Defying Gravity is an elite dancing school and the owner Nicole is not only talented and skilled herself, but she knows how to apply that to coaching, teaching and getting the most of out her students to help them reach their full potential. She expects a lot of our her students, but she gives everything you could ever ask for in a teacher. Would recommend ten times out of ten.

This is our first year at Defying Gravity. My daughter is a teen and has been dancing at another studio for years. She is on their competition dance team as well as taking classes multiple days a week. We have seen so much improvement in her technique and confidence as a dancer from all that she has learned in the short time we have been here. We weren't sure how welcome she was going to feel once she switched studios so far into her dancing journey. To our great satisfaction, she was welcomed by all the dancers at the studio. It was as if she had been dancing there her whole life. Everyone we have gotten to meet in the Defying Gravity Dance family has been wonderful and gracious. We always feel included by everyone from teachers, directors, fellow dancers and all the families as well. This is a great school to either begin or transfer for anyone looking to jump into the dance world.

This will be my daughter's third year dancing on the competitive team with Defying Gravity. Coming from another studio, Defying Gravity immediately welcomed my daughter with open arms and has taught her a lot. Defying Gravity has been my daughters second home for the past 7 years. She started as a recreation dancer and always had a fun time while receiving the best training. The celebrations and pizza parties and constant new choreography always challenged her and kept her engaged. She eventually decided she wanted to compete. Seeing other studios and competing around New England and hearing judges feedback solidified that Defying Gravity offers the best mix of fun, technique, choreography and opportunity around. My daughter feels loved, valued and like she has an extended family. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Miss Nicole & her entire staff are extremely talented & welcoming. Our oldest started six years ago and we followed the studio from Cranston to EG to stay with them! I cannot say enough how positive our experience is being apart of the DG family. My daughter joined little twirlers last season and absolutely thrived. She loved Miss Jamie and begged to go to class every Saturday! We are rejoining for the 22-23 season! Nicole is wonderful and so personable and really takes time to get to know the families and clearly cares about every single dancer. Also love the location and look/atheistic of the studio overall. Her experienced teachers and choreography are excellent and when you get to the competition level, it really provides our daughter the confidence not only on stage but will benefit her in the future. My name is Samantha i am 12 years old and i have been dancing at Defying Gravity School of Dance for 1 year and had a really good expirence there, i made lots and lots of new friends there, the teachers are fun and kind and they push you for the best results!!!!!!!! I have lots and lots of mermoiers from dance but one of my favorites are when it was Christmiss and Halloween we made (and or created) dance and then we had the parents watch them it was so fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a dark and stormy night, they were the only ones who let me in. They kept me warm and cozy through the night. But, the best part was, THEY GAVE ME FOOD! It was edible, and wonderful! And also, they have dancers. They dance. But a horrific sight struck upon me, a foot! It was not pointed! The horror! But then, the woman kindly corrected the honest but awful mistake. That is what I saw trekking through the darkness at night.
