Wonderful fitness center! If you're looking for a place to workout in a teamwork atmosphere, then this is the place for you. My fiance and I wanted to really step up in our fitness journey goals, and did a search in fitness centers near us. We didn't choose to go to a corporate chain gym as we weren't to fond about the atmosphere. To my surprise, the first fitness center I chose to look up had a familiar face. Years ago I attended Kerry's classes at Ballys for when he taught the bootcamp classes there. Fast forward to today almost 20 years later and it's like time never passed by. Kerry, and his wonderful trainer crew (Heather, Scott, Robb, Gabe, Roxanne, Romina, and others, along with his awesome front desk staff Evee, Diana, and others are all amazing, very engaging, and always willing to help out. Everyone is focused on their individual goals while working in group settings, or individual settings. We build and bring eachother up each and every time, it's great! To give perspective with their schedule; they offer at different times of the day large group classes, small group classes, 1:1 trainings, coaching sessions necessary prior to taking some classes, open gym sessions you can book to freestyle your own workout as well. It really depends on your needs. They have different memberships that are reasonable in cost. My fiance and I are currently enjoying the Nuts & Bolts, Circuit, Yoga, Boxing, Revitalize & Restore, and Core Corps classes, along with open gym to name a few. Also, they have fun challenges you can sign up for, and events. Additionally, their facility is very clean including the bathrooms and dressing rooms. Everything is nicely organized, including weights and equipment being in their place, and the facility having a great look! Overall, if you're looking for a place to go where you feel like you're talking to family, work on your fitness goals, not feel judged, and be in an atmosphere with all ages, then this is the place for you!

Me and my fiancée have been going to 212 for a few months now and it's been a wonderful experience. I'm used to going to the typical corporate chain gyms which have all the equipment you need, but not the community feel. 212 delivers in that area in a big way. Everyone is very friendly and helpful from the members to the staff, you always know you're going to see a smiling face when you walk throughout the building. Their niche is the small and large classes they offer (many with kettlebells) and that's a big part of why they have such a great community. When everyone is doing the same exercises, you can all relate to one another, support each other, and improve together - even though we're all lifting different weights and have varying goals. I also love the yoga, boxing and revitalize & restore classes that are included with our membership. Additionally, I'll throw in personal workout sessions like I've typically done, though those are less frequent because I'm a fan of the classes and I'm seeing great results. :) Thank you to Kerry for creating this great fitness center for people to better themselves physically and mentally. And a big shout out to the awesome coaches/staff for providing a supportive and friendly environment: Heather, Scott, Rob Roxanne, Gabe, Romina, Evee, and all!

I've been going to 212 for a couple of months and it's honestly one of the most fun, welcoming, and supportive gyms I've ever been to.
As a woman in a larger body, I'm used to being underestimated or shunned when I walk in to a gym. 212 would never!! The trainers see my potential, meet me where I am, and encourage me to go further. There’s no pressure to “fix” anything, no talk of quick results or snake oil supplements - just real, motivating, down-to-earth support.
It’s definitely an investment, but it’s been worth every penny for how it makes me feel - stronger, more confident, and actually excited to show up. I can't recommend it enough!!

Before joining 212, I tried out different gyms but never really enjoyed the experience or committed to living a healthier lifestyle. Actually I never even heard of a "kettlebell" before joining 212. The coaches ensure each member uses proper form and technique during classes. The atmosphere is very different vs other gyms as there is a sense of community and overall desire to cheer on or support fellow members. I had been a member of many gyms before I found 212, and I always convinced myself I liked going but would eventually stop. Then I went to my first class here and I haven’t looked back all these years later. Great place but that doesn't really describe it. The place somehow has the ability to cater to all levels and make you feel like you are the focus at the same time. Not in great shape? They can help. In great shape but want to be better? They can help. Get bored easily? This is the place since after being here a year and a half there I'm still learning new exercises. If you want something different than the usual gym with rows of machines, tv's, and mirrors then this is the place.

Update 7/5: There is something here for everyone, the team helps you focus on your goals and tailors the classes to all levels. Best gym with the best trainers in Providence area. I have gained confidence in and out of the gym since becoming a member at 212. I wasn’t able to even lift a 20 lb dumbbell when I first joined and now I feel stronger than ever. My wife has been on my case that I need to work on my balance and flexibility for the last few years. I’m 74 years old I bike everyday and golf weather permitting. She said Kerry Taylor was the person I need to see as she has known him for 15 plus years. When I met Kerry I explained I need more strength and flexibility to improve my golf game. After three months of two a week workouts not only am I hitting the ball 10 to 20 yards farther I’m feeling mentally and physically better. Kerry is fantastic he pushes me to my limits but never over the top. He has awakened muscles that have been dormant for decades. I can’t say enough on what a wonderful, kind, caring person Kerry is. And I do specially appreciate when I’m all confused on what stretch I’m trying to do how we both laugh and enjoy the moment. I've been coming here for about 3 months now. I started with small group training sessions and started taking the group classes this week. I have trained with almost everyone and enjoyed what each trainer I've worked with brings to the table. It's clear to see why so many members have been there for years. The staff and members are friendly and welcoming and the trainers are real good at modifying when needed and they care about form. I'm really glad I found 212. 212 is a great locally owned business and so much more than a gym. Kerry, Heather, Sean, and the team are awesome and the facility itself has great equipment and is very clean. People have been going there forever (more than a decade) but even when I just started I felt very welcomed and “seen.” Every class or training I am in has people of all fitness levels/experience and ages who I’ve even become friends with. It feels really good to not worry what others think of you or how you’re performing compared to someone else. You’re just going at your own pace but also challenged by the trainers. There are a lot of interesting and informative opportunities outside of the standard trainings, classes, and open gym sessions like soft tissue workshops and several-week “challenges.” 212 really sets a high standard and changed what I expect and want from a gym/health center. Also, the 212 team are really nice and funny!!. If you’re considering it you should definitely go see in person.

I highly recommend this gym! Everyone is friendly and your treated like family there. It’s a lot of fun and also hard work. Whether you’re going to classes daily, meeting with your trainer and even using the open gym everything is already thought out for you. The first time I went I was a little nervous and within minutes I felt super comfortable. There’s always modifications to the work outs if you can’t quite do something or have a past Injury. It’s not just an in an out gym they know you by name they know if you have an injury they know what you’re working towards they’re always sharing information between trainers so if your in a class they are aware and always walking around and helping you. Most importantly if you have a question or don’t know what weight to use they have an answer! They also offer nutrition plans to the extent of if you want them to write you out a plan or where you log what you’re eating and then you meet with Alicia one on one and you talk about where you can make better choices and things like that. I haven’t quite been there a year but I can tell you that I won’t be joining another gym it’s worth every penny

I joined this place after almost 2 years of inactivity, and I absolutely love it. The trainers are great and really know how to take care of individual needs (injuries, pacing, etc), even in a group setting. I never felt self-conscious about coming in so out-of-shape. Everyone on the staff knows your name and makes you feel welcome, real community vibe here. The health & safety protocols are on point and it's easy to stay safely distanced.

The workouts I do here can be challenging but they are FUN. In just 5 weeks I've already learned so many new movements and used equipment they didn't even have at my last gym. It's easy to learn new stuff under the guidance of the 212 team, and I can really feel the progress I've made so far in a pretty short amount of time.

Best of all, I can just show up to the gym and not have to think ahead about what I'm going to do that day. Even if I'm going for an Open Gym session, they will have a routine written out for me so I can just show up and go. Hands down the best fitness investment I've made, worth every dollar.
