Manic Training is a family-owned gym on a mission to help people reach their fitness goals and live life on their terms. Established in 2011 with a handful of people at workouts, Manic has grown into a large and vibrant fitness community. Our team of friendly and knowledgeable trainers come from a variety of backgrounds. Every trainer has their own unique style & skillset, and they all help to set the tone in our supportive, positive community.

I’ve been coming to Manic 3-5x a week for better part of six months now. John, and his group of trainers have been hugely impactful for me. I’m down about 25lbs and have gone from doing absolutely no regular physical activity to looking forward to coming to the gym and pushing myself. I’ve not only seen appreciable weight loss, but appreciable strength gain, and increase in mobility, and a significant change in mindset- perhaps the most important benefit. John, Patrick, Jessica, Nina, and Eli, have been incredibly encouraging and have been crucial in helping me to stick with it. Gyms have always been an intimidating place for me- even when I was working out regularly- and they’ve done an amazing job at making Manic feel welcoming. I’m now extremely thankful to have Manic be a part of my routine and I look forward to continued improved thanks to John and his crew.

As an older (64), out of shape guy, I was always intimidated by this place, but I went with a friend and while I got my butt kicked initially, I'm now three months in and I look forward to each session. The instructors are great, patient, and supportive and Manic seems the perfect spot between hiring a personal trainer and going to a large class or worse, going to a gym and wandering around with no plan or discipline.

My partner and I are 77 and 68 respectively and have had such a great experience at Manic Training since we joined 6 weeks ago. We attend the 10:30 class on MWF and Eli our instructor is very attentive to our needs and readily offers us modifications for exercises we find challenging. It is amazing the skills one can regain after not having done them for years and we can already feel our bodies getting stronger with improved balance. We’d encourage anyone to try it out and enjoy a supportive group of people all trying to become more fit.

Came in for the week and a friend said they loved it as their full time gym. Signed up easily and went all week, had incredible workouts that were so different than anything I've done before. I just got back from an overnight backpacking trip in the Adirondack Mountains for my youngest’s bachelor party. 22½ miles with 4700 feet of elevation gain is no joke. Manic Training is the best! I decided to try some classes about 6 months ago and wish I had come sooner.
I have taken classes with the owner, John and also Sherri (both fantastic), though most of my classes have been with Eli.
Eli is incredibly patient, kind and knowledgeable, and truly wants to help you improve.
The environment is judgement free and you can modify any exercises you need to. The trainers help you with form, or any questions you have along the way.
The classes are so thoughtfully created and challenging, and there are plenty of time slots available to fit into your schedule.
After a few classes I was hooked and am feeling stronger and healthier than I have in years.

So, I joined Manic because working out alone just wasn't happening. Finding the time, staying consistent, and following a program that delivered results was a struggle. My primary goal is to build total body strength and endurance. One of my passions is surfing, and in middle age, I am easily stronger and faster, and I catch more waves (and bigger ones) than any of my peers ... and, for that matter, the vast majority of those younger than me. The results can come fast if you follow the program and push your limits. At the time of this review, I have only been a member for ~8 months and the change has been impressive. It's not a hand-holding program, nor are you out there on your own. John and the other trainers guide you, but you still need to be honest with yourself and put in the effort. They are there to answer questions, correct your form if needed, support your progress, and give you alternatives if you cannot perform one of the routines for some reason. John and the team also care about your overall well-being. They talk about the mental game, stretching, and they have additional resources (sauna, red lights, stretching implements, etc) to help you if and when needed. The well-planned exercise routines focus on the whole body with strength, cardio, and mobility. This has helped me identify areas where I can completely crush it AND areas where I really need to improve my strength and flexibility. I am happy I joined. Quite possibly, half my years are behind me BUT being in the best shape of my life is still ahead of me, and I am approaching that achievement quickly. If you're on the fence, just sign up for the free trial. It's a no-judgement place, and everyone there (members included) is very supportive. Just do it 💪.

Manic Training is a fun, effective and energetic high-intensity interval style workout that never gets boring! My 19yo daughter and I come 3-5 days per week and LOVE working out here. I cant speak highly enough about Manic. I am not a "gym" person and tried other things that focuses too much on picking up excessivley heavy things. Manic weaves in all sorts of workouts and tranings in a way that beginners and people who have done it for years can seamlessly workout together. The instructor's are knowledgable and patient.

Personally I have seen an astonishing transformation in my body and energy going 3 to 4 x per week.

I have been doing Manic Training since the day it opened in 2012. It has become part of the fabric of my life. I religiously attend the 6am class M,W, F and it is the best part of my day. The workouts are as challenging as you want them to be which allows people at all levels and abilities to workout at the same time. The programming is tremendous and you don't know what the workout is until you arrive at class which adds to the excitement. The best part of Manic Training is the community of like minded people sharing a common goal and having fun while getting the best workout of your life!

A year in and I cant believe how effective it is.
I haven't been this fit since my early 20s and Ill be 50 soon.
I only go 2x a week and lift weights elsewhere.The scheduled classes are at good times and allow you to make it work with your own schedule. Its difficult but if you can get through a month you will be a believer. Results come fast and are very noticeable as you go about your daily routine.From climbing 6 flights of stairs like its nothing to quickly grabbing something off the floor while in motion. It make your whole body fit and has given me a much more fluid and balanced stride. Its a different kind of fitness from running and or weight lifting. Not to oversell it but its a time machine. Finally the other people participating are very nice and the instructors are great. There is a balanced mix of men to women and very fit to beginners. At the times I go classes vary in attendance from as little as 4 people to 20 but its usually around 12 people in the early morning class.

I feel like I should be burning more calories than the display on the exercise machines are telling me. Stupid assault bikes, ski machines and rowers, but great workout! I remember my first class last year, I was pretty much done after the first 10 minutes of warm up. But now I'm stronger and more flexible than I've ever been. Anything that's physically demanding feels effortless and I'm never out of breath. I can beat my cousin in tennis who's pretty good and it's not even because I'm that good at tennis. I can just outlast him physically until he starts making mistakes. Thanks Manic!
