Finally after 7 months of waiting to get in I had to ask for my money back...after numerous phone call a wasted time they always would say there was one child in front of mine on waiting list. I hoped that they would be more upfront of how long the wait is instead of wasting my time. When I finally asked for my money back that was no "sorry this happened" or "how can we make this right"

We are so incredibly happy with our experience so far at Pods! My 5 year old was able to swim independently and confidently all summer because of his swim lessons there! He was so proud to be able to do this and it really made a positive impact on his pool experiences. My 2 year old is also making such incredible progress. He cried for probably the first year we took him but we just kept coming back and boy was it worth it! He finally is happy and has made SO much progress. Thank you SO much to Marguerite and Jenna for always taking such good care of the kids and teaching them so well. They both are so good with kids who are crying and help you feel so comfortable even when they are. They never made me feel bad that my kid was crying or difficult.. thank you! Pods is 100% worth the time and money! And we just had a 3rd who will most definitely be doing lessons there too so I can have 3 strong, confident swimmers :)

Simply the worst customer service of any children's lessons facilitator I have ever worked with. You would think they pay us to be there, based on how rude program director Jamie Pascale is.

In short... they are stuck in the past with scheduling capabilities and have very rude administrative employees. They expect to handle all class scheduling and time changes for returning students in the fall via email, without ever sharing their available schedule of class times. They literally expect the existing families with enrolled students to provide their full availability and be offered a class by their staff, rather than browse and schedule what works from the available class offerings. They say this is to prevent newcomers from snapping up all the open classes before returning families get the chance... but come on, its 2025! There is better tech and software available, the issue is PODS just doesnt use it -- they have something archaic and limiting, which will in turn limit you in your ability to schedule with them.

I'm not writing this review because of that alone, however. When I reached out to request a copy of their schedule, I was scolded like a child in school who forgot their homework. All I wanted was to see the open classes they had left, since I choose my own hours for work and can often be flexible in the daytime. It took a frustrsting and contentious exchange with Jamie (and leaving this review) to see their availability for my daughters level. I later learned from front desk staff that this type of sharing of the schedule is not a sustainable business practice for PODS, and is against their policy/not a standard practice. They wait to share their schedule until all returning families have finalized their selections.

Adam at the front desk and most of the swim teachers I have met are kind, helpful, and skilled at teaching, which is the only thing that outweighs the barriers to signing up for classes. Ultimately, I believe my daughter can learn to swim here...which is what matters most. I recommend the owners invest in better scheduling technology, as well as customer service training for all employees.

We’ve had a great experience at Pods Swimming! Both of our kids have become confident, capable swimmers thanks to the fun and supportive teaching style. The instructors do an awesome job of keeping it fun while helping the kids build real world swimming and safety skills.

One of our favorite moments was when someone at another pool said, β€œThey must be Pods kids!”.

We feel safe and proud when our kids are around or in the water, and we’re glad to be part of the Pods family!

Hi. Wanted to share review of PODs. Today was our first swim class here and what a difference compared to the Ymca in Seekonk. PODS was really great experience. Very structured and organized. The instructors that were there were very kind and focused on your child and patient. They did so much in 30mins vs what we experienced elsewhere last year. The water is 90 degrees which is a huge plus for my little girl. She cried half the class at the Y because the water was so cold. My daughter cried at the end of the class because she didn't want to leave. She wanted to jump in 1 more time or go to other end of pool. Unfortunately the class was over so we had to tell her next class. I did have a mom panic moment as I wasn't required to be in the water at this location... I see my daughter's head go under the water for like a quick half a second while on the platform that floats that they all stand on. I reacted and banged on window and spooked the instructor. I didn't mean to do that. It was a worried reaction. She literally popped her head back up immediately but i had knocked on window so fast. We can't do what I did. The instructor immediately looked at the kids. She assured me not to worry they are all on top of everything. I then asked my little one why did you put ur head under the water she said she wanted to look at her feet to make sure they were placed in the right spot. Im assuming it was what was told to her. Good kid for following directions and almost giving me a heart attack. Anywho, I really loved it here and I look forward to coming here long term with her and my baby boy when he hits the age where he can go here. I know it's day 1 but felt like I needed to write this review. Will add another review after we have been going for longer. Also the parents in my daughter's class were saying how they have been going here for a few yrs and how much they love it and are very happy there compared to other swim schools. I didn't hear anyone complain. The areas are also very clean and organized. Lots of smiles from the ppl who work there. Always a plus. Ty for reading my long review. πŸ’“
********2nd Review (few months being at PODS)*****************
My Review still stands at 5 STARS!
We really love it here and my little girl loves Miss Jenna! She is kind, patient, and always has a smile. My little one had a little moment where she said she get nervous and panicked and forgot how to kick her feet under the water. She didn't want to go back in but with encouragement she went back in and Miss Jenna was so great with her. She really gives the time needed for each individual child and is super attentive. I have no complaints. Only that my little doesn't want to leave the shower after getting out of the pool and I lie and say they are going to run out of water we need to hurry up. I think one of the instructors knew my daughter tends to do this to me and he helped me out saying oh no we gotta hurry up lol so that was nice becasue Mama needs to go. Lol. Anywho this place is great. I'm shocked to see any negative reviews as I never had experienced anything. I plan to stay doing the July and Aug classes and we don't plan on ever leaving. I can see how much my little has learned in the short time there and I'm happy with the progress so far. I wish the classes. Thank You for reading this.

We were referred to this swim school by some friends who were new as well at the time. (They ended up leaving shortly after due to same complaints I had.) The woman at the desk was always extremely rude and arrogant. The person teaching the classes just allowed the children to do what they wanted instead of them listening to what they were teaching. My child who loved to swim needed confidence building and this place did not do that. They went from being able to swim to not being able to swim, scared of the pool and not ever wanting to come back. We pulled them and went to Goldfish. Best decision I have ever made. They are now strong swimmers and love the water.

This is a great place. The pool is pristine, the water aerobics class is well-taught and suitable for people at all levels. I took swimming lessons with Adam and it was a great experience. I highly recommend PODS. Also, PODS is now accepted by BXBS for their yearly exercise reimbursement program.

My son has attended PODS Aquatics Center since he’s been six months old. He will be three in July. Today, at the end of his Nautilus I exercise a trainee failed to watch my son grab the edge of the pool and he went under the water. This resulted in another parent banging on the glass to get the trainer’s attention. Only then did she realize my son was in distress. We are thankful he has a strong aptitude for swimming and loves the water. This could’ve turned out very badly. We are conscientious that it is hard to find qualified staff in a post-pandemic economy, but this was no excuse! If you want tuition hikes due to so-called continuous operating expenses and a revolving door of staff, PODS is the place for you. We will never go back here! I rather give my money to Ripples or the YMCA. πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Excellent swim lessons for children of all ages. My oldest daughter started when she was just over a year old. Now, at 3.5, she can jump in the pool and swim back to the pool edge solo. Shes also swimming to the bottom of the pool, floating on her back and learning breath control with kicking. We now have two kids in swim. Miss Jenna and Miss Marguerite are the best! Don't let the price deter you. You get what you pay for!

Enrolled our 9-month old baby in swimming classes here on the advice of a friend, and couldn't be more pleased. The instructors are kind (welcoming every child by name), and highly competent. I feel very safe having them teach my baby to swim, and frankly, they also do a terrific job about teaching me how to continue the learning process for my baby at home. (My baby no longer freaks out when his face gets wet in the tub when we wash his hair, etc.)
Could not recommend Pods Swimming more highly.

Only place to take your little one if you want them to learn to swim by far the best school! My 3yrs spent many months at Goldfish swimming school & would barley put his face in the water. After only 3 classes my son can now get across half the pool on his own (tho it can be rough at times) with his head under the water the entire time. This is not play time like other schools only real option in my book after attending 2 other schools for many months. Also Pods had him jumping in the water from the edge & turning around & climbing out of the pool the first class which to me just made all the sense in the world. But did not see this at the other schools or not even close to this level. Do yourself the favor wait for this place if no current spots open it’s worth the wait!!

My kids have been going to Pods for 4.5 years. They both love it there, the teachers are great at teaching to the kids appropriate skill level. My oldest struggled for awhile with fear of the water and the teachers were patient and encouraging and now he is almost 5 practicing different strokes and breathing side to side. We are thrilled and make the drive from NK every week.

My three year old daughter slipped and fell feet first, into the shallow end of an in ground pool. I jumped into the pool to grab her. Before I was able to, she turned around, grabbed the wall and pulled herself out of the pool. She then sat on the ground crying because she was very scared. I was in shock and relieved that she was able to pull herself out of the pool that quickly. The swim lessons work! They work very well. My daughter does not always enjoy parts of swim class. She doesn’t love floating on her back. That being said, she remembered how to react quickly and safely. Pods has a fabulous program where safety is priority.

I wholeheartedly recommend PODS. FIRST, the front desk receptionist, Ms Vinny is amazing. She is a breath of fresh air when you walk in. She is sweet, kind, and loves the children. My daughter Talia is always happy to see Ms Vinny and looks forward to her hugs and stickers. SECOND, the instructors are all awesome and truly love what they do. They are caring, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Jamie, the program manager is very helpful and has great communication with scheduling classes. ALL the STAFF, make your child's safety a TOP priority. THIRD, the facility is clean and the water is warm. Lastly, as a parent I feel confident that my children are learning a skill that is not only fun but could also save their lives! Thank You PODS for helping my children!!

Would not recommend this place to anyone!! My daughter recently moved up to the β€œOctopus” class taught by Jamie Pascale. She went a few times then completely stopped wanting to go. I did not understand why. I talked her into going today and found out why. I watched the class and the teacher was yelling at her almost the entire time. My daughter is shy and sensitive so if someone is yelling at her she will shut down and that’s what she did. She stopped participating and she wouldn’t listen to the teacher. This made the teacher irritated and visibly annoyed. After class I spoke to my daughter who was practically in tears and she told me the teacher yelled at her and said β€œShe does not belong in that class and she needs to be in a lower level.” Extremely unprofessional! She made my daughter uncomfortable and she does not ever want to return. I spoke to the receptionist and the owner (Susan pascale) who defended her and suggested moving my daughter down a level to a different teacher to try and remedy the situation. Come to find out Jamie Pascale is also one of the owners and the sister of Susan. I will never return here.

My 14 month old son is a little scarred from classes here...before we started he was fairly neutral about water, now, a few months later, he is terrified to even be in the bath. The instructors are a bit dismissive of how the children are feeling about the water and a bit more preoccupied with sticking to the thirty minute time block and doing their routines, which is ok, I guess...but the way I see it, for young babies, this experience is building their relationship with water and it matters whether or not the experience is positive.

Really missing my weekly routine during this closure. PODS is a super organized and well run operation. The lap lanes are pre-booked to avoid over-crowding. The facility implicitly follows Covid guidelines by separating the lanes with plexiglass, lysoling the swim equipment, and providing a make shift changing station while the locker rooms are closed. Also, the I've noticed that the swim instructors wear PPE while teaching. I completely trust this facility with their members' safety and I am looking forward to returning.

The place is awesome, the teachers are great but the front desk support not so good! I was very happy and satisfied when I found pod swimming. I'm from Brazil and the teaching methodology of pod swimming is very similar to the Brazilian way of teaching how to swim. I enrolled my 6 year old son for summer classes and I really liked it! I asked during the whole summer when it would be time to register for the fall and winter and had the answer that it would be in the first week of September. I was told to go online and enroll him. I enrolled my son online and received a call that my son could not be in that class because he was not ready yet. I am very disappointed with the front desk service. They told me that was no more spots left and the front desk lady told me that I was supposed to check everyday on the website for a possible opening. πŸ˜’ Come on.... Who does that!!! My son was progressing a lot and now everything is being interrupted because the pod swimming staff is very disorganized and does not provide the necessary support to their customers. They should just enroll the kids on the front desk to make parents life easier.

Couldn't be happier with Pods Swimming Lessons. Our son has been going there for a few months now and the level of improvement is astounding. He is two years old for reference.

We live in Warwick and were initially going a local swim class but never felt we were getting anything from it. Just singing and splashing. The drive to E.P. is worth it for us.

The very first class here, our son was crying and throwing a fit - the instructors were so patient and comforting. He eventually got over it the next few weeks and now actively participates in every segment. Even though there are more kids in the classes, you still get a personalized experience and specific tips for you kid.

He looks forward to it and hurries us up on Saturdays to get to class! Thank you PODS!

I've hesitated to write this review, but feel it may prevent a similar occurrence.. Our son has a fear of swimming. We enrolled him at Pods to give him confidence in the water. We were so hopeful from all the good reviews. But his first class did not go well, for him or for me (his mother). His teacher was a young girl, who seemed unimpressed with working with young children. No smile. She had little patience or compassion, and without much of an introduction of herself, forced our son into the water, against his nervous pleas to wait on the side until he was comfortable. She pulled a shy, scared little boy in, without more than 3 minutes of class time, into a perfect strangers arms, in deep water. He was bravely fighting tears, watching me through the viewing window. I had to step out, as I did not want him to see me crying. My husband spoke to the woman in charge, and she did come over to speak to me, as well as to go in and check on our son. But she was very business-like, and despite my explanation of his fear, she said that in order to attain the results we "were looking for", this was the way they do things. The results we were looking for were for him to enjoy the water, have less fear of it, have positive social interactions, and to in time learn how to swim. This is not at all what we received from Pods. It felt more like a swim class factory, where there is an expectation to rush and get quick results. Granted, Pods seems to be a great fit for many families, but It was not at all a good fit for ours. We did not return again after this experience. We explained it was not right for us, and cancelled the class. We were not given a full refund.

Can't believe people say this place is great- they use floating frames for the young kids now, it's awful! The whole reason I went there was to avoid floating devices. They also use wetsuits for "buoyancy" but my son could barely move himself in the water and started to hate it. While the instructor was lovely I did not feel the money was worth it or that she was paying attention to my child's needs in the class. It's a crowded, rushed experience and definitely not a place I liked!

Pods is a great place to learn how to swim at any stage. My oldest has been going to Pods since he was a year old and my youngest since he was 6 months old. Both kids enjoy going and have learned so many skills over the years.
Due to scheduling conflicts my youngest switched teachers 6 months in to lessons. I was hesitant about starting with a new teacher but after the first class with Marguerite, I really came to enjoy her techniques on how to teach toddlers to swim. My son loves her class! He always has a big smile coming up from the water after diving to the bottom for rings...and he is not even 2 yet! Only negative about Pods is the parking lot is quite small so sometimes we park on the street. But to see my kids smile at the end of their lessons, I think it's worth it!

We have had a great experience at PODs from the start. My older son, who is now 4, started at about 2 years old. He is a very cautious kid and has always been nervous about swimming but his teachers at PODS have built strong, trusting relationships with him, and he has done great! My younger son started at about 16 months and has loved every single class.
When my older son started pre-K, we were unable to find a class at PODS that worked with his schedule, so we switched to another local swim school. That was when we realized just how special a place PODS is. The other school was a decent facility and the staff were kind, but they simply were not as skilled in building relationships or teaching. (On a side note, the water and air temperature at PODS are always comfortable; this was not the case at the other school.) We gave it several weeks, but things were not improving, and we are so happy that Jaime was able to find a spot for both our boys. We drive from Warwick to East Providence twice on Mondays (because those were the only classes available), and it is 100% worth it.
PODS has top-quality swim instruction from top-quality, well-trained teachers. They not only know how to teach swimming, but they know how to teach kids.

The staff at PODS is top notch, professional, experienced, capable as well as friendly and caring when it working with the kids I'm the pool with lessons. This new modern facility is nice and clean and safe with a smaller warmer pool for infants and toddlers with a regular size 25 yes lap pool with 6 lanes that is fantastic for adults and older kids.

When I started my child in swim lessons at PODS almost 2 years ago I was nervous and skeptical. I had the child who was petrified of even standing in a toddler pool outside. His instructors from the beginning have been supportive while also being appropriately firm, encouraging him to continue to progress in a way that has made him feel comfortable and confident. The child who, quite literally, sat on my head for his first two classes to stay out of the water is now able to float on his back on his own, travel underwater on his own from the pool wall to the platform, kick to the surface, and pull himself out of the pool. In other words he is able to keep himself safe enough that were he to fall into a pool we would have time to get him out. The emphasis on safety skills is notable in everything they teach in their classes, which is so appreciated when your child spends time on a grandparent’s boat regularly. I am so thankful that we decided to take a gamble on bringing our child to PODS.

We used to swim with Pods, and thought they were great. But let me tell you - their "success" has gone to their heads. One of the owners, Jamie, is rude and unhelpful on her best day...a sentiment widely known by the parents who both do or do not choose Pods. Their new continuous enrollment ensures that there's little opportunity to get into classes that are booked up. And, good forbid you take your kids elsewhere and try to get them back in, they ask you to jump through hoops proving that they are actually ready - hoops that can only be scheduled during school hours. No thanks, Pods. This family has had enough of your airs

Great facilities, great coaches . My son loves going to swim every week and is really progressing. Self management of classes is a huge bonus.

Only thing that could be better is more parking/changing stalls or surfaces. It can get crowded on weekends.

Love this Swim School! Our 2.5yr old has been swimming at Pods for a few months now and I can't say anything but great things about this facility. Even though the changing rooms can get a bit chaotic (but that comes with the territory when you have alot of children in one place). The facility is otherwise clean and I like the fact I can sit back and relax and watch my son and his father in the water. His instructor, Jenna, is awesome! She's really great with my son who doesn't speak yet and utilizes sign language with him (which is how he communicates). His swim skills are improving every month and we are definitely glad we found this swim center. Highly recommend!

My oldest daughter has been swimming with Pods since she was 5.5 months of age. She has learned so much and feels completely comfortable in the water. Now she is almost 3 years old and still loves it as she looks forward to each class. Jenna has been her instructor from the beginning who is an absolute gem. She's so patient and understands children and how to manage their behaviors and personalities. That's something only experience can perfect.

The small classes are great because each child is able to get the attention they need to excel.

If I had to mention ANY negatives, it would be that the pitch in the shower area is not constructed correctly so the water from the showers will settle on the floor instead of being directed down the drain. This is of no fault of Pod's of course and manageable for everyone although it can make the floors slippery. Fortunately, they keep rubber mats on the floor to prevent from any accidents happening.

I do wish there was a towel rack on the wall near the showers so after the parents are done showering their little ones, we can grab our hung towel and go.

All in all though, Pod's gets a 5 star review from me. Next week my daughter starts the next class up with a new instructor (without me in the water - hooray!) and I hope the experience will go just as well as it has been thus far.

Thanks Pods !

The facility is nice but the parking lot is atrocious. It can get over crowded easily and you spend more time looking and waiting for a spot than actually swimming.

It's small group for each group size vs a large setting such as YMCA. The instructors do such an amazing job! They have learned so much in just a month. The best part is the kids look forward to going as they have a blast.

Highly recommend Pods! My 4yo has been taking lessons since she was 2yo. She can now swim independently without a floaty. She’s confident in the pool and knows what is safe in the pool and what isn’t. She has learned how to roll to her back to catch her breath or if she needs to rest and can’t get to the wall. The teachers are kind, warm, and welcoming. They are wonderful with the kids. The class sizes are small. The facility is beautiful and the pool is vey warm.

PSA about Pods Swimming β€” My son slipped and fell there last week because their dressing rooms are notoriously slippery and always wet! This is what happened to his face when he fell. Thankfully, nothing is fractured but I cannot tell you how rude the owner of Pods Swimming was to me when I complained about how slippery the floors always are. Please note, I was not asking for a refund or any kind of monetary compensation! I was just asking that they would consider putting rubber grate/mats on the floor to let the water seep through and prevent people from slipping. She repeatedly told me that wasn’t required per the floor manufacturer or the contractor that installed it. She then said she knows its slippery and they have constantly complained about it to the contractor that built the place, but there is nothing more they can do about it other than clean it and squeegee it. According to her, they squeegee the dressing room floors β€œaround the clock” but then when I said I have never seen anyone squeegee it in all the times I have been there, she admitted that they are not allowed to squeegee it if anyone is in the dressing rooms. When you have 50+ students rotating in and out of your building for 30 minute classes at a time, the locker room is never empty! That’s why it is always wet and always extremely slippery! Clearly the safety of their clientele (and I’ve been a paying customer there for more than 4 years) is not their utmost priority. She then proceeded to tell me that she would cancel all of my son's upcoming swim classes since I had the nerve to leave negative feedback on their Facebook page! Mind you, my Facebook feedback said that the swim instructors are great but unfortunately the facility is slippery and dangerous and they are doing little to mitigate the problem! I honestly can’t imagine any business owner being this ignorant and rude and responding this way to a very valid concern!

The staff is amazing and knowledgeable. My daughter started lessons when she was 10 months old and I have seen the progress. She's not afraid of water and loves bath time even more. The pools are heated and the changing rooms and showers are modern and clean. When juggling kids and schedules they even have a small snack bar and play area toys. So it is very family friendly.
