No distractions, no waiting for equipment. All workouts take place in a private, comfortable atmosphere. Personal trainers help you use equipment safely. Our studio's certified personal trainers educate you on proper techniques to help you achieve maximum results. I've been going to FT Barrington for over 10 years. Ally and her crew have trained me for 7x Pan Mass Challenges, multiple 1/2 marathons, and thrown in a couple of tri's as well ! Great positive energy all the time - and super challenging work outs that they change up constantly. Can't recommend these guys enough!

I've been a member of Fitness Together for about 6 months and I can't imagine working out anywhere else. From the moment I walked through the doors, I felt welcomed and part of a supportive community that feels more like family than just a gym. The team at Fitness Together helps to make you feel comfortable no matter what your fitness level or experience level may be. This is a fun environment with a very friendly team that works well together. The workouts are challenging but they are customized to support any trouble areas you have and the team checks in and makes sure those areas are well supported throughout the workout. The facility is clean and well cared for. They are flexible with scheduling and have enough trainers and availability to suit most people's preferences.

I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of working out. That said, the team at FT has kept me motivated and accountable for many years now - and that is saying a lot! All the trainers I've ever had there have been fantastic and the facility attracts great people. I look forward to seeing my PACK members and the trainers. I have been working with FT for 2 years and moved to virtual at the beginning of Covid 19. FT suggested and sourced a few items for me to use in my new "at home" gym. Our workouts never stopped. I love working out virtually and FT makes it easy. At age 66, I continue to feel stronger and more confident.

The trainers are knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel at home when you walk in the studio. Ally is flexible and able to think quickly on her feet to tailor each session based on what your needs are that particular day. You will get what you need at FT! Whether you are looking for an intense workout or some moves to target an injured area the trainers can help. I have worked with all the trainers during different stages of my fitness journey and they have all been great!

A friend of mine 5 years ago recommended I try working out at FT with Matt as an alternative to the
gym I was using. By far, this was a great recommendation. Matt and his team take the time to understand what it is you want to do and ensure it's part of every workout. For me, FT and the experienced team in place is the place to be. I highly recommend it.

Fitness Together in Barrington is the only gym I will step foot in! The trainers are incredibly kind and professional. I have worked with a few trainers there and they are very easy to work with. They helped me with my weight loss goals and even took time to go over my bad habits and come up with solutions to correct them. Couldn't ask for a better experience!

Given the unprecedented times, Fitness Together is doing everything it can to allow people to continue to maintain their personal health while also maintaining social distancing. As a small workout facility with trainers, they have limited group classes to 2 people to provide for the allowable space, and they have been cleaning the facility in between each client. I applaud this group for trying to make the best of a tough situation by being safe with everyone's health but also providing an outlet to maintain health outside of the home, I highly recommend.

Training for my second marathon, first effort exposed some weakness in my training. I met Matt at Rhode Runners at a Strength for Runners Clinic, and decided to use Fitness Together for cross training/ strength training for the cycle. Immediate positive improvement in my running, dovetailed perfectly into the training cycle. Did a half as a reality check before the taper, and set a PR by almost 6 min over last seasonβs best.
Training plan at Fitness Together was customized for my specific goal, and there was great continuity between trainers Matt, Allison, and Stephen. Injury free through a tough training schedule with big fitness gains.

I've been going to Fitness Together in Barrington for quite a few years now. My trainer Erskine has developed intense, high-return workout programs that are designed specifically for me -- a middle-aged lady who doesn't have a weight problem, but wasn't in the best shape. And I know that I'm now in the best shape of my life!
Erskine thinks about what I need, what weaknesses I have (crappy shoulder), and builds a custom program just for me.The sequence of exercises incorporate Pilates and traditional weight training, with a focus on improving strength in all of those muscles most people don't think about that are critical to core strength, balance, and good muscle tone.
Bottom line: Paying for a great trainer, as you will find at Fitness Together, is a worthwhile investment in yourself. Sounds like a luxury, but without that appointment waiting for you and a motivating trainer, it's very easy to find yourself making excuses not to exercise.

First, the staff are top rate. All are committed professionals who have the credentials and experience missing at other facilities. Because I work with "my" trainer on a consistent basis we are able to build a relationship that helps to motivate me to continue to improve and give my best effort.Second, FT customizes the overall program as well as each individual session based on how I am doing and feeling on that particular day. I am an avid skier and needless to say I have encountered some injuries on the slopes over the years. FT has been a critical part of my recovery from these injuries, as well as keeping me in top form to begin with.Finally, FT Barrington RI is a friendly and welcoming place, and they are very flexible when it comes to making scheduling changes. If you truly want to make real progress with your personal fitness, this is the place to be.

I have been a member at Fitness Together for over two years. Prior to joining FT I had been to several gyms over many years with the same result: I would join, go a few times and then lose interest quickly. Fitness Together has the great advantage of individualized programs that are customized to my goals and ability. The fitness program changes often enough to keep things interesting and challenging. I've never been a workout person, it always bored me (I preferred to just play sports). But middle age has showed me that if you want to continue to enjoy participating in sports even in a small way (in my case over-40 softball, golf and shooting baskets with my sons), you need to do something to try to prevent/minimize weekend warrior injuries... I am currently working on my core strength and flexibility with Carl at FT in Barrington. This is the third time over the past several years that I've signed up for a series of sessions to work with the professional, friendly and caring team that Matt has assembled. The trainers are knowledgeable, friendly, fun, attentive and focused on helping their clients achieve their fitness goals. Love, love, LOVE this gym! The trainers are professionals, better than any physical therapist I ever went to. My residual back pain from a herniated disc is finally better... 6 years after the surgery to remove it! They've always got something that challenges me and I can ask questions about fitness activities and get advice that takes my injuries and history into account. I walk in there sometimes feeling like I couldn't possible move an inch, and then I walk out after my workout feeling ready to take on the world!
It's not the most important part to me, but I've also lost 25lbs and 2 dress sizes. My body feels like my friend again! Thanks FT Barrington team!

I just finished a 6 week challenge and lost over 20 lbs! Matt, Carl and the whole Fitness Together team are fantastic. They make every training session fun and challenging. More importantly, they also tailor the sessions and exercises to each person's needs. In my case, with a history of a bad back, they focused on workouts that avoided injury while still building up my strength and stamina. Part of the Challenge was to also encourage me to pay closer attention to my eating habits. I met with their nutritionist who gave me lots of great info about better choices for healthy meals, snacks, etc. By following their plan of a healthy diet combined with regular training and workouts, I am back on track to a healthy lifestyle.

This place is the best. I've been going once a week for 4 years. It changed my life.
I've been working out for the past 33 years regularly and have tried many gyms and trainers. The trainers at Fitness Together are great and they will really stick with you to make sure you achieve your goals.
I just climbed to the top of Mount Washington with a pack on in 3.5 hours. I'm in the best shape of my life, thanks to this place. They taught me how to work out, without hurting myself in the process. I can jog a 5k for the first time in 30 years and I feel great afterwards.
This gym is a must have.
