There's plenty of upto date equipment and lots of room. The only downside to the facility is the persistent aroma of body odor far outgoing the amount of people in the building. Put out some air freshener for Pete's sake. It stinks.

It's pretty good. I come here just about every day. The members and staff do a nice job taking care of the place. People are low key and friendly, but not too friendly that it's a nuisance. The atmosphere is a bit sleepy especially in the morning and midday. It's an office or a library of exercise, but it has everything you need to get a quality workout in, which is what's most important.

Hours are VERY reasonable. Love that they still have stair steppers. I really wish they'd make use of the open space and put down some turf or something since they banned everyone from using metal weights on the carpet. A guy just wants to do lunges!

Looking for a gym for pilate classes and came upon Luxe Fitness online. The website is awful. There is no information about class schedules or pricing, I was turned off right away. If they can’t provide any information on their website what’s the purpose of having one - I crossed them off my list!

So happy I found Luxe Fitness!! I’ve been a member at my gym in CT for 23 years and on June 1st I tried a different gym (Luxe Fitness) and absolutely love it.. It’s very clean and super nice and have everything you need from free weights to hammer strength and machines.. Melissa is awesome!!!!! I will definitely be a member of this gym for 20 years hands down!!

After being a member since 2011 I just informed the co owner that I wanted to cancel my membership. Her response was and I quote “I don’t care” what a great business who cares about their customers. Furthermore, the guest passes increased in price from $10 to $15 per session. Sad that a business tries to exploit more money during a time of crisis from many people who potentially aren’t working. Lost all respect for the business owners of Luxe fitness. Disgraceful

I've been going to Luxe for a long time now, and I love this gym! I'm always greeted by whoever is working at the front desk every morning when I walk in, and I always feel comfortable going there and working out on my own. As a young female in a gym, this is huge! The environment in Luxe is friendly and warm, and I never feel intimidated by whoever else is in there. I would recommend this gym to anybody!

Luxe fitness is a great facility! The shear size and amount of equipment inside are unmatched in the area! Over 20,000 square feet of fitness equipment!!! Great trainers on site for all levels of fitness needs!!! The cleanliness of the facility is also top notch! Not only are there alcohol gel stations throughout the facility, there are ready wipes and spray bottles with towels for the members to wipe down the equipment after use. All within a couple of feet of the machines that you are using. The workers are constantly vacuuming and wiping down the equipment as well. The equipment is well maintained and when taken out of service, repaired quickly. The locker rooms are clean, again the workers are constantly vacuuming inside when they are able to get in. For the money you won't find a better deal or fitness center to join!! Hours are great, the place never closes for holidays, storms etc. Highly recommended!!!!

Ok , I've been going to this fitness center for 5 years now. Been going to gyms since 1982. I'm 50 years old, but fit. I like the atmosphere, and I don't particularly go during busy hours. Plenty of machines of all kinds. I do cardio and lift. Staff is ok, usually busy behind the counter on their cel phones. One female employee, the shortest and skinniest and perhaps the youngest, is a workaholic, always vacuuming, wiping down machines, etc. Yet another one barely gets off of her swivel chair behind the counter. So you have all types working there.

I like working out there. Hate the music. 5 years, same current top 20 bubble gum pop/rap tunes of the day. Oy vey. It's actually a rule. Employees are not allowed to change the station. A couple years ago I tried to bribe an employee with $20 to change the station for one day. She held fast to the rule.

I don't know about the women's locker room/bathroom, I read another reviewer thought the bathrooms were clean, but she did not go into the men's locker room. I don't know how often the locker rooms/bathroom facilities are cleaned. I know not enough. I don't know if a janitorial service is used. I don't know if it's part of the employees' job description. But the bathroom facilities were dis-gus-ting. Wouldn't you think they would be cleaned every night? Three days in a row so far the same encrusted toilet...stains....remnants...I couldn't believe it. Walls could use a good bleaching. So if the locker rooms are like this, it just leads me to believe the weights/cardio area isn't well cleaned as it should be. So my advice : Wash hands. Wipe down machines before AND after use. Most users do not wipe machines. They have neither clue nor care of what germs can be caught. Oh and wash hands again. And take advantage of their anti-bacterial dispensers if you see them. It's not a bad gym. Just protect yourself, and bring your own music. Slim Whitman, Boy George, whatever your into.

I have been a member of Luxe Fitness for a number of years. The facilities are immaculate! If a piece of equipment breaks they have a quick turn around to have the machine up and running as quickly as possible. Their prices makes it a health club that is quite affordable too! Plus you are able to use either the facility in Wakefield or Westerly.

I go to the Westerly location. It's a good gym for the price. $20 bucks a month and that can be upgraded to 30 allowing you to do all the classes free. Big open weight lifting section, cardio area is big and there's rarely any waiting time. There's a variety of machines. Staff is nice. Only real issue I have are the hours, wish it was a 24 hour gym or at least open til midnight. Other than that it's a good gym.

The staff at Luxe Fitness is very misinforming. They told me that I could cancel my membership at any point in time which is very untrue! When I called to try to cancel it, they said I could not cancel it and I had to pay for the year! Ridiculous. How can anyone be forced to pay for a service they will never use? I am willing to even pay a fee to stop the membership but they don't have this. The staff needs to be more informed and honest with customers. You cannot tell a customer they can cancel at any time when they cannot! I am basically being forced to pay for this gym and I do not even go there or live in Westerly anymore.

These people have the worst customer service I have ever seen. I moved from the area 4 months ago and canceled my membership with plenty of notice. They continued to charge me for the following 3 months while I was never able to use their gym and when I closed the account they were charging I got an angry phone call from their assistant manager Ashley demanding that I pay them more money. When trying to explain the situation I was berated by her over the phone to the point that she would not let me speak. I finally got my word in tell her that I was no longer going to pay for a service that I was not able to use and was told "Fine this conversation is over then," and hung up. I will be contacting the actual manager as soon as possible. I have no complaints about the facilities but beware that they will treat you, the paying customer, like dirt and try to scam you out of all the money they can.

Update - I spoke with the manager this morning and am glad to report that everything was resolved in a polite and professional mannor with her. I dont know what was up with their asst. manager still.
