To be honest I was very intimidated going into CrossFit in general. Jenn has made it so stress free and welcoming. This class was a challenge especially for someone like me who has little upper body strength but Jenn provided multiple modifications that made the workout challenging yet able to be accomplished based on my specific strength and skill level. Jenn is very knowledgeable and makes sure to appropriately demonstrate all skills and makes sure everyone practices each part of every skill before the workout begins to ensure safety and proper form. If you’re thinking about joining, I would highly encourage meeting with Jenn to customize your workout!

I have been coming to tried and true for over a year now. I do not think of myself as much of an athlete. When I first started attending classes I was nervous about knowing what to do, how to move , or what people would think of me. When I started I didn't even know that I wasn't suppose to kick my butt when jumping rope... I had a lot to learn. Jenn has helped me so much through this adventure of health, she helped me learn to jump rope, lift weights and just move my body better. She is an excellent teacher and I am so thankful that I have gotten to have her as my coach. She has done an excellent job of taking the fear out of working out, of making sure you can do a movement, and scaling it if need be. The tried and true community is extremely welcoming and supportive.I have found friends in class and have enjoyed working out with the entire Tried and True staff. I may still not totally know how to move my body, but Jenn has been there through my entire adventure, and her energy and kindness keep me coming back. If you are even thinking about trying out cross fit you couldn't ask for a better coach, regardless of your fitness level

This place is great to start new my lifestyle! Before I learned I had a breast cancer, in year of 2015. was a runner and athletic such as many 5k, 10k, four half marathons, triathlon and trail runs. Two races that were run kayak and bike. After I went through the surgery and treatments that hit me hard and struggling with a few time illness. After few years struggling and found this place to started Jan 2024 along with coaches and change diet foods that changed a lot for me this year. Thank you for all great support and continue support from you all. I attend three times a week average since Jan of this year and lose more than 40lbs

There is something truly special about this gym, and it starts with Coach Jen. No matter what kind of morning I am having or what health challenges I may be facing, she is always right there with a smile, motivation, and the kind of energy that gets me going.

She does not just lead us through workouts, she uplifts us. She makes everyone feel seen, capable, and stronger, not just physically but mentally and emotionally too.

The impact she has had on my life reaches far beyond the gym floor. She has helped me build confidence, consistency, and a mindset that I carry into every part of my day. This place is not just about fitness. It is about community, support, and becoming the best version of yourself inside and out.

And I have to mention the coach who runs the coffee shop, Coach Kahyla. She is always there with helpful guidance about nutrition and wellness. Whether it is a quick suggestion, encouragement to make healthier choices, or just someone to check in with about your goals, she plays such an important role in keeping us on track.

The jiu-jitsu program offered next door with Coach Ron has also been an amazing addition. It is a powerful outlet that builds discipline, confidence, and mental toughness. It pushes you in a different way and complements everything we do in the gym. The physical and emotional benefits carry over into everyday life and add even more depth to this incredible community.

This gym has become a part of my life in the best way possible. I am so thankful to be a part of it.

The coaches are encouraging and great at modifying the workouts to fit any body style or age needs but also motivate you to improve to the next level. I can’t recommend Tried and True enough! I’ll admit, I was hesitant to join a CrossFit gym at first because of all the misinformation out there, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I’m getting in shape for my wedding this fall and get back into cardio shape ahead of trail running season, and more importantly, I just wanted to feel better about myself. I’m so glad I took that leap.

Jenn is an incredible coach. She genuinely cares about each and every gym member. She takes the time to learn about your individual needs and always offers modifications based on your limitations, which made me feel comfortable and supported from day one. Beyond the workouts, she has a real interest in who we are as people, which creates such a welcoming, family-like atmosphere.

This isn’t just a gym – it’s a community, and I’m truly thankful I stumbled upon it. If you’re on the fence like I was, I encourage you to give it a try. It could change your life in more ways than one!

I joined Tried and True at the end of August 2023. Starting cross fit was intimidating to say the least but the coaches and members of this gym make you feel so welcomed from the first moment you walk in the door. I put in a lot of work the first couple months but realized I was missing something. That missing piece that is incredibly important was how to fuel my body properly. So I spoke with Kahyla about the nutrition program she runs. It is unlike anything I've done before nutrition wise but is so detailed to you personally. The amount of work that Kahyla puts into her clients every week is amazing. Her passion for nutrition shines through, this isn't just a job for her and it shows. As I started fueling my body better, combining nutrition and cross fit is where I started to see my hard work pay off. Everyone can do what we do at Tried and True, there is modifications to every work out and the win that comes along with it when your body no longer needs that modification is an indescribable feeling. I have not had a single regret with putting my trust into these coaches to help me reach my goals. If you're looking for a gym that is more than a place to work out, somewhere that truly invests as much into you as you do, this is the place for you!

I absolutely love the Tried and True community! It has truly been a place where I’ve found lifelong friends who will help me push beyond my self-doubting limits to do things I never imagined I would do. Every time I go to a class…I know I will be equally challenged and supported - there’s no way I would do most of the movements in the workout on my own, but the guidance and camaraderie at Tried and True are key. A bonus - Coach Kayhla’s Roast & Refuel Coffee in the same building. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the end of a good workout than delicious coffee and many nutrition-minded goodies. :D

After months/years of chiropractors, massage therapists, gyms, medication, etc I decided to try Tried and True/Crossfit in Muncy. Since going, I have reduced my chiropractor visits from 2-4x a month to once ever 2-3 months. No longer needing pain medication daily for ongoing issues. I've been to other places, but I know I don't push myself like I need to (nor do i know proper techniques) . The coaches here support, cheer, and push you to be your best. Every day that may vary, but they provide modifications as needed (and.. I usually need them!!). You move at your pace with a class coach who knows you. This isn't tire flipping or someone screaming at you "go go go!!" but actual coaching so you do the movements correctly, and you do your best while remaining safe. After these past few months, I'd recommend Tried and True in Muncy PA to anyone. It is well worth it!! And it isn't just the coaches that are amazing... it is the people there. Everyone has fun, supports you, and it is just a good time. Almost forget I'm working out (almost.... ) I'd recommend this for any age or physical status.
(plus, you can get a delicious coffee at Roast and Refuel when done!!!)

I love this gym. I walked in knowing absolutely nothing about fitness/nutrition but knowing I needed a change in my life. The trainers worked with me to modify workouts to my ability. I feel like I could talk on and on about tried and true. I signed up for Tried and True after I saw an add for body transformation. I was skeptical but after meeting Ron and Jen I knew it was the place for me. We jumped right in with Kayla the nutrition coach. Tracking food, measurements, check ins, and so much more. I met with one of the coaches Jen for 1:1 sessions to learn fundamentals. They really took into account where I was at in that moment. Fast forward to almost 6 weeks in and I know I’ve found my home. Down almost 25 pounds. Feeling stronger then I ever have! It was everything I never knew I was looking for. It’s community! It’s family! It’s encouragement! Every week I get stronger and stronger building a better, stronger me. I have tried and true to thank! I would strongly encourage anyone to try them!! You will not regret it!

After joining in middle of October, My son and I look forward to coming every week. Making new friends along the way. Doing the different workouts every week definitely keeps stuff interesting and fresh for the both of us. It has been a blessing in disguise for us. Coming to CrossFit just adds another layer of something fun my son and I to do every week. If you hesitant to join don’t be, take the chance full throttle and take a leap of faith. You won’t be disappointed. The instructors that we have worked with have been absolutely amazing, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing a certain move they will modify it til you feel comfortable and then you will work your way up to the actual move!

I have joined Tried and True CrossFit over a year and a half ago. My journey so far has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the positive energy and sense of community that defines this gym.
The coaches at Tried and True are exceptional. They take the time to understand your fitness goals and work with you to tailor workouts to suit your individual needs to ensure you're comfortable and confident in every workout.
I joined Tried and True CrossFit to become more fit and shed some extra pounds (so far I lost 30lbs). Their well-rounded program has helped me improve my strength, endurance, and overall fitness. The variety of workouts is fantastic! Every day is different, which keeps things exciting and challenging. The workout routines are designed to push you to your limits, and I've seen incredible progress in my fitness level since joining. Coaches can modify routines to fit your skill and fitness level and you will still get a full workout out of it. Safety is a priority here, and the coaches are always vigilant to ensure proper form and technique.
The fellow members are supportive and welcoming no matter your skill level. We push each other to excel and celebrate each other's achievements.

For me personally when trying to focus on myself and staying fit was remaining committed and showing up consistently given busy schedules, other responsibilities, motivation on those days you are just not “feeling it”, and knowing what I should be doing/not doing in the weight room to achieve my goals. That is why I had failed for years to find a fitness routine that worked for me and I enjoyed doing. In the past year since joining Tried and True I have been more focused on my health, consistently showing up, having fun and seeing those positive results I had been missing for years. Why the difference? It’s simple. First, the knowledge, investment in your progress, knowing when to push you, constant energy and the overall positive environment the coaches create each and every class make it easy to want to be there day in and day out. Secondly is the programming created that focuses on different muscle groups, cardiovascular health, and modifications that allow you to build in areas that you may not be as strong. I can without a doubt say I will be entering my 40s healthier than I exited my 30s and I look forward to another year of personal growth with everyone at Tried and True.

I never imagined myself getting into crossfit - it always sounded too intense and intimidating for me until I found this gym. Tried and True proved to me that anyone who can show up at the door can improve their health and fitness. Workouts focus on improving yourself, and are always adjustable to meet you where you are at your fitness level - it's about self improvement and not besting the guy next to you. They offer extra activities/challenges as well as nutrition coaching, which has all helped me drop 60+lbs since joining. I didn't realize how much quality of life I was losing out on until this place helped me get it back.

Tried and True, Montoursville is a great place to workout both body and mind. I have been a member for over a year. Although it is a class environment, I feel like I get one on one coaching, with an emphasis on safety. I have built friendships with other members that act as a strong support system to achieve my goals. The staff seems to truly care about their members. They jump on the chance to celebrate with you or offer words of encouragement on a bad day. I am a larger man. I feel more comfortable working out at T&T than other public gyms, because there is a sense of community and a culture anchored by positivity.

TRIED & TRUE, is a place a can call home during my journey in training in Brazilian jiu jitsu. The schedule works very well for me since I work second shift. Since day one, I have been building friendships and a dedication of a new family in the community. Ron is very motivated and focused and will help anyone reacha and obtain their goals. Dove head first into the BJJ classes a few months ago with some apprehensions prior to my first class. From Day 1, Ron (and everyone else in the class) was super inviting and attentive to my level of knowledge (or lack there of). Fast forward several months, and I actively look forward to classes each week. Not only is there support on the mat, but in the day to day community that Ron has built within his BJJ classes. Coaches are excellent and give great tips on form, modifications so everyone can participate, and members are so encouraging. My experience dropping into Tried & True’s CrossFit class was fantastic. As I walked into the gym, I was instantly greeted by the owner, Ron White. I felt extremely welcomed by the members, making it feel as if I had been part of their community for a while. The facility was extremely well kept, clean, and each spot was set up in advance for the daily workout with all the equipment necessary. I dropped into the noon class and felt extremely comfortable working out in my designated space.

The class was coached with great enthusiasm and thoroughness. To start, we were coached through a dynamic warmup, focusing on engaging the muscles that would be used throughout the workout. The warm up lasted for around 10-15 minutes. After the warmup, we walked through the workout of the day. This is when I noticed a difference between Tried and True’s class from other classes I've dropped into in the past at various gyms.

The time was taken to explain each movement in the workout in great detail and each member was watched while performing the movements. I was thoroughly impressed with how much attention was given to each member. They were made to feel comfortable with each movement and to be sure they didn’t have any nagging pains or injuries that would prevent them from performing the workout correctly. I was even corrected on a fault in my thruster. Throughout the workout the coach was extremely vocal, motivating the class to keep pushing and providing timely updates.

After the workout, the class was led through a cool down and stretch, targeting the muscles heavily used during the WOD.

My overall experience at Tried and True was awesome. I was extremely impressed with coaching, passion, and intensity during the class. Tried and True is one of the best gyms in Pennsylvania. I highly recommend taking his class if you are in the area!

I have been at Tried & True for about 3 months now. I have never felt better. I have lost 18 pounds and gained so much strength. The coaches here are amazing. Ron and Stacey care about each and every one of us at the box. They are always there to keep you going and motivate you. Always cheering you on and helping you.
