I love Rare Form Pilates, The space is beautiful, clean, and warm, what an amazing part of our Providence community. Laura is very knowledgeable and has so much experience, she trained me through my pregnancy and postpartum journey when I was having a lot of difficulty, I owe my recovery to her!

The instructors are so knowledgeable and thoughtful in how they teach. The studio itself is beautiful, peaceful, and always feels like a calm escape from the busyness of the day. The Gratz equipment is top quality and makes a big difference in the experience. But what really stands out is the community—it’s warm, welcoming, and supportive.

Stay away from this place. Class sizes are small. If you’re new you will not be welcomed. Felt very uncomfortable.

What a find! Gorgeous studio. I’m new to Pilates and was intimidated to try- this is an incredibly welcoming place to learn about strength and your own body. Laura was so knowledgable and also just good vibes. I’m hooked.

Had a great experience taking the Sunday 9A Pilates class here with a friend while we were in Providence for the weekend. The studio space is bright and welcoming and our instructor (Andi) gave helpful and encouraging cues throughout class.

Rare Form Pilates is the real deal. I’ve had an incredible experience here with Laura (the owner) and her team — they’re not only professional but deeply knowledgeable and truly committed to the practice of Pilates.
What sets this studio apart is the level of attention and intention. Classes are small enough that instructors can make meaningful, real-time adjustments based on how students are moving. It’s not just about being flexible or “looking the part” — it’s about form, alignment, and building true strength and body awareness. That kind of teaching takes serious skill and years of experience — and Laura and her team has both.
On a more personal note, after having my first child via c-section, I was really hoping for a natural birth the second time around — which is not easy to achieve. Laura supported me through my entire pregnancy, helping me feel grounded and confident in my body. My second baby ended up delivering herself — naturally — in just under three hours. I fully believe the work I did with Laura helped make that possible.
If you’re looking for intelligent, thoughtful Pilates instruction with real expertise behind it, this is the place.

The environment was just uncomfortable. Horrible mean high school vibes from the instructor.

Laura guided me through my postpartum period at Rare Form Pilates. Not only was my experience with her gentle, affirming and healing, but being in class with others who were dealing with the same body issues and other new parent life stuff was so helpful. Rare Form is such a beautiful space and Laura’s skills and coaching are the best!

Had such a great experience taking classes here while pregnant. It's hard to find prenatal pilates group classes. Class was challenging and fun with a great atmosphere. Love Laura and her studio!

Beyond amazing studio!! Class sizes are small which make you feel like you’re in a personalized/individual class even when there’s others. Both Laura and Andi are welcoming, kind, and funny. They make you feel like you’ve been part of the studio for years even when it’s your first class. I’ve met a community of wonderful women through Rare Form and have loved working on staying healthy throughout my pregnancy. Couldn’t ask for a better studio to be part of!

The space is stunning - we’ll start there. I’ve had the absolute pleasure of being in a private lesson among friends (read: this is such a treat as I have always been fitness-shy) and Laura’s instruction is clear and concise with an almost ASMR-level calmness in her direction. This studio has made me fall back in love with movement, and I’m so thrilled to continue to grow and develop in my personal pilates skill through attending classes at Rare Form.
