I HIGHLY recommend Neil at Vajra Body Fitness for the best personal trainer that you can possibly find. To be honest, It is really tough into words how much it’s meant to me working with Neil over the past year. Not only has my body and mental health/strength greatly improved but also Neil is an absolute pleasure to work with. Each personal training session is fully customized to fit my needs and goals - I feel super comfortable each session here. From Day 1, you will see that Neil is 100% committed to helping you achieve your goals. It is the highlight of my week training with Neil. Thank you so much for all you have done for me in my life!

After having my first baby, I needed help incorporating fitness back into my routine. My goal was not to just get back in shape, but to create and maintain a healthy way of living as a new mom. After I spoke with Neil during our initial consultation, I knew I was in good hands. He understood my situation and was excited to build a custom routine that best worked with my lifestyle.

Neil is very knowledgeable across a wide-variety of fitness programs and makes sure you understand how and why you are doing each movement. I'm constantly asking questions and learning along the way, which is an added bonus. I can't thank Neil enough for continuing to keep me accountable toward my fitness goals. His passion for fitness and health is contagious!

I’m excited for you to train with Neil. As a psychotherapist, I know that not all professionals offer the same knowledge, care, professionalism or insight. As a physical trainer, Neil offers all of that in abundance. He has helped me strengthen, mobilize and also learn about my body in a profound way that has changed my life over almost 20 years! Neil brings great knowledge and care to every session. His passion for humans is unmatched. He’s also a great hang. Do your body and being a favor and train with Neil !

Thrilled to be working with Vajra Body Fitness. I’m astounded at how much change I’ve made in such a short time. Also hard to admit for someone who never liked working out, but it’s actually fun. Highly recommend.

This is physical/mental goal oriented training. I have found nothing else like it. Prepare for long lasting results. He has virtual classes but I attend in person at his private space in Phoenixville, PA

If you are looking for a great training in person or virtual, don’t look any further!

I found Neil through a friend who also works out with him virtually, as well as her mom. I was getting married and needed a kick in the butt to get my body where I wanted it to be for the wedding.

My friend looked amazing and I felt like it was a great option for me, since we my life was all over the place - moving states, changing jobs, planning a wedding.

Honestly, Neil is amazing. I have a really bad back ( herniated discs) and he was so conscious of that even through zoom! He could see slight movements and tell me how to fix them.

I felt so strong and lean for my wedding. I have continued working out with Neil and we are working towards new goals.
He is one of the best investments in my life and body I have made.

For anyone who is a beginner with exercise like me, I cannot recommend Neil enough especially if you are looking for a virtual trainer. I've been working with Neil remotely for almost two years now and I could not be happier with the comprehensive changes I have felt throughout my body and mind. I came to him with extremely low strength and energy along with daily neck and jaw pain due to TMJ. Now I am very confident in my physical ability, my energy levels rapidly improved, and all of my pain is gone. A welcomed and unintended side effect of working with Neil was my anxiety also reduced greatly due to the tactics and breathing exercises I've learned during our sessions. Neil tailor makes all his programs depending on your body. My husband who is also a client of his has a completely different exercise routine than me. He also has a great way of showing you what your body is capable of instead of forcing a cookie cutter exercise regimen on you which I have experienced in the past. The best part is that all of the training can be done remotely (though he does have a full gym in Phoenixville if you prefer) and each month he sends you a new personalized workout routine that you can do on your own in between sessions with him. I don't think you could find a more talented trainer.

Cannot recommend Neil highly enough. His ability to tailor programs to each individual client’s needs and goals and his understanding of the psychology of movement is unparalleled in my experience. For truly holistic training, he is the person to work with.

Five stars is not nearly enough appreciation for Neil. He is educated well beyond his certifications, and his knowledge about the body (and not just the physical body) supersedes that of most every other health & wellness practitioner I've worked with. Neil has changed the entire way I approach my physical (and to a large degree my mental) wellbeing. This has resulted in me being holistically stronger than ever before in my life. Neil is genuinely committed to my success, but also 100% mindful and aware of making expert decisions about my program that will keep my body safe from injury. Neil will have to quit or retire before I will stop working with him!

I have known Neil for 20 years. He is one of the most dedicated individuals to the practice of physical and emotional strength you will find. For as long as I have known him he has focussed his life to the pursuit of figuring out how to incorporate mindfulness with physical strength. This pursuit has brought him to an approach that is bullet proof and battle tested. It is guaranteed to push you to your edge physically and mentally. This juxtaposition of those two philosophies (mindfulness practice with weight training) is what makes Neil so special. No matter where you are at in either of those journeys Neil will meet you where you are with a kind heart and loving attitude. He has a unique way of leaving his ego at the door in order to focus each one of his workouts towards your personal needs and goals. This philosophy of building strength physically while also training the mind is what sets him apart. He is not a cookie cutter trainer in that all you will do is lift weights and do cardio. Neil has a unique way of exposing and targeting weaknesses so that it can push you to your edge and allow the mental space to move forward with awareness and compassion. I have never been stronger in my life (mentally, physically, and emotionally) and I owe it all to Neil. If you are in search of a trainer that doesn’t just focus on improving your physical gains but actually builds true strength, then Neil is 100% your guy.

It's impossible to overstate how much my work with Neil means to me, in addition to the postive changes our work has meant to my body. A friend referred me to Neil saying Neil could fix a lot of the imbalances and problems I was dealing with after spending more time riding bikes than picking up weights or stretching. The results speak for themselves, I'm stronger and in less pain than I ever was. But more than that, Neil's guidance, care, and endless motivation and positivity have completely reshaped how I think about myself, my body, and where the two intersect. We've been at it for a few years now (trust the process) and I feel better in my skin than I have since I was a toddler or some tiny flexible youngster like that.

In addition to helping me get in the best shape of my adult life, giving me much needed energy as a father of a toddler, and helping me feel younger due to a dramatic increase in abilities and range of motion, Neil has helped me train to learn skateboarding at the age of 36! And I’ve gotten pretty good in my first 2 years. This involved helping me recover from many slams (ouch) and strengthening muscles so they don’t get injured when I slam. He did this all via zoom. How does he manage to do all that over zoom? I can barely remember how to find the raise my hand button or change my name. The man is a master.

Neil is world-class. I shopped around for trainers thinking I'd choose someone local to me who I could see in-person. But Neil was above and beyond better than all other options. He's excellent at listening to my exercise goals, but he is also sensitive, kind, and fun to work out with. Exercise made me extremely anxious and he has been so good at challenging me without pushing me too hard. I feel stronger than ever and supported in learning to exercise on my own. While I imagine Neil is able to work with people whatever their goals may be, I especially recommend him to anyone who has a fraught relationship with exercise. I just can't imagine anyone better for the job.

Hands down the best trainer I’ve ever had. Neil’s personalization and attention to detail are incredible. I have been training with Neil through multiple stages of my life (pre- wedding —> post baby and everything in between) and my body, training needs, and injuries have certainly changed/evolved - Neil has always been able to customize a program specifically for me- pretty much instantly and even over zoom. On a personal level just an awesome guy with such an easy and encouraging personality. Would recommend Neil over and over ANYONE. Thanks buddy- I always look forward to our sessions for a great workout and good conversation.

Neil is the best! He came highly recommended by a close friend of mine, and from the very first workout, I understood why. He customized his approach completely to suit my needs and helped tone and strengthen me to an entirely new level. I’ve been working with Neil for the last 4+ months and intend to continue for a long time. I cannot recommend Neil enough!

I have and will continue to recommend Neil to all of my closest friends and family, pretty much all the people I care about since he has moved to Philadelphia. He has helped transform my mind and body through his passion and immense skill at personal training. I came to him overweight, in pain (Several Major Herniated Lumbar Disks) and apathetic to exercises. A few months later, I am pain free, lost a bunch of the weight, and feeling better than I have in years. I actually really look forward to our workouts and love doing his exercises/stretching daily. His work outs are specifically tailored to your body and how your muscles are interconnected. No body is the same and he knows that there is no one quick fix universal program. He could tell my muscle tightness and problem areas after our first consult. Neil is caring, extremely intelligent and knowledgeable, passionate, and motivates you to work hard, safely. Here’s the deal, if you are going to work out with a personal trainer you could spend your free time and hard earned money going with someone else but at the end of the day that’s a waste of both your time and money. The best thing you could do is train with Neil and in a few sessions, you will understand what I am saying. HE IS…… SIMPLY THE BEST.

I have been seeing Neil for a few months and the progress has been amazing. Not only am I in better shape, but he’s also worked on sports injuries by helping me strengthen connected muscles. Neil’s a cool, easygoing, super-knowledgeable guy who custom-tailored a workout plan for me. And between sessions, he quickly responds to my emails when I have questions. I’ve already recommended him to several friends and athletes. I feel better and now have a new outlook on fitness.

I had a couple of injures from exercising and from work so I came to Neil. He created a plan for me to relief the pain and to strengthen some particular mussels, it was a huge help and really worked! I am a photographer and once I had so intense neck pain that I couldnt keep working, Neil did a 10 min circle with me and it was such a relief and literally saved me.
I would highly recommend Neil to anybody who wants a different, thoughtful approach to exercise, who wants to be challenged but also to enjoy the process.

Neil has been an integral part of my journey for close to 6 years. Whether physical, spiritual, emotional, he helps me stay present, and provides the perfect scenario for success. There are many aspects I attribute to Neil, as not just my coach, but my mentor. My “guiding light,” whom always brings me back to a more realistic approach. Neil’s professionalism, extensive knowledge and enthusiastic commitment to his work, ultimately set me up for success!

I began personal training with Neil following a back injury back in 2013, that put me out of commission for about a year. Following this injury Neil & I reintroduced athletics and training back into my life. In fact, Neil contacted my Physical Therapist from HSS, and together they formed a plan. I don’t think I would be where I am today on my journey w/o Neil’s reminders & his belief in me, and my potential for greatness.

He makes each and every workout challenging, creative and fun. But not only does he create an amazing physical environment, his spirit is undeniable. He motivates me to push past my perceived limits to get results, and helps me continuously set foundations for a healthy lifestyle.

Neil really gets it- he is a wonderful trainer, but can also connect to the mental aspect body work. He is a very positive person, but can also relate when it's not possible to give 100%- I always feel better when I leave a session with him. Working with him over the last four years is one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I'm proud of the progress that he and I have been able to make together in my health and approach to exercise. It has been a pleasure, and I would recommend Neil to anyone.

I have been training with Neil Roberts for over 7 years both individually and in semi-private sessions. I initially began working with him to help me address a chronic back injury. Not only do I no longer suffer from back pain but Neil has guided me through a life changing transformation both in body and mind with his expertise, careful instruction and encouragement. Working with Neil has helped me to develop strength and endurance beyond my expectations as well as a change in my balance, movement and overall fitness level. Our workouts are always challenging, inspiring and fun and he continually pushes me to reach, surpass and set new goals both physically and mentally.

Neil cares about his clients and takes great pride in his work. I would without a doubt highly recommend Neil to anyone who is looking for a personable, knowledgeable and well-rounded personal trainer.
