Charged monthly fee when closed due to covid, never refunded, then charged for July (first month open). On top of that they have a recording still stating they are closed and will not take questions until all facilities are open then hangs up so they dont have to deal with angry members.

This is a great gym. Pretty cleananf nice staff. The only thing keeping me out for giving 5 starts is they some of their equipments is not the best. Some of the machine are "cheap" (just a few thought).

Terrible terrible gym and of course will make sure to take every possible penny from you when cancelling membership. Thought I paid first and last month at sign up and cancelled in the beginning of January to be charged in February again plus being charged the annual fee in February. Scam!!

This review is mainly for the spin instructors. Monday noon time spin is a must!!! Today was freaking amazing! I believe the teachers name was Maria. (That's what it said on app schedule) she was awesome!!! Pushed me and I needed it!!!

I enjoyed using this gym for almost 2 years. It is well priced, and has decent equipment. It can get a bit crowded but I was always able to complete workouts.
My primary concern relates to their billing practices; when joining, the only thing I attempted to ensure was that there was no strings attached or complications to be anticipated at the time of cancellation. However, it turns out that this process included having to go in person, pay a cancellation fee, took 45 days, and as this 45 days brought us past a calendar year, we paid the annual fee again (thus, 3 annual fees in 2 years). I understand that it costs money to keep a nice gym. However, I expect I am not alone in saying that I would rather pay $50 a month and have it be just that, then be lured by a promotional rate that ends up coming with many additional charges. To be clear, Iβm sure that if I read the fine print in the contract, this was likely spelled out. But seriously, itβs a gym membership. Why canβt it be straightforward?

I used to be a regular Parishioner in this church. The architectural design is awesome, the cantor in the choir has the most angelic voice and the Priests and the buns are so kind and caring.

I go between the nelson center at Brown and Boston sports club and Bsc blows brown out of the water... it's a gym for adults. Everybody's friendly and nice .I've been a member here for 4 years. Can't say enough about the staff.

In life we get what we pay for. This gym is just that. You pay more than you would with other $10 gyms but you get so much here. The facility is alway sparkly clean, state of the art Desighn along with a great location. When ever a machine breaks it is immediately fixed or replaced. Go this gym and immediately after you are finished with your workout you instantly feel like a million buck. Every time I come here I remember that there is no price greater then my health.

Great gym, friendly staff, competitive membership prices. They offer a deal where if you leave your current gym membership is discounted. After suffering through a really bad contract at a terrible gym in Providence (SYNRGY) coming here has been a great relief.

They will rip you off at the end of your 1 year contract, they tell you that they are raising your rates by ten dollars a month 29 days before your contract ends but you need to give 30 days notice to end your contract so if you choose to cancel your contract they will get an extra month charge with the extra 10 on it and that's not counting the $60 annual charge that you will get even if you only use 1 month of the next year that you are forced to pay for

This is a great BSC. I love the machines here and the high ceilings make the whole location feel so much bigger. They have the newer water fountains with the sensors for upright filling (which not all BSCs have), and they have the orange hair conditioner, too. They keep the space dust free and clean. The whole experience feels much more upscale than other BSC locations.

Overall, I thought it was a pretty nice, low-frills gym. Contrary to what pkrwhiz states, the place always seemed clean to me. It would have been nice if there were more step mills and Cybex Arc Trainers, but I usually didn't have a problem with waiting for equipment (aside from the occasional jerk who stayed on the Arc Trainer for 45 minutes while talking on the phone, etc., but these creatures seem to crop up at any gym.) I can't speak to the quality of the trainers or of the classes personally.
After a couple of snafus, I got the impression that there is something of a disconnect between the billing department and the main location. There was actually a bit of a problem when my wife and I tried to cancel our membership upon moving to Chicago, but after a somewhat lengthy call with a customer service representative everything was worked out - actually, BSC went above and beyond what they really needed to do per the precise letter of the contract, so I'm very happy with that outcome.
