I have been a Black Card member for 15 years, and I have always appreciated the facilities and services at my gym. However, my recent visit left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.

Today, I scanned in without any issues, but I received an alert on my app indicating that my monthly payment was one day late. This delay was due to my payment method being linked to an account that no longer exists, and I needed to update it. When I asked the GM and if I could work out just for today, I was met with a firm refusal. I was told I couldn't work out because of this one-day oversight and was asked to leave.

As a mom, it takes a lot for me to find the energy and time to make it to the gym, and being turned away felt very disheartening. It made me feel undervalued as a member. To add to my frustration, I had just been charged for my annual membership. I understand that policies are in place for a reason, but this experience felt discriminatory. It left me questioning whether the staff's decision was truly about policy or if it stemmed from a bias against me due to my weight.

In today's economy, I am very careful with how and where I choose to spend my money. It is disheartening to feel like a valued member of the gym can be dismissed over a minor oversight. Overall, I hope the gym reconsiders how they should handle a situation like this in the future.

The gym has always been very special to me. I consider the gym my sanctuary. Membership should come with a sense of community and understanding, not exclusion over a minor issue. You claim to have the most inclusive gym, yet your GM can’t even offer a bit of kindness in a moment of need.

Before deciding to join this gym, I urge you to consider my experience. While they advertise inclusivity and community, my recent visit left me feeling dismissed and undervalued. A minor, one-day payment oversight led to being turned away at the door, despite being a long-time member.

If you’re looking for a supportive environment, be aware that this gym will not offer the kindness and understanding you would expect.

I’ve been to a couple different gyms now and I have to say I’m thoroughly impressed by planet fitness. It’s always clean, machines are well maintained, and the energy is great. I’m always greeted with smiling faces at the front desk. The staff is always super helpful and super attentive especially the manager, Rylee! she helped me obtain the free black card for teens and made the process so easy and didn’t make me feel like a burden at all. Overall, I’ve been loving my membership and would totally recommend.

I would highly recommend this gym. Staff is accommodating, friendly and polite. Facility, including bathrooms, is clean and neat. Member population is generally polite and friendly. Equipment is in good condition. Its not overcrowded. The price is affordable and it's close to our home.

If I could give 0 stars I would for their customer service and billing practices. After spending hours to first transfer a membership that hadn't been used for years, being told it was possible, but later finding out it couldn't be, we then tried to cancel the membership by the end of the month. Letter sent and received by end of the month, only to find out that we would be charged AGAIN for one additional month. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Canceling a membership takes more effort and time than it's worth. Planet Fitness should be ashamed of itself.

I hold very mixed feelings on this planet fitness. The gym is great and has plenty of cardio options but I keep being repeatedly mogged by fat people. When I walk in to the gym, 78% of the time I see a usually see the same group of 350+ lb people mogging me and rubbing their enormous bellies the entire time I’m there. Please remove them!

Horrible place stuff is not helpful we went so many times to ask for help show us how to exercise and get refund because we used only 1 hour of gym they are disrespectful and not helpful. We called many times to help us and we didn't even use the machine just look around they keep tell us to come in one week you will get refund and never get money back just to talk to manager it took forever they told us after 3 weeks that you can use the gym but it left only 1 week and we didn’t want to use the gym anyways. Never come there again. Horrible. Manager was just smiling and laughing instead of helping me in serious situation he makes me feel like I am a joke for him in very serious situation

I went there first time and I was talking to manager he told me that if I choose black membership for the first time there is no contract and it will be better for me to cancel if I don’t like it because I was up front that I am just trying it he recommended it to me I choose this plan even though it was more expensive. I went once and I didn’t find help or how to operate the equipment stuff wasn’t helpful and they keep pushing me to wait for refund I waited and waited keep coming in person and calling and they told me that you will not get refund but I used only once for very short time. Stuff was helpful rude and not help me get my refund for not using gym for whole month and I paid for whole month. Not fair and not helpful disrespectful people. Waste of time I wasted more time for keep coming to them then I actually used the gym. Horrible customer service not professional

The gym is clean but has no barbells. They are advertised online as access to black card via the fitness your way but do predatory prices to try to get you to pay an extra feee for the black card when you join. The first associate told me I would get a black card but conviently coded it incorrectly as silver sneakers. they hadn’t seen the fitness your way through to tivity Health, So just downgraded the program to try to make me pay more to get access to all the clubs. The next associate just said oh I see a similar program that’s why it’s under this one, rather than do some research or help the customer. Why would I pay $39.99 a month to get access to a $10 a month program.

The facility is beautiful, but what impressed me most was the customer service I received . I came in to get membership information and Jeremy, The Assistant Manager assisted me.
He communicated clearly and offered assistance when he could sense that I could use it ( technology). He answered all my questions and didn’t rush me. He was so welcoming and personable.
He made coming here so pleasant!
I look forward to being a part of Planet Fitness Warren!

I've been on the fence about continuing at planet fitness. I get up early and go work out at 5 am. Unfortunately this is the 3rd time there has been no one there to open up the gym. That's the only time I have to workout. I dont know if it's lack of communication short staffed but definitely frustrating.

They were originally maxx fitness, changed to planet fitness, and I chose to not keep going after they renovated. Money was taken out of my bank account without mention, email, or text that that would be the case. 50 was taken from me for the year so I went in person and cancelled my membership. So tell me thy they STILL took 15 more dollars out of my account AFTER MY MEMBERSHIP WAS CANCELLED?
