Just what I needed to get back on track and start feeling strong and energized again. The personalized 6-Week program allows me to focus on my personal needs and Andrew is so knowledgeable and able to design a program that accounts for injuries/areas that need to be strengthened. Earlier this spring, I suffered a running injury and was convinced I would have to miss out on running races. That’s when I decided to sign up for classes with Andrew to maintain my fitness. From the start, Andrew treated me like an athlete, focusing first on addressing my injury. He provided a tailored set of exercises and stretches, and within just two weeks of consistent practice, my injury had disappeared. I was able not only to resume running but also to continue improving my fitness. As I prepared for my first triathlon in the fall, Andrew worked closely with me to align his training plan with my other workouts, helping me build strength, mobility, and endurance. Thanks to his personalized approach, I was able to complement my triathlon training and achieve my best race results. I am starting my 3rd year training with Andrew and I cannot say enough good things about his personalized training sessions. He develops programs for all ages, lifestyles and goals. I am 70ish and I feel 20 years younger. My flexibility, strength, balance and posture have improved dramatically. After suffering a torn ACL and a broken hip (not from skiing!), I'm excited to try skiing again after 10 years of not! Plus, being new to Barrington, I've met some incredible people and made new friends; I look forward to my group classes. Andrew is such a positive person and has definitely improved my quality of life.

I’ve been strength training with Andrew twice a week for almost a year, and it’s been great - I am stronger, my posture is better, and I’ve been free of injuries. Andrew creates specific workouts for clients and then switches them up every few weeks, so it stays fresh and challenging. I always learn something when I’m there, and he does a particularly good job of recommending stretches and other recovery exercises. Very grateful to have this business in Barrington!

I started going to EBSC about four months ago and have noticed some major changes. I had persistent ankle and hip pain and both are practically gone. Andrew helped identify potential causes and ways to roll and worked around these areas until the pain was gone. I feel so much stronger and flexible. I can't recommend EBSC enough!

I highly recommend EBSC or as most of us know the gym as Andrew’s. My overall strength and flexibility of everyday movements has improved tremendously. I hit the golf ball further having the ability to do a full twist and hit through the ball. Tennis, skiing, walking, bike riding, lifting up kids, groceries & gardening supplies with ease. Andrew is very concerned about how your body is feeling each day and then will work on those areas monitoring the way you are doing each exercise. It is a gym where everyone can improve their strength and flexibility from high school kids to older adults. I strongly recommend you come in to discuss with Andrew how EBSC can work to improve your overall health and wellness.

I was looking for the best way to get the most of what little time I have to work out. A tennis friend recommended Andrew DiOrio of East Bay Strength & Conditioning in Barrington. I started with an assessment where Andrew took the time to understand what areas I wanted to work on. I started conditioning and training with him two times a week. After a few weeks I felt a difference in muscles I clearly hadn’t been using! With that came no more joint pain after two hours of tennis. Andrew started me off using rollers to break up knots in my muscles. I continue that practice daily and it’s made a huge difference in how I feel. I love the added bonus that I keep dropping pounds but it’s happening gradually because I’m changing my lifestyle. I can’t imagine not seeing a professional like Andrew — he is so knowledgable about anatomy and the results of training — he makes it interesting!
Overall, I don’t feel like I’m working very hard at all but when I experience the results I’m so happy I made the call to get started with Andrew and East Bay S&T…

As an older athlete and someone who travels a lot for work, loss of flexibility and pain were a constant in my life. Lower back hurt, leg muscles constantly in pain to a greater or lesser degree. Tough going up and down stairs. Andrew asked questions about my pain, my goals, and the reality of my life commitments. He listened and came up with a plan that has changed my life. I was motivated, but needed guidance. Sure I can watch You Tube fitness vids. But getting flexibility improvements and pain reduction means doing the moves correctly- relief and strength is in the details. Coaching matters. No one I've worked with does the details like Andrew and his team. Introduced me to rolling and what a revelation! Always asking how my body feels, and never pain for gain. It's easy to succeed here, and it really works. I strongly recommend EBSC.

During the transition from just a high school athlete to the collegiate level I knew I needed to step up my training. Looking to get some personal work I did some research and found Andrew at EBSC and I never looked back! We have been going to EBSC for almost a year. Both in our 60’s, we felt unsure what benefits we would achieve. We’ve lost 11 pounds between us, and have improved our strength, flexibility, and agility. Though we exercised every day and still do, the ever-changing, customized strengthening EBSC provides has really added big benefits to our regimen, and to our overall health and wellness. I can highly recommend Andrew DiOrio and the EBSC team who have helped me to get back on the tennis court again after a struggle with lower back pain over an 18 month period. I was suffering from sacroiliac dysfunction and after undergoing Physical Therapy for 9 months, I needed someone who could take me to the next level and back on the tennis court. I found the ideal trainer who was able to transition me from PT to a continued and then accelerated strengthening and conditioning program. He has a very perceptive eye for identifying and then correcting poor biomechanics. He customized the workout for me and worked at a pace that I was comfortable with, gradually stepping up the intensity of the workout. After just 4 months I was able to play tennis again, a goal I thought was much further from my reach, so I was thrilled. He has helped educate me on diet and muscle recovery after work outs. I lost the extra weight that I was carrying in my abdominal area and feel so much healthier and stronger in my core after a very short period of time. I am looking forward to a long term commitment to getting stronger working with Andrew. He has a caring, sensitive way about him and one truly feels nurtured working with him. He has a gift for helping people achieve their goals.
