- if I can make progress, anybody can!

Love this studio! I'm a big fan of group fitness/boutique fitness but have not really felt motivated to travel to different neighborhoods in the last couple of years to attend class. T&N is an awesome new asset to Fishtwon since we don't really have anything else like this. The classes are purposely small so you never feel crowded and you always get plenty of attention from the Instructor. It normally just feels like you're working out with friends which is so nice. You'll definitely be sore after though! :)

Train and Nourish is life changing! Such a welcoming place that is friendly to all levels, there is no intimidation factor whatsoever. I love the environment, it’s very supportive and empowering. My trainer Bailey is the best, so encouraging and is the perfect balance between challenging and affirming. Time flies while I’m there, and I feel so much stronger, more energized, and empowered in my body. Couldn’t haven dreamed of a better place!

Gotta love a women-only fitness studio! The class format is circuit training with a warm-up and a cool-down. The atmosphere is very inclusive and comfortable for any fitness level. I really enjoyed my class with Tammy - she was very good at correcting form and is very personable. Had lots of fun!
