Clean place and staff is generally friendly, but like all PF locations, suffers from having too much cardio equipment and not enough strength training machines/equipment. Even at 3:00PM before the rush hour, all 4 smith machines are taken as well as 6 out of the 7 free weight benches. Meanwhile like 80% of the cardio equipment is free.

I love how the staff are all so friendly and helpful! They greet me with a smile that is genuine. It really makes you feel like going there. The gym and locker rooms are super clean. The only complaint I have is that some of the equipment could use an upgrade and the one paper holder is hanging on by a thread making it difficult to use, but other than that it's a great facility. There is so much space and it's never too crowded so I don't have to wait to use any machines. I really enjoy my experience here so far.

If you bring a guest, be careful letting them try or use the massage stuff. I gave it a try as I was a guest and was thinking about getting a black card membership, and within 45 seconds, a staff member runs into the room (are we being recorded?) to remind us guests aren't allowed to. Talked down to like kids. Needless to say, I decided not to get the membership.

A few days later, we saw people bringing in their non-service dogs and employees didn't care. Isn't that against policy?

Love the atmosphere, the staff & even all the people working out are the most friendly people you could meet. I had a 15 min convo w/a woman I didn't even know & it made my workout even better. Just hope they keep all the massage chairs, tanning booths, the TBE & the hydra tanning & the hydro water massage beds, up & running. I've been to other P.F.'s & they definitely don't run as happily & efficiently as this one. Way to go guys!!

I've never had a problem here. The lunk alarm is more of a decoration than anything. It has gone off before, but seems to be accidental since there was nothing happening that would've triggered it.

There's 2 specific machines that face each other and it's kind of weird to be face to face with a stranger, so maybe turn that specific machine around to face the mirror like the rest of the machines... The women's locker room is always relatively clean. I wouldn't perform surgery in there but I also don't feel grossed out.

Black card membership area feels bougie which is nice. I've only tried the massage chair though, my next goal is to figure out the hydromassage. It sounds daunting but I'm sure I can figure it out.

Staff talk to you like if you work for them, I brought my son to do some workouts and the policy is if you bring a guess you have to stay there (which I didn’t know) so the guy name Adilson goes hey hey!! When I was on my way to my car to wait for my son in the car, “it doesn’t work like that” with a bad actitud, staff needs customer service training “if I don’t know something there is an easy way to explain, not try talking to me like if I’m your maid. Then I decided to cancel my membership because of customer service, when this new kid asked me the reason why I’m canceling, a girl named Celina told the new kid to write “policy violation” I’m canceling because of the staff, there is no violation, doesn’t make any sense, and at that exact moment another young lady canceled for the same reason. Hope this comment gets to the owners because you will be loosing a lot of customers because of these 2 stooges “Adilson and Celina” get some management training!! I was a member for 3 years!! Pretty much since they opened the place until had to cross some words with their staff. Done!!

I haven't been happy since I've signed up. There was one staff person that made me feel uncomfortable in his problem solving department. Then once you give them access through the routing number oh boy watch out. There's no problem pulling out my money however if there's a error good luck getting your money back. Matter of fact you won't get your money back.

My home membership is in Venice FL. I recently visited 2 Planet Fitness locations in Nashua NH and had a home membership in North Attleboro for about a year. The Planet Fitness here in Rumford has been my favorite of all those locations. Very spacious. Plenty of working equipment. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean environment. Not overly crowded. Glad I get to enjoy it 7 more times this month on my black card. 😀

Excellent place to exercise, I know it is a fitness planet but it is very different from some that I have visited, it is very clean, organized, everything is very well structured, you can go calmly and enjoy a very good atmosphere. (In the past, I had stopped visiting the gym, specifically Planet Fitness in Pawtucket because the staff was a little racist and grumpy) I decided to give it another chance and I loved it. I must also say that the staff is very friendly. 100% recommended

When these places started to open up for low membership prices, I thought it was a joke. However, since joining Planet Fitness, I really enjoy it. There are so many treadmills that I never have to wait for one like my previous $90 a month health club. I have gone to several clubs since I hsve a Black card membership and they are all clean and very well maintained. I recommend Planet Fitness to friends an family.

I've been a black card member for a few years. The employees are all nice, but turnover is super high, just saying. I like it here, I can do my own thing and not be bothered, but I do have some concerns. The ladies room is not always clean, and the toilets need to be upgraded. I love the hydromassage bed, but sometimes it shuts off in the middle, or doesn't work at all (currently out of order). I frequently hear equipment squeaking, grinding, etc.; is it being maintained properly and regularly? Consistency with enforcing masks is sometimes an issue too. I don't plan on leaving, but there are times when I want to say I'm done here.

June 2022 update....the summer teen program gets an A for intent and an F for execution. Was the nail in the coffin for me. Will be leaving PF soon.

July 2022 update...turned in my letter to quit. No questions asked.

Planet Fitness makes it so easy to sign up online but if you want to cancel your month-to-month membership, get ready.

You will have to (per their agreement) "...give notice, in writing, that you do not wish to be bound by the contract. This notice must be delivered or mailed before midnight of the tenth (10th) business day after the date of the contract so entered into. All cancellations must be delivered or mailed to: Planet Fitness, 650 Bald Hill Road, Warwick, RI 02886."

Why can't cancellation of membership be done online in just as many easy steps (as it used to be)?

Now, you need an annulment letter to Planet Fitness written by a calligrapher, notarized with a blood seal, and delivered via homing pigeon with a tracking number in order to be sure it was received and processed in a timely fashion before you get charged again.

Planet Fitness is always a scam. They now advertise no contracts however if you sign up and then try to upgrade or downgrade your membership they require you to sign a 12 month contract. The only other option is to cancel the membership and resign up however then you get stuck paying the yearly fee a second time.
