I absolutely love this gym! Spencer and Maddy have created such a welcoming, motivating environment, and their Lift Club is always a blast. Faith is my personal trainer and she’s incredible — supportive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in my progress. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I first came to Desiata Training 4.5 months postpartum. I was a stay-at-home mom of two young children (also BF my baby), exhausted, touched-out, and just trying to find one hour that felt like mine. I started with Lift Club and immediately became obsessed. It was the only time of day where I didn’t have to think, I just zoned out and moved. Honestly, I was probably quiet for the first five sessions because I desperately needed that silence.

Spencer and Maddy were always there with happy faces, good energy, and a warm welcome every single time.

By April, I was overwhelmed and completely burnt out. I needed something more, so I signed up for personal training to invest in me because I had zero time for myself. (Still don’t, really.) But I made the time anyway.

I trained with Maddy for six months. My goals were simple:
1. Be strong enough to run with my kids in my arms in an emergency.
2. Look good.

Six months later? Mission accomplished. I feel amazing, and yes—I could absolutely sprint with my kids if I had to. Throughout those six months, whenever my back flared up or new pelvic floor and core challenges showed up, Maddy was right there. No judgment, no pressure, just immediate support. She pivoted workouts on the spot and always found a safe, effective way to keep me moving. I trusted her with my body completely.

When getting to the studio got harder, Maddy transitioned to training me in my home gym. She was there from day one and still is. The transformation—physically and mentally—has been huge.

Moms, sign up. Take the time. You need you.
And honestly… if you can buy yourself coffee every day, you can afford this. One way or another, you can make it work and you’ll never regret investing in yourself. You can’t show up for your family when you don’t show up for yourself.

I’ve had such a great experience at Desiata Training with Spencer! My wife and I both signed up for personal training with him. I reached out because I needed to start my fitness journey somewhere and create a routine for myself and Spencer was patient and always provided encouragement throughout the process. I can now say I’m comfortable going to a gym. If you are thinking about signing up don’t even hesitate I promise it will be worth it. Both him and Maddy are great people! I started personal training at Desiata Training back in October, there’s always something incredibly intimidating about entering a gym space feeling like a newbie and overthinking whether you’ll be able to keep up. Maddy and Spencer have created a safe space where you can laugh and smile through your sessions and celebrate every little milestone as a win. They listen to you, validate you, while also pushing you to try and be your best. Even when I had back to back illnesses and desperately needed to move my body after recovery, Maddy designed a plan that made me feel like I was accomplishing my goals without overworking myself which I appreciated! Every session I leave with Maddy makes me feel confident and strong and I know that every time I come back for my next session, I’ll just keep getting stronger. There’s no other space I want to train and I’m happy to travel the distance to work with them! Definitely check them out, you won’t regret it!!!

They opened their own gym this year, and their dedication to one-on-one coaching is truly next level. Spencer, in particular, brings an incredible depth of fitness knowledge and nutrition expertise to every session. What really sets him apart, though, is his sense of humor—it makes training both fun and approachable, no matter if you're new to the gym or a seasoned pro. His ability to balance technical skills with a light-hearted approach makes every workout feel personalized and motivating.

Maddy is equally fantastic, and together, they make an unbeatable team. Plus, their dogs Abe and Daisy are always there to give you that extra motivation, whether it's a pet after the workout or a pep talk before you start. I've been training with Spencer at Desiata Training for over 6 months, and I can't recommend him highly enough. Spencer is a knowledgeable, experienced, and patient trainer who truly cares about helping his clients reach their goals. He carefully programs my workouts to meet my specific needs, always offering the right coaching cues when needed, and pushing me within my limits. He’s also incredibly accommodating, making adjustments to address any pain or injuries I might have.

Since I started working with Spencer, I've seen dramatic improvements in my strength, range of motion, and a significant decrease in soreness and pain. The gym itself is meticulously maintained and well-equipped, meeting all of my needs and providing a great environment to train.

I have been seeing Maddy for one-on-one training for over two months now and the experience has been 5-star!
