I have been going to PPY consistently since 2016 and it is my favorite studio in Providence. All the teachers truly care about their student's experiences, and it is clear how much time, effort, energy, and devotion the teachers put into the studio and the relationships with their students. There's a little bit of everything for everyone- sculpt, hot, cool, slow, fast, mindfulness, meditation, good music, body alignment and education- there is a wealth of knowledge! Thank you for being such a wonderful studio.

PPY is my haPPY place! The studio is always spotless and the people and staff are welcoming and friendly. I have never been consistent with exercising, but within my first year at PPY I completed 200 classes. I always feel better when I leave than when I walked in.

I was never a yoga person, but after taking a few lunch classes w friends with Robin I was hooked. It feels like a second home and everyone is so welcoming. Whether I want to go get my butt kicked or lay on the floor for an hour PPY does it all. Robin especially has taught me so much and yet doesn't take it all too seriously which is the best balance I can imagine. I could not recommend enough.

I recently attended a Vinyasa flow class at this studio, and I have to say, itβs a great space! The atmosphere is welcoming and the energy is uplifting, making it a perfect environment for yoga practice. The flow was well-structured, and I appreciated the variety of poses we explored throughout the session.
However, I did find myself wishing for a bit more personal attention in terms of adjustments. While the instructor was knowledgeable and led the class with enthusiasm, I felt that a few more hands-on adjustments could have really enhanced my experience and helped me refine my alignment.
Overall, it's a fantastic studio that I would recommend to anyone looking to deepen their practice. I just hope to receive a bit more individualized guidance during my next visit.

Absolutely love these yoga classes! The instructors here are some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet. They make you feel so welcome from the moment you walk in, and their positive vibes are contagious. No matter your level, theyβre always there with a smile, ready to guide you with patience and encouragement. The management is just as amazingβeverything is organized, and they really go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. I was hit on by an instructor. When I said I needed space she cried uncontrollably the whole class and I felt bad but confused. I questioned her about what was going on she threw me under the bus and then other instructors started bullying me. I even brought my friend to class and she hit on both of us in front of a other instructor brought in to supervise and bully me. I felt disrespected and emotionally intimated. I quit due to abusive instructors and expect to be character assasinated here public needs to know how operate though.

PPY has my soul. I love Shannah and Caroline esp!! Been going since the og location and the new studio is beautiful! Very new and lofty, with a relaxing atmosphere and zenfulness all around. Not to mention the classes here are my favorite - phenomenal instruction, thoughtful flow, and really taught me how to be stronger both mind and body. I love PPY! Also the core power is an amazing workout to add on to everything else.

I love PPY! The warm and friendly atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. I like to come early and have a tea before class. The classes are accessable to all skill levels and all of the teachers great, each with their own style and approach to yoga. PPY has been my home studio for years. It's a warm, welcoming place, and PPY offers the best yoga instruction in the area. Teachers here are knowledgeable, thoughtful and always well-prepared---it's really the quality of the teaching that takes this studio to the next level. Plus, PPY offers something for everyone. The teachers are of the highest caliber - supporting both the physical and mental aspects of yoga equally and beautifully. The flows and transitions are thoughtful and clever. The music and mantras support strong mental health. JoEllen, Robin and Shannah especially shine and every teacher and class has been fantastic.
This practice is also the most flexible I've ever seen, offering a range of times, options, and prices to be inclusive of everyone and every schedule. I rave about Providence Power Yoga constantly and with good reason. You are all amazing!

Hey there! I've been attending classes here for the last few years and I wanted to take some time to share with others on how much of a wonderful establishment these studios are. You're greeted by their staff before the door even finishes opening, and everybody there is so friendly. Clean and professional, Providence Power Yoga (PPY) has always been a wonderful addition to my day and I always feel like i've learned something new and useful. There's a wide variety of classes to choose from, and they range all the way from mindful and relaxing, to vigorous and high energy. I take a lot of Caroline's classes, and it's impressive to me with how much time and research she puts into each individual class. Her classes are all innovative, fun, healing, interactive, and you'll never have the same class twice. I'm in the restaurant business, so i'm on my feet all day picking up things I shouldn't be picking up, and climbing up things that aren't really climbable....but I climb them anyway. This studio has helped me better understand back, neck, and feet pain, and how to help myself fix them. If you're shopping around for yoga studios, I can say with confidence that they're the best studio around, and absolutely worth the prices. Dude...this place totally rocks and i'm SO happy I found it.

I LOVE PPY! I have been a member at Providence Power Yoga for several years now... The new studio on Eddy Street is lovely: clean, spacious and supplied with necessities and niceties... gear cubbies, a tea kettle and tea, body wipes and other sanitary products, mat storage for members. Best of all, though, is the wonderful staff, from the owner, JoEllen, through to desk managers and the teachers. So many good teachers... I can't say who is my "favourite..." That would be like choosing one's favourite child. They are all wonderful.
Beyond the studio, JoEllen is generous and community minded. She offers free outdoor yoga classes to the community all summer. She provides donation-only classes, the proceeds of which go to worthy community organizations.
Try PPY!

Happiest week since March 2020 as I returned to studio practice @PPY365. PPY Zoom and OnDemand has kept me sane during the pandemic. Now it is time to venture back in person! PPY is a lovely place. I have experienced both in person and virtual classes and both versions are wonderful. Both sculpt and the general yoga classes are awesome. Thanks PPY for being a light in my day!

I purchased an 8 card pass here. Shortly after, I became pregnant and placed on bedrest. I was not able to practice. When sharing this with an employee at ppy, I was told there was no expiration date on my passes. After having a c section and being cleared to practice again, covid happened and the studio closed. Tried to come back recently and was told by owner, joellen hockenbrough, that my passes were expired and pretty much βtoo badβ. I told her i can produce a doctors note and obviously when they closed due to covid I shouldnβt be held responsible for that time. She stopped responding to my email. I have already reached out to the FTC and will make sure Social media and all my friends and family know what an unprofessional place this is. I hope people/businessβ like hers fail due to actions/inactions like hers.

Iβve been to many yoga studios and PPY is by far my favorite! The instructors and staff are friendly, helpful and SO talented! I work in the fitness industry so itβs very hard for me to get to the βpopularβ class times because Iβm usually teaching at those times (I own a barre studio). I love variety of class times on the schedule. Especially the night owl classes! Having those on the schedule ensures that I can make it to class. I do wish the Monday and Wednesday night owl classes would come back though :) but Iβm grateful for the Tuesday and Thursday times! Iβm still pretty new to the studio but since Iβve started, Iβve been coming to 4-5 classes a week because I love it so much! I love how each instructor does something a little different each class/week, but while following a similar format so youβre never left βwonderingβ. I canβt say enough good things about PPY and have been and will continue to recommend to others!

I haven't been to a yoga class in 4 years, and before that, I always did guided yoga classes on youtube. It felt so great to be in a classroom and in a space to relax. Not to mention, as a pregnant woman in a Vinyasa class, the instructor was able to provide me with alternative poses to make room for the belly, it made me feel so welcome. Thereβs a huge range in the type of classes you can take. From Slow, meditative classes in the annex with Islay or working your @ off in hot sculpt with Michelle.
There are three (and I think soon to be four) locations that are all included in the unlimited pass. There are tons of different teachers and different styles available so if you donβt like a class you can always try someone new.
The unlimited class is really unlimited. I started as a complete beginner and went to about 50 classes in the last 19 days (not recommended but I wanted to really try every class available) and I loved almost every one.
They have an ok sized parking lot on Bassett (if there is a waitlisted class, youβll need to park at a meter in the street) There are more spaces to park at the East location.
On week days they usually start classes at 5:30am (which I thought was ridiculous originally but) those are my favorite to get to right before work and there is a Night Owls class that ends at 9:45pm so you can take a class at almost any time, even on your lunch break for only $5.
They have Boxed Water for sale and you can rent or buy everything there (like mats or supplies) The front desk is pretty helpful as well.
If youβre looking to try yoga, I would definitely recommend PPY.

Beyond, each instructor offers something just a little bit different - be it more instruction on the mind/body connection, a more eclectic song list and/or a more physical practice - this variety makes each and every class an experience (versus a task). I learn something new about myself after every class and couldnβt be more grateful to be part of such a special, talented community!

Very clean and courteous people. Not like many clubs that are privately run militantly. Our instructor was as personable as a person could be. I was surprised and not ready for that though, I was very late to class, GPS mess missed a turn and well blah blah blah My fault. I would go again and again. The decor says that every inch was thought of and it all works.

Nice variety of classes. I enjoyed the studio theming the Yamas and Niyamas and seeing it displayed throughout the studio. I always purchase something from your retail when I'm in town visiting. Teachers seem to want to "teach something" to the students, thumbs up. My go to studio when visiting Warwick/Providence area.

I love everything. The instructors are so warm... Sonig Doran Schiller, Danielle Voight, Alison Gorman, Robin Hashway, and Joanne Pool are my personal favorites, though the others I've had the pleasure of practicing with have been great also. My "favorites" are especially great at making everyone feel so welcomed into the space. I love the beautiful readings each of them do at the closing of their class and the spiritual focus they exemplify as people and in their teaching style.
The studio is always clean and smells amazing. It never has a "gym" smell even though people sweat a LOT with the heated room and intense practice.
You are doing a great job and a great service for the community! I'm very grateful to be a part of it! Namaste!
