I've loved my experience at Spartan Fitness 360! The coaches are knowledgeable, friendly, help push and motivate you and help guide on form to prevent injuries. I've worked privately with a few coaches to work on specific skills, and it was really beneficial to my training. The gym has become such a great community in my life and I look forward to going there every day. Not to mention, the workouts are great and the progress I've made has been awesome!

ok - I have been a road warrior this winter traveling up and down the east coast and got a better Idea of what other boxes offer. I came home to Spartan Fitness 360 again - and I prefer it over all the other places I have gone. Great programming, great people, and I like they way they run the connect everyone who goes there - If you are in the neighborhood- I will see you there.

This gym has completely changed my views on almost everything CrossFit related. I think one of the things that kept me from joining for so long was my inexperience with strength training and lifting in general. I thought that my lack of experience with weights and knowledge of terms would make me feel stupid or out of place; I actually thought I needed to train to get in shape before I ever stepped foot in this place. I couldn't have been more wrong.
I had a friend who wanted to test it out during their "bring a friend" Saturdays in January, and even though she overslept, I still attended. Regardless of my starting point, I couldn't have felt more comfortable. The coaches and the other members make you feel like you've been going to the gym for ages. Not once did I feel insecure about where I was at in regards to the workout of the day. The journey is your own, and it's about your own personal progress.
Each class starts off with a general introduction, an introduction to everyone in attendance for the class, and then an overview of the workout. One of my biggest fears joining was not knowing what the terms were for all the exercises... If you join in this fear... I'm telling you now, dismiss it. The coaches do a basic walkthrough and then they demonstrate each and every technical move of the workout. They'll talk it out, demonstrate with weight, demonstrate in a slow motion, to a full motion. and repeatedly until everyone agrees that they understand. Even after going multiple times now, the reminder of technique is always a helpful thing to go through and keep in your mind.
After a basic warm-up, you head into the workout they previously described. Again, this was still something I was nervous about, but these coaches walk around the entire workout, critique you on points that you're doing well, points you can work on, and help answer any question you have. They never make you feel dumb for asking about any little thing, and take the time out to really make sure you understand what you should be doing. For example, during my introduction to 'snatches' I kept landing with my feet further apart than I should, and one of the coaches drew with chalk on the ground where my starting location should be, and where I should aim to have my feet end.
It's these little details that don't go unnoticed. The coaches really make you feel comfortable and secure with the exercises, and push you in a positive way to work hard and work your way to being stronger. I've never felt like they were 'just doing their job' they actually have a genuine interest in your progress and your experience, and it shows in their demeanor and you can see it on the faces of all the members that they would agree.
On top of all of the above, this gym really takes on the community aspect of the area. The members really care about each other, and really support each others accomplishments; and even engage in a lot of social gatherings outside the gym. [And with that support, they have also started charity-check-ins; which they choose a charity each month, and for any check-in, they donate money towards a chosen charity.]
There's really so many good things I could say about my experience here. It's unlike any other gym or CrossFit I have been to. If you had asked me a year ago if I would have even thought about trying the CrossFit open workouts, I would have called you crazy... yet here I am the night after completing my first one. I felt awesome at the end of it, and the coaches were right there along the way cheering me on, and high-fiving me congratulations at the end.
If you're looking for a change-up in gyms, at a decent price [seriously worth every penny, without even breaking your bank account], with personal attention even in a group setting, this is definitely the place for you! Aroo!!
Perfect for ALL ages, Male or Female, and ALL experience levels!
Side note: they even do a kids fitness program! And they offer one-on-one training sessions!
