The place is nice and very clean, but don’t waste your time. Came here at 1pm on a Tuesday and It’s filled with nothing but middle school and high school kids who just wanna play on their phones and not actually do any working out. Don’t go here unless you want to be harassed by rude staff, specifically by one of the managers Abbey. For context I was in the women's locker room and went to get dressed in one of the only changing rooms open. I was then meet by an irritating and obnoxious yelling and banging on the door from Abbey telling me to get out because some of her things were in there and she needed to change. I’m sorry I didn’t know you could reserve changing rooms at planet fitness especially on a busy morning. I was then confronted by her when trying to do some cardio on the treadmills. Furthermore, when asking other staff members if I could file a complaint none of them were helpful. Never in my years of training have I been treated like this at a gym especially by someone who is supposed to be professional and represent the place!

Nice big space, super clean, relaxed no pressure vibe, helpful personable staff. Large selection of equipment, and areas are clearly marked. I’m looking forward to tutorials available on the PF app to utilize more equipment. The overall cleanliness of the entire facility including a nice looking locker room with plenty of lockers, bathroom and shower stalls. Love the extended hours of operation and low monthly membership fee.

From 8am to 8:30am no one was at the front. The gym is clean, but that's probably because we are supposed to clean the gym equipment after use. I mean the 2 stars is because the door is open at least, lights are on.

Just spoke with some rando on the phone about my account. They created a second account when my daughter went to upgrade our account to the black card. Instead of upgrading - they created a whole different account. They didn’t notice they did that. And, didn’t notice she was 15 and really should not be authorized to make that change but hey. So I got double charged for two accounts. Someone there helped resolved it but they left me with two annual fees- one for the original membership and a brand new one for the upgraded membership just a few months later. I asked if they could refund that. Nope. Could they give me one extra month. Nope. I asked for a manager. Nope. He said she was aware of it. I asked for the ma agers name. Nope. What the hell? So very bizarre that they won’t Take any accountability for this error. Told me to call “ corporate.” These giant corporations can be hard to deal with but when you get some young guy in the phone that enjoys shorting down a reasonable customer service issue- it’s pretty lame. Place kinda lacks humanity.

Positives are that staff is friendly and helpful, gym is generally clean, not a lot of noise or distractions. People keep mostly to themselves which is a neutral in that you can say hi once in a while, it won’t hurt. But you can also get your workout done. Could use some free standing barbell weights but of course, they don’t want a lawsuit. Can be busy at times. Worth the price!

This is a cheap corporate gym that is all about the corporate. They can cancel your membership at any time and keep your money, without warning, if they feel like it and you have zero recourse.

The corrupt and unethical manager of this facility called the police on me and terminated my membership for life with no refund (despite paragraph 4 of the member agreement stating I am owed one). The police said I broke no laws but I was warned off the premises and warned if I came back I'd be arrested for trespassing.

At that point I attempted to contact the owners of this branch - not possible. They are not registered in the RI business registry.

Then I attempted to contact PF corporate - not possible. There is no PF corporate. There is no one who will help you, period. They say contact the club, which I can't.

Third I contacted the BBB and showed them picture of other club members doing exactly what I was kicked out for and they have ignore the BBB for a month. The BBB stated that no one at the club will reply to them.

If a firm refuses to even talk to the BBB, that pretty much tells you where these people are on the scale of ethics.

The club itself is pretty, but uses cheap equipment, designed by lawyers, much of which is broken all the time.

Find a good local gym. It may cost a little more, but you won't be supporting Globo-Gym.

Place is nice enough but I had a bad experience. Got denied entry by a male employee saying my shorts were too short (I’m a man), even though I could look around and see women working out in the same length or shorter shorts. Felt pretty homophobic to me. I was just guesting at this branch while on vacation and had already gone two other times with same brand/length shorts with no problem… short bald guy with a beard might need some education on equitable policy enforcement.

I haven’t worked out in 8 years for the first three months I only did cardio because It was overwhelming going back and I’m an introvert. I finally asked chad for help and he got me on track lifting wise. We put a plan together. He can’t make you show up but if you execute the plan and eat right you’ll see good results. The other staff seems friendly as well.

Place is a scam. Nobody there to help you, don’t answer questions, had to join online, never got a key tag or barcode so can’t manage account, now trying to cancel and the staff on the phone are all rude, tons of attitude, place is run by bitter children. I'm 82 years old and my insurance pays for my fitness program. I was told that the only way that I can activate my account is to apply at the East Greenwich Planet Fitness. I went there three times and applied and it is still not active at the Narragansett facility. The manager at Narragansett applied for me and again it was never activated. I complained again and she told me to go back to East Greenwich. I give up!
