I coach a club volleyball team from upstate NY and we were in town this weekend for the NEQ volleyball tournament. I reached out to Tula to inquire about a possible private class for a team bonding activity, and they set us up with the most wonderful experience! From start to finish, we had a fantastic time! They were extremely flexible for times, answered a ton of questions, and put together a yin yoga practice that would benefit sore athletes - and even hand-picked an instructor, Bailey, who was the perfect fit for my team! Two of my girls got stuck in traffic on their way to the studio and were late, but Bailey didn’t even blink and even set up their mats and props for them. The entire team, coaches included, were incredibly relaxed afterwards and a couple even fell asleep in shavasana! Bailey hit every modification for every pose so that my less-flexible athletes (and us old coaches) could successfully and *safely* enjoy the practice. I really hope that we can book this tournament annually, and make it a tradition for the future!
Icing on the cake was supporting a small, female-owned and operated business ✨❤️
Seriously, go book your class now!

Had a private restorative yoga class today and it was awesome. As someone fairly (completely) new to yoga, the thought of this was daunting to say the least. Carly worked with me and was very professional - highly recommended and I'll be back for sure.

Tula yoga has been providing Yoga classes for students ages 1-5 at my local preschool. The teachers are professional and loving. They make the classes exciting for the children. Their studio is located in the heart of Northern Liberties. It is beautiful and clean. They offer unique classes and even have drop-off special events for children to attend while parents have a night out. We love this place!

Tula is my go to Yoga spot! The instruction is top notch, with great flows and sequences and usually something more unique and customized per class. Tula’s atmosphere makes it easy to feel comfortable and talk to fellow yogis. Love their personality and teaching style!

Wonderful studio. I had to temporarily move to the NoLib neighborhood and was very excited to find this studio since I am too far from my normal studio for my weekday practice. Perfect mix of mindfulness, wellness, meditation & exercise.

I absolutely love this community. If you're looking for a spot to try yoga or looking to get back into practice, DEFINITELY try Tula. Carly and Jenn, the owners, are so welcoming. The classes fit every level yogi and are always so much fun. They have everything from outdoor classes to virtual to in studio so I always feel like there's a safe option. If you live in Northern Liberties or close by, come to class this week!

Tula Yoga is an amazing yoga studio. The owners, Jenn and Carly, are the nicest people and have created a warm, friendly, community oriented business. I have loved every yoga teacher I have practiced with there. I have been a member since they opened a year ago and continue to be a member even though I now live in Florida. The virtual classes have kept me sane during COVID and connected to Northern Liberties. I highly recommend this studio.

I love this local yoga studio! I was struggling with my yoga practice after moving to the neighborhood and I have found a warm and comforting place with Tula Yoga. They offer an extensive amount of classes, my favorite are the Strength and Flow class and the restorative class. They've also adapted really well to the changing times, personalizing experiences for my husband and I. What a wonderful studio!

Tula is just the best! As someone who has sometimes found it tough to connect with the right yoga teacher, I have been blown away by the teachers at Tula. They are engaged, compassionate, and genuinely invested in helping you progress in your practice. I've also been impressed with their ability to make the virtual classes feel personal and friendly. Love them!

I recently moved to Philadelphia and was looking for a yoga studio and welcoming community. I am also in recovery from an acl and meniscus tear and underwent three surgeries in the last year. I am so grateful to have found Tula. The teachers are loving and supportive and have been so helpful in finding comfortable and safe ways for me to modify when poses get a little tricky with my knee limitations. I have taken classes both virtually and at their outdoor heated space. Both have been a wonderful experience and I plan on continuing with the studio for many years to come. Namaste 🙏🏻

So thankful that Tula has opened in the neighborhood. All of the teachers I have taken class with have been incredible. They are professional, welcoming, and caring. They make sure to ask about any issues or physical limitations I may be experiencing and go out of their way to provide alternative poses or "pit stops" along the way. I always feel challenged while also feeling supported, which is a wonderful balance I look for in a yoga practice. The studio is spacious and everything is kept very clean. I love that they have air filters and sanitation stations throughout. They also have nice changing rooms and a relaxing lounge area to wait in between classes. I highly recommend Tula and I hope to see you there! :)

I was particularly impressed by the variety of instructors, and “something-for-everyone” approach to the classes! I’ve taken classes with at least 3 different instructors who all have their own unique style and approach. This variety has given me a broader perspective about yoga and it’s benefits, both physical and mental. And while I’ve been able to challenge myself and learn in every class, I haven’t (yet!) felt that any particular class was too specific or advanced for me.

If you are like me and had a hard time finding a studio where you felt connected and comfortable, Tula is the place to be! I went to several studios in Philly and never felt comfortable or connected. I attended their Mala workshop which I highly recommend when they have them again and was welcome with open arms. The owners, Carly and Jenn are beyond nice and truly interested in making you feel connected! They have created a beautiful space to practice but more important created a wonderful community for everyone and I am so thankful I have found them.

Tula is an amazing studio - in person and virtually. I took my first course there in March '20 for an acupuncture & yoga class which was incredible - a great blend of the 2 practices, informative instructors, and cool to see how they work with professionals who complement and align with their values. After covid hit, I continued to take classes virtually with Jenn, Carly, and their prenatal instructor. The virtual experience was seamless and brought that zen experience home during such a crazy year - so thankful to Tula for that!

Tula is a beautiful new studio in Northern Liberties opened by 2 former Maha Yoga teachers.

The space is beautiful and has room for socializing, which makes sense because they are doing cool things like beer tastings after class. There is a bathroom (no shower) and a small changing room, as well as cubbies for your stuff. They also have lots of great workshops coming up like inversions and acupuncture. There's even a little hot water heater and tea to help yourself!

The strength and flow class was really great but we were pretty surprised when in the middle of class it basically turned into a HIIT workout- 3 reps of ab exercises, lunges, squat jumps, resistance bands, etc (we should have read the description better). Looking back I'm not sure I would have signed up for that type of class if I knew that was the full extent of it, but it was the perfect amount of strength workout (about 20 minutes) sandwiched into a regular practice, and Missy Elliot and Lizzo helped too. We were really glad we did it and ended up really liking it. They also have family yoga classes, basics, and restorative. The Saturday afternoon class was not too crowded which is such a nice change from some of the places in center city with an inch between mats and people sweating on you.

Drop in is $16 and I don't think they're on Classpass but they do have a new member special for a $40 unlimited month (usually $138). Looking forward to coming back!
