Dance Expressions was funded to create a nurturing dance community that encourages self expression and respects the uniqueness of that expression. The studio aims to build confidence, inner and physical strength, technical skill and a sense of team membership in all of our dancers. Every student is guided to reach full potential by dedicating time and energy to learning the art form as a means for self expression. We offer a wide variety of classes to fit the needs of both the recreational and competitive dancers. Our classes are motivating, safe, creative, and energetic!

Dance Expressions has served as a great 'home' for our daughter. It served as a safe and welcoming place during a time of transition, and continues to be a comforting place to belong. All of our girls love Dance Expressions. The studio rooms are big and spacious and the teachers are all amazing and very patient. Shannon does a great job with communicating all upcoming events and deadlines to the parents. Highly recommend!!!

My daughter has been dancing here since Shannon opened in 2013. She just recently graduated and we could not have loved our experience anymore than we did at Dance Expressions. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, kind and determined to make your child better. She was on the competition team for 6 years and it was overall a fun and supportive experience. Also not to mention the choreography here is unmatched in Rhode Island. The girls on the team and the teachers were all amazing and nice. If you want a great studio that is welcoming, gossip free and overall amazing, chose DE!

My daughter loves her acrobatics class with Ms. Nicole. The teacher is warm, attentive and professional. I really love that the kids get one on one attention and they aren't treated like another number. Highly recommend!

Dance Expressions has been perfect for my two daughters! Shannon and staff know how to manage a classroom, and push their students to grow in technique, while also having fun. My daughters love going to dance every week, and I always enjoy watching them dance in the annual recital! I recommend this studio to everyone :)

This will be my 7th year at dance expressions and let me just say it has changed my life. We are trained to not only be good dancers but to be good people. This will be Granddaughter's 5th year dancing with Dance Expressions. We have enjoyed every moment of being part of the DE family we have made so many wonderful friends. Shannon and Dance Expressions literally changed my daughter’s trajectory. Six years ago She started at Dance Expressions after being with another company for six years. She literally needed to be re-trained and learn proper technique. Shannon and her teachers are passionate kind and supportive and it’s a perfect environment for young girls and boys.

Shannon at Dance Expressions is unbelievable!! I've been to 4 different studios, and Dance Expression's is the best. I started coming here my senior year of high school, and I loved the choreography. Shannon and Lauren really pushed us, and I grew a lot that year. Now that I'm away for school, I take the adult classes in the summer and winter. Shannon's studio is the best, and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
