Yoga Factory is your place! I’ve been practicing for over a year and a half and really feel that Yoga factory has increased, my flexibility, strength and the ability to preform better other activities! I love all the instructors and appreciate their hard work and dedication to all things yoga!

I haven’t done hot yoga in a long time and found the Yoga Factory on Google! The class was amazing and didn’t disappoint in anyway. I will definitely be back. It was so good. My class was with Steven C. Definitely a five star instructor.

This is one of my favorite hot yoga studios in the US. Amazing teachers, beautiful yoga room, perfect humidity and heat in the sun room(Lawrenceville), clean and spacious locker rooms with showers, and the best part, they offer multiple 90 minute 26&2(Bikram) classes. I actually drive over an hour to get to Yoga Factory Pittsburgh, from Indiana and/or Somerset counties. I’ve been practicing 26&2(Bikram) since 1997, and have been to numerous hot yoga studios, in numerous states, and on three different continents. The Lawrenceville location is truly a special place.

The Yoga Factory both the Lawrenceville location and the Squirrel Hill location leave little room for criticism.
The Saturday 11AM Yin class and the Sunday 4:30 PM Yin class I "tucked into" were both sensational.
OM my! Thank you.

Every staff member I have met have been the most friendly. The classes and instruction I have received have been top notch. Yoga is not easy. But they always encourage you and definitely do not judge. I would absolutely recommend it for everyone.

I enjoy the warm welcome I always receive upon entering the facility. Those in charge take the time to learn names and, unobtrusively, watch everyone's progress. Classes are rigorous, truly not for the faint of heart, but I believe they can make a big improvement in the bodies, minds, and spirits of those students who apply themselves and attend regularly. I expected to be challenged and to work hard to find form, and those things are happening.

The yoga instructors are very friendly and most importantly knowledgeable, so you will always learn something new from them -- whether or not you're a newbie or a 10 year practitioner.

*Edited Review*

Here is the ClassPass description: Traditional Hot Yoga. Concentrating on breath and stillness, this series incorporates 26 traditional yoga postures and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 105 degrees. Often referred to as the 26 and 2, this class focuses the mind and opens the body. Beginner Friendly! While Hot Yoga is challenging, it is accessible to all ages and all ability levels. The heat in the room helps the body access postures while relieving stress and pain from the body.

So actually, no--nothing is "very thoroughly explained." The snappiness and short-temperedness you see in the owner's response is the exact vibe of the class. To say I am disappointed in this studio is an understatement. Also, I do hot yoga at Yoga Flow in Shadyside regularly, so I do not have a "personal problem" with this style but rather a personal problem with this studio's management! One star!

Original Review (Two Stars):

This class was very misleading if you do not know what Bikram yoga is or who Bikram Choudhury is (the founder of Bikram yoga who was known for his abrasive teaching style). This class was advertised as beginner friendly and it simply was not. The instructor did not stand in front of the class demonstrating the poses, but instead stood behind us on a podium and gave verbal commands throughout the class. If it were not for a seasoned student in front of me, I would have had no idea what to do. I also found the instructor to be condescending, telling us to "use our listening ears" and pointing out every person's flaw/using their name. It was impossible to take a break and breathe without being called out. I felt like I was discouraged to listen to my body and stop if needed. Overall, I did not enjoy my experience and will not be returning. However, if you enjoy the abrasive teaching style that Bikram is known for, then definitely give this a try.

The yoga factory provides the yoga experience I have been searching for. It is both serious and fullfilling. Each instructor is professional and dedicated to thier practice. I greatly appreciate that the class schedule states if there will be music. I do not like music while I practice. Because the yoga factory informs me of which classes will be playing music, i know which classes to avoid. Additionally the amenities are clean and well maintained. I am so happy to have found the yoga factory!

I went here yesterday for a hot yoga session led by instructor Kyle. I usually never do yoga but have a few times before in the past so I knew what to expect. Overall the facility is super clean, Kyle was super helpful and welcoming, and although the class was challenging I didn’t feel like I wasn’t able to go at my own pace. Throughout the class Kyle also gave pointers and words of encouragement to the students. I would definitely go back again and suggest this place to others if you’re looking for an intimate and clean space to practice yoga.

Used to love the place prior to the recent management change…

Some of the instructors act in a very patronizing manner. It is very stressful to be in the same room trying to practice while another student is being treated publicly in a demeaning way… not the kind of yoga I like…

I would appreciate if instructors welcome different variations, give more freedom to every individual and everyday different feeling of our bodies, rather than being a “teacher”. I get it that it’s their teaching style, but I just feel my nerves are a bit tight, always afraid of being pointed out if I don’t want to do something. In general I’m not relaxing enough in this yoga studio.

I'm more of a yoga nomad, but the teachers and management here are phenomenally good. Classes can be a bit extreme, but they sell bottled water incase you forget a water bottle. Teachers here are very dedicated and strong. It's an inspiring place to do Yoga.. Just remember to smile sometimes. :)

Never thought to do yoga in my life, but because of a knee injury and depression, I started to consider it.
I feel lucky that my first yoga experience was with I am Yoga. The place is warm and judgment-free. The yoga instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind.
Don't take my word about it , you can go and try by yourself.

All people are amiable. You must know that there is no door or window open and steam is blown into the room. It is always crowded and because of the heat people sweat heavily while doing yoga. There are two drawbacks to that. You are breathing sweat air and the carpeted floor is sweat-paved. Yes, they have carpet on the floor!

Nice locker room and showers, good heat distribution in the studio, nice surface, good instructors. All good things from this customer. Pretty quiet place compared to other studios (no chatter in the hot room); if you've practiced Bikram before at another studio, that's just something to know here.

Bikram Yoga Squirrel Hill is the best yoga studio a person could want. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and supportive. The facilities are clean and inviting. I was a bit anxious in beginning this new type of yoga, being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease four years ago that affects my joints. The instructors have been very accommodating of my illness, teaching me ways to enhance my practice without causing injury to my body. Walking through the door to this studio one month ago has been one of the best things I have done for my health and overall well being since being diagnosed. If I had the money to spare, I would rent a billboard, radio time, and spots on television to sing the praises of this yoga studio. If you want to do something for your mind and body in a completely safe and supportive setting, I highly recommend giving the Bikram studio in Squirrel Hill a go!
