Recently had a birthday party for my 4 yr old son at Longplex. This is our second time having a birthday party there (2yrs old). The staff was accommodating and Nancy was very easy to work with. It went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time. Very convenient and will use again, definitely recommend.

This place has everything! It's a small city over here! The atmosphere is great. The gym is fantastic and there's so many activities for kids and adults. They had the 3rd floor that's a spa including permanent make up, massage, salt rooms and nurse practitioners. I definitely recommend checking this place out!

This place is really fun to play. Flag Football unfortunately has really fell off. Once upon a time there used to be 10 teams in the league. Now barely 5. Prices raised. Owner is a great dude, workers are awesome. Just wish their football leagues could be brought to their prime again.

This review is specifically for the fitness gym. It is evident that management is trying out new ideas, changing layout, getting some new machines, limited open field time for members, fixing steam room, all good moves. In my heart of hearts I want to rate this place 5 stars. I want to say the expensive membership is worth the price. I want to recommend it to friends and family because of the massive track, that allows you to watch games and run indoors in winter, and all the other good stuff, but I ethically can't for one fixable but completely ignored reason.

As soon as you enter the facility this really odd mismash of music that goes from Eric Clapton to Kayne West to Taylor Swift to P Diddy to Meatloaf to to Lorde is absolutely blaring no matter the time (5am or 10 pm) and forces you to either listen to the most random genre shuffle of top songs you will ever be subjected to or crank your earphones to max eardrum destruction, but bad music, no big deal right, gyms have that all the time, plus preference right.

But this gym decided they were going to have a ton of TVs in the gym and instead of playing sports, or keeping them off, or literally anything else, they have the weird music videos CONSTANTLY playing. I can't bench and not see some weird music video on a huge TV right above my head. It kills the vibe big time. Bringing this up to staff, as A LOT of people have, you get told "it's all one system" - it isn't, been there when the lights were on and TVs off.

So what you end up with is a gym with great potential that becomes increasingly annoying to workout at, which for the price you are paying you should be excited to come there. This isn't unique to just my experience, but from many others, who want this to be THE PLACE but can't deal with the obnoxious music videos on half of the walls. Also the sports kitchen advert makes people jump because of how loud and robotic and abrupt the sound is. It's sounds like a UFO is abducting you.

This place is a birthday party paradise!
Between the huge indoor soccer field, the epic bouncy house (yes, even the adults were bouncing), and a slide so tall that its absolutely okay to scream while sliding down, the kids had the time of their lives—and so did we! The staff were super chill and friendly, and everything felt really well organized. 10/10 would party here again.

This is an absolute wonderful addition to Tiverton. They have so much to offer and it gives children and teenagers a much needed outlet. Closed an hour early and stopped our food order on New Year's Eve with 2 Hungry Children. General Manager (son of owner) says he doesn't care because they have leagues there. My daughter and I, her friend and parent went to longplex in Tiverton for New Years Celebration for rollerskating, and restaurant. We arrived after work after 8pm and I had specifically asked they were supposed to be open until 11pm and the restaurant was open. (Also DON'T GO to restaurant either because last time the manager yelled while we were trying to eat food and ruined the whole experience because he wanted us to pay for a salad that the kitchen manager said could be substituted for non gluten free fries and screamed across the restaurant while we were trying to pay the check and had to go to the bar to pay my bill and leave that horrible place) So this was 2nd chance & despite us telling them a little after 8 that we wanted to place a food order they insisted to send a waitress down a little after 9, they CANCELED our Food order BEFORE they made it and despite saying they would be open until 11pm several times why we went there instead of other places, they closed an HOUR earlier at 10pm and kicked us out New Years Eve with 2 HUNGRY CHILDREN! I called the GM Justin and he basically said they have so many school hockey leagues there they don't CARE about customer service and REFUSED to give any refund! Don't GO HERE!

Have fun trying to go around the track when there is a school there. There has been either a track team or some kind of sports team completely monopolizing the track, the coach had them all on the ground doing exercises at one of the corners of the track, you could barely get by. The coach had them go on one of the mats and one of them was bouncing on the exercise ball so hard I thought it was going to pop. With the amount of money you pay for a monthly membership it’s ridiculous.

This review specifically addresses the soccer league at Longplex. Unfortunately, the league suffers from poor management, leading to several persistent issues:

Verbal agreements are not honored: On multiple occasions, verbal agreements have been made, only for the manager to later deny the conversation ever occurred. This lack of accountability is frustrating and unprofessional.

Emails are ignored: Communication is a major problem. Emails are often ignored or left unanswered, making it nearly impossible to resolve issues or get clarity on league matters.

Longplex Home team is undermanned: Unless the team is managed by someone on the roster, the home team is frequently left short-handed.

Scheduling problems: Game schedules are either released very late or not finalized until the last minute, creating unnecessary stress and making planning difficult.

These issues make participating in the adult leagues at Longplex incredibly challenging. It’s disappointing because there is so much potential for these leagues to thrive. Many local teams I’ve spoken with refuse to play at Longplex due to these ongoing problems.

I strongly recommend replacing the current league manager with someone capable of managing it effectively. With better leadership, the league could be filled with teams and even expand into multiple divisions. Sadly, the opportunity is being wasted due to mismanagement.

This gym is by far the best in the area. I've been a member of many other local gyms and none either come close. It is a bit more expensive than typical chain gyms but so worth it. The gym always has plenty of room for everyone, they are ALWAYS adding new machines, equipment, and classes, and the options to use the courts in mornings are awesome. Billing and checking in are both also so effortless, whereas at other gyms there's always problems. I've been coming here two years now and have no intention to leave. Highly recommend!!

Terrible place to play hockey, youd think you're playing for the stanley cup every game. For a no contact league, theres hitting in the lowest bottom league that's allowed and also, no such thing as penalties at longplex. Slash away! BTW, I'm in 3 out of 4 leagues :) not just Fridays, it's in every league this happens. Maybe if calls were made and not retaliations the games would be handled alot better. Sadly they're not.

This place proves that it's not the size that counts. Despite its immense size --it's clearly visible from the highway-- Longplex is essentially a poor man's Planet Fitness at roughly three times the price. For nearly $60, you can work out with significantly fewer machines and dumbells that only go up to 80 lbs. Simply put: this is not a lifters gym. The only good thing about it is the indoor roller hockey rink. If you want to lift weights or play basketball, go to Atlantic Fitness in Tiverton.

We have been here in the past for birthday parties so throwing our daughter her first birthday with her friends was a given. Jess was very accommodating, responsive and patient with me during the planning process. Super nice in person as was the rest of her team. The ONLY thing I would change is I would bring our own party decor. We went with the basic package they offer and I wish I had supplied our own. I wasn't thrilled with how they decorate the party room and I wish I would of brought some sort of music system (boom box or a small portable speaker at most) while everyone ate because music for me music just makes everything better lol. This place is fantastic. Everything you need under 1 roof. Live music Sat nights in the restaurant, terf fields for all diff sports, basketball area with adjustable hoops, cornhole tournaments and leagues, rink for roller skating...(you can pay extra to use gym and indoor walking track) but so much to do. Small arcade for kids. You can do a day pass per person. Snack area to purchase food/drinks. (One thing they need to look into would be getting refillable water stations)Bathrooms and showers. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Large parking lot (free to park) lots of leagues you could join. Fantastic hours. You can do birthday parties there. We were very impressed and will be returning.

Incredible facility. I belong to the gym after using the Highbar Physical Therapy (when I was there it was Performance Physical Therapy, they got 5*). I love the gym, although every so often the machines (treadmills) are OOC. You can get a lot of work in with the weights, you have an indoor FULL TRACK, There is a small "football field" for sled pushes, etc. It really is great. Only reason I gave it 3 stars is because hot water in the locker room is out about half the time. I am ok with it in the summer because it stays quasi-luke warm. But I go to the gym and use the sauna on the way to work, impossible to get there comfortably without an adequate shower. But, it is a GREAT gym if you don't care about the showers!

Update: I went back to 5 stars, It appears that the water heater is fixed. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it will stay fixed, because it is an amazing facility!

Skip this place for kids birthday parties. Booking was easy, communication via email prior to party was perfectly fine. Day of party it all just fell apart. They were not ready for us when we arrived. There was no communication or clear instruction. It was completely chaotic, disorganized, and unprofessional. No one seemed to know what was going on and there was no party host available for us and no staff monitoring the kids in the bounce house area. We booked a private party in the bounce area but others joined because there was no one there enforcing this . No pizza cutting, cake cutting,
We had to work it all out ourselves instead of being able to be present with our guests. All and all a complete disappointment. There are plenty of better options out there for a kids party, where professionalism and safety are a priority!

I use to have planet fitness membership and to have a guest entrance is
$20 (if not changed) but here was $10 if just the courts on the first floor and $15 for the fitness area. They have boxing equipment, a indoor track on the third floor, a gaming area and it wasnt so congested like other places and so much more space. My first time going was when there was a gymnastic event (love gymnastics) and really cant wait to try/do their skate night)

Paid $100 for a basketball league and they made us pay a surprise $20 to $25 dollar fee for an ID (inconsistent across the team who all signed up the same way). Jim Long (owner/operator of this undeniably amazing sports
complex) hosted the 64th Annual Newport Motor Car Festival. Having entered and participated in 100's car shows through the years with our cars, we can Jim Long and staff did a 100% job from beginning to end. Well organized, fast, efficient check in and very welcoming to every person that came into the arena inside and out. The facility is clean, bright, well vented with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great full service restaurant on third floor. Elevators to top level. Just incredible.

We participants look forward to seeing each other at Longplex next year.

They had a Father's Day car show there that was one of the best ones that have been to in 5 years

Longplex is fantastic! I went to a car show here and it was fantastic! Besides all the sports facilities (basketball, roller hockey, indoor soccer and wraparound running track) they have an arcade and a children's inflatable slide/play place. The bathrooms are also new and very clean.
