Rude unprofessional business owners and not well taught instructors. I’ve gone to many studios and you can even tell just by their website that they lack expertise in to yoga and business. I won’t be back

So I want to start out saying the space is really cute. It has a nice energy about it. The teachers, however, are REALLY inexperienced. The class descriptions are not even close to accurate. I bought 2 groupons because I just moved into the neighborhood and it was close and cheap. They responded to my first email because the instructor was over 30 minutes late, and honored my first groupon. Then, silence! I ehave emailed them 4 times over the course of 2 months and no one has responded, at all! All their "yoga" classes are barely yoga, more like a gym stretch class. Hope this place hires some decent instructors!

Came here on classpass. No experience with their events, but this place is terrible. Small workout space, and the teachers are inexperienced. Will not go back

Yoga Hive Philly is always coming up with creative events! They really know how to attract a crowd and keep people coming back. We had so much fun at the Unconventional Wellness Festival at the Roxborough YMCA! I can’t wait for the next one.

I just attended the festival this weekend and my friend and i had a great time. Lots of wellness vendors , food and a yoga class with sheep was the best part. I hope they continue to host fun events in the future !

I had a blast at Yoga Hive Philly’s second Unconventional Wellness Festival this past Saturday! The weather was perfect, so many good vendors, an amazing yoga session and I really enjoyed the sound bath hypnosis session. I took my very first yoga class at Yoga Hive Philly and felt so comfortable. I was always a little nervous and intimated about getting started on my yoga journey but after reading the studios mission on encouraging beginners I knew this was the place for me. Thank you, Yoga Hive Philly.

Do not give this place your money!! I bought 3 tickets for the One Year Anniversary event that was cancelled and they REFUSE to give me a refund. I’ve called and emailed. My emails have been ignore and I have been hung up on twice when talking to them on the phone. They claim they are incapable of giving refunds. That simply can’t be true. They could refund money to my credit card, they could send me a check, they would send it through Zelle. I don’t care how they figure it out they owe me over $120. I can not believe the rude and unhelpful customer service that I have experienced with this place. Please do not sign up for their events and do not give them any of your money.

I am unhappy.
I purchased tickets to their "Monkey, Bunny, Lamb" Yoga event, and two things happened:
1. They cancelled the Monkeys
2. They had to reschedule the event due to the heat

I cannot attend the event for the rescheduled date, and they will not give me a refund. That isn't okay. I want a refund.

I have great respect for this facility! They showed true compassion when faced with the option to exploit. Thank you for not using animals in your annual celebration. The methods in which animals are trained to entertain us humans are cruel just like the belief that they are here for our entertainment.

exploiting exotic animals for monetary gains to promote their one year anniversary. if you care at all about endangered species or not promoting the exotic animal trade, do not patronize this business!!

This place exploits animals for its yoga, it's so sad. I wish they just stuck to Yoga! They partner with petting zoos that have been penalized for its inhumane treatment of animals. Such a shame, seems like it'd be a cool studio!

This is a horrible place! The staff are really unprofessional and based on the yoga classes I’m not even sure they are qualified teachers.

Worst yoga place in the world. These instructors are racist feminists and wear their toenails so long they touch the yoga mats. The dirtiest place in town.

Alpaca yoga at 10AM today was nothing short of a DEBACLE. The events that happened were potentially out of the control of the owners, but they way they handled it was even more terrible. Clearly they are in dire need of customer service training. The way they responded to the issue was pathetic. :( I arrived 5 minutes early for my 10AM, 30 minute long, $50 alpaca yoga class. This was originally advertised as "baby" alpaca yoga. I think the name was later changed to just alpaca yoga, but they forgot to change the description in the text of the FB event. No offense to the full grown animals who eventually arrived, but the description should be accurate.

Our class started at 10:12AM, with the disclaimer that the alpacas were running late and were on their way. We begin class. At 10:26AM the alpacas were still not there so I ask if there will be a refund, because I did not pay $50 for a regular yoga class. I pay a monthly unlimited fee at a studio near my house, so why would I come to this one if no alpacas are there? Finally the alpacas arrive - 1 full grown and 1 adolescent. The handler tries to get the first one inside, and basically drags it in the door and across the floor. It looks like it's legs were going to break. Everyone was watching with their jaws hanging open, in horror. I think it was ok, it was just so terrified, that it was frozen. That one then just lies in the corner, huddled on the ground, clearly distressed. Then the handler tries to get the big one, who is 4 years old: Shane, in the door. He won't come in. Clearly he is scared. The woman tries to wrestle him in the door about 3 times, but he is too big for her to lift, so eventually he just stays outside. They try to appease us with baby bunnies, who were cute, but also scared, and that's not what I paid for. The class ends, one scared alpaca is inside for a few minutes, I go outside to pet the scared alpaca outside. Meanwhile, people from the 11AM class keep trying to come inside, looking confused.

1. The owners should have advertised that these were not babies. 2. The owners should have contracted with a reliable alpaca handler who would be on time, or even better, early. 3. They should also contract with a handler who has socialized animals who won't be terrified in yoga situations. Shane clearly wasn't prepared to go into a studio with 12-15 women in there, in the city. 4. The owners never ONCE said anything to the effect of "I'm sorry" or "my apologies" 5. They just sat in the back the whole time, not speaking, and left their poor yoga teacher to field everyone's complaints. 6. They never once got up in the front, unsolicited, to explain the situation or field anyone's complaints, not until confronted by class members. 7. When confronted, the owner with the black hair, was very hostile to the class members and in a mean voice reprimanded us that we should be fine because we were all "invited" to the 1PM alpaca yoga class in the park on June 1st. When asked by a class member what she should do, because she was not available on June 1st, the owner just gave her a dirty look and didn't answer. 8. Later on, the owner said (in a mean voice) that we'd be receiving an email with our "options" for today's class not going the way as planned, but didn't clearly explain any of them, other than the June 1st option. Bottom line: we should have been offered an explanation about what was going on in real time, should have been offered an apology, and a refund. None of us paid $50 for a regular stressful yoga class, rude vibes from the owner, and to watch horrified as alpacas were made to do things against their will. I will go to my "free" class on June 1st, but after that, will never patronize this place again.

Best yoga studio in Philly! Yoga hive tailors its classes to all experience levels so there’s a class for everyone. The studio is very welcoming, peaceful, and clean. I love how creative the owners are and they’re not afraid to think outside of the box with their events. Definitely give Yoga Hive a try, it’s life changing!

As a complete yoga novice the owners Heather and Gina of Yoga Hive were very welcoming. Understanding the yoga industry and the lack of attention new comers get I was more than happy with my first experience.

If you are new to the area, new to yoga, or just looking for a studio where there is “no judgement” Yoga Hive Philly is the place for you.

Not to mention they have a “Broga” class for us guys👍🏻

I recently moved to the Philadelphia area and wanted to try a new yoga studio. After, seeing Yoga Hive Philly, I figured I would try a power yoga studio and I was not disappointed! This yoga studio gives both a workout and the relaxation I look for in a yoga class. You are made to feel at ease there too. I highly recommend this yoga studio.
