This was my first yoga class at The Woods, and my first yoga class in many years — and it couldn’t have been a better experience! The instructor was amazing: encouraging, uplifting, and attentive to everyone in the room. The energy was peaceful, and the calm, relaxing atmosphere made it easy to settle in and reconnect with my practice. I left feeling refreshed and inspired. I can’t wait to go back!

I was visiting from out of town and took a Power(ful) Vinyasa class with Pam who was subbing for Anthony. Pam was welcoming from the start, asked if I had ever practiced yoga before and described the class I had signed up for. She had great energy and was encouraging throughout classes. It was a challenging class but offered options for all levels of practitioners to modify as needed. I am a yoga teacher and these are all the qualities I look for when finding a place to practice yoga. I will definitely be coming back to The Woods Yoga when I visit RI again.

As someone who kept postponing their workouts and finding some form of movement my body so desperately needed I am beyond happy to have found the woods.
From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth, kindness, and zero judgment. The space is calm, inviting, and filled with a kind of quiet energy that immediately puts you at ease.
Shout out to Nelia at the front desk she is incredible!! Seriously impressed by her ability to remember each client, she has been so supportive, kind and welcoming- I first planned to check out different yoga studios around me but Nel has fully sold me on the woods!
If you’ve ever felt intimidated by fitness spaces or thought yoga “wasn’t for you,” give this place a try you will not regret it, the instructors provide modifications and encourage you to listen to your body- with a variety of classes and instructors there really is something for everyone at every level.

Loved yoga this AM. Talia who taught the class, is amazing! No matter what level of yoga you are, she always shows modifications to moves so everyone can attend class. I love the visualization in beginning of class , to poem read at end of class. When I attend yoga class, the hour class I use to become present and in the moment of oneness, love, peace, movement, releasing. I would recommend taking a class at The Woods Yoga Studio. Everyone is friendly and make you feel like at home.

Great studio with fantastic staff. Started out with Anthony with some private sessions to regain some strength and mobility. He is a fantastic coach for your personal training needs with a total ability to understand your weak points, yoga instructor and last but not least kettlebell “guru”. Then complimented my week with some yoga classes and kettlebell workouts. All wonderful instructors and staff across the board. Great place to be with good community.

My Sunday Funday begins with Anthony's "Sunday Over Easy" class. I would like to add I think it is more of Hard Boiled class but thats my perspective lol. This class has been a Sunday routine for me for probably going on two years now. I don't have a ton of prior yoga experience but this class all though it feels hard at times it is 100% for EVERY BODY!! You can easily modify every move and Anthony will guide in doing so. I have dropped in to many other studios and classes, coming back home to The Woods on Sundays after I have been out of town is always priority. The studio is so welcoming, clean and cozy. I have attended some of the yin and slower flow classes as well and those have been extremely enjoyable as well. Anthony's Sunday class just really resets me and prepares me for any and all things in my upcoming week.

Me and my roommate were initially hopeful about The Woods Yoga. My roommate had gifted me for my birthday the $14 for 14 day summer package! Our first class was okay, and the second started off well—they even gave a birthday shout-out, which was thoughtful. But by day three, the experience took a sharp turn.
My roommate and I have been practicing yoga for months and are comfortable with more advanced variations. During the flow, we began incorporating some of those movements quietly and respectfully. Instead of encouraging or guiding us, the instructor made a passive-aggressive remark in front of the class: “You’re not here to push yourself, you’re not here to impress anyone, and you can raise your hand if you are here for that.” It was uncomfortable, condescending, and completely uncalled for.
Also worth noting: despite being advertised as a heated studio, the room was never actually hot. The temperature didn’t match the expectations of a heated practice at all.
And for what you’re paying—it’s very expensive for what’s offered—we expected a more supportive, welcoming environment. The energy shifted after that comment, and we never returned. Yoga should be a space for growth and personal expression, not one where you feel policed or embarrassed for safely advancing your own practice.I

I always drove by The Woods Yoga studio during my daily commute—it’s just six minutes from where I live. I knew nothing about yoga and honestly wasn’t interested. That all changed when I started noticing a gradual but significant loss of movement in my right hip. It got to the point where I couldn’t even tie my right shoe normally without carefully positioning my body. Eventually, I found out I needed hip replacement surgery.
Around that same time, I was introduced to The Woods Yoga—and it has truly changed my life.
Christine and Anthony, the owners, along with the entire staff and instructors, are incredibly welcoming and supportive. Even as a complete beginner, they took the time to connect with me and guide me through each step. Over time, I’ve come to depend on my yoga sessions not only for the workout and stretching but for something even more meaningful: the sense of community, mindfulness, and presence that they bring into my life.
Through yoga, I was introduced to breathwork and meditation, which I’ve started practicing at home. That led me to explore more about mindfulness, including reading several books on the topic. I know I still have a long way to go on my spiritual journey, and while I sometimes stumble, my sessions at The Woods help re-center me and keep me moving forward.
The studio offers a wide range of classes and workshops—something for everyone. They have beginner-friendly yoga, a Saturday kettlebell class, and the highlight of the week: their signature “Sunday Over Easy” class. That class weaves together breathwork, stretching, mindfulness, sound, and a strong sense of community—it’s really something special.
I also want to give a special shout-out to one of the instructors, Talia. I try to attend her classes at least twice a week. If I miss one, I genuinely feel like something’s off. These days, I’m usually at the studio three times a week—twice for Talia’s classes and once for Anthony’s Sunday session.
The studio is always clean, well-stocked, and filled with kind people. It even has saunas! The space is cozy, but everything just works. It’s truly a special place, and I’m so glad I found it.
Highly recommended.

I enrolled in a class called Yoga for Newbies, and I can confidently say it was one of the best decisions I've made for myself in a long time. Initially, I was unsure about what to expect. I was hesitant due to my past experiences with yoga, which I had avoided for various reasons, including religious beliefs and physical limitations.
From the moment I stepped into the studio, everything changed. Anthony, our instructor, redefined my understanding of yoga. He presented it in a way that was completely opposite to my preconceived notions. His philosophy, that yoga is “whatever your body can do,” was life-changing. The way he teaches is infused with passion and respect for the practice, creating an environment that encourages you to explore your limits without judgment. And he will STRONGLY ENCOURAGE you to explore your limits, without judgment of course. His assistant Jenna also reminded us that “blocks are your friends.” Watching her with over 20 plus years of yoga experience using blocks was truly incredible. As Anthony says, “ leave your ego at the door.”
I quickly discovered that this studio is a sanctuary . Anthony would remind us to “lay it all on the mat.” I guarantee you will leave feeling better than when you arrived. The atmosphere is welcoming and uplifting, starting with Nelly, the first person you encounter. Her instant smile and vibrant personality makes you feel amazing about yourself as soon as you walk in.
Anthony’s instruction is nothing short of enlightening. Even if you have no prior yoga experience, I urge you to take his class. He masterfully demonstrates how each move can be modified, which was astonishing to me. Literally, any move ! His guidance on balance and body awareness has been transformative for me . This five-week course has awakened a newfound love and respect for yoga within me.
I now view yoga as a holistic practice that encompasses the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of life. It offers a unique opportunity to leave your worries on the mat. As someone who struggles with being present due to a busy lifestyle, Anthony’s teachings have helped me embrace the moment, becoming more mindful in my life.
Yoga for newbies was more than just a physical practice. We gathered in groups to discuss various topics, and Anthony would divide us into small groups to explore specific questions. I don’t want to go into too much detail because I want you to experience it yourself! It created a sense of connection and unity, allowing us to appreciate different perspectives. I got to know others in the studio, which was genuinely enjoyable. I also want to emphasize the body positivity that radiates within that space. Anthony taught me the importance of “keeping your eyes on your own mat,” reminding me that no one is focused on what I’m doing, everyone is concentrating on their own journey, which was something I really needed to hear.
I encourage everyone to experience this illuminating journey at the studio. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some yoga experience, this class will enhance your understanding and appreciation of the practice. Yoga for Newbies has truly been a gift to my life, and I can't recommend it enough!

I can't say enough good things about this place. A very welcoming atmosphere with instructors who really know what they are doing. A very unique yoga studio that in addition to numerous styles of yoga they also offer kettlebell training 3 days a week from one of the best instructors around in Anthony DiGuglio. Anthony was one of Pavel Tsatsouline's first students and has a fountain of knowledge to share. If I had known he was in my backyard the whole time I would have joined a lot sooner.

A great class today led by Anthony.
His soothing voice explains the “how and why” of the shapes and breathing we practiced.
No matter what level or head-space I’m in, we are always encouraged to move at our own pace.
Thank you!

This was my first Power(full) Vinyasa class back in the studio after a long break. I did Anthony's 4 part Yoga for Newbies as a re-introduction and was able to use his wisdom and techniques from that experience to really make today's class work for me using props and modifications as needed. When the rhythm of the movements and breath work merged together so everything else disappeared as I felt the flow, it was amazing and that's what I've been missing. Thank you Anthony! Magical!

I was pretty disappointed in the kettlebell class. Before committing to a monthly membership, I wanted to try a drop in kettlebell class. I spent $22 for the class. There was no instructor- he left. Instead, I was given a piece of paper with 12 exercises and told to go through it and do each kettlebell exercise. When done I just repeat for an entire hour. Instead of wasting my gas to drive there and spending $22 for this class, I could’ve stayed home and in found a YouTube kettlebell workout to do on my own.

This place has had a massive impact on my life. Anthony is a fantastic human being his classes are incredible especially the Sunday class and kettlebell cardio. His nuggets of wisdom have resonance and have helped me physically, mentally and spiritually. Christine is so warm and welcoming and really cultivates a sense of community. Talia is an amazing instructor. Her direction is very clear and concise and she makes it easy to follow along with the poses even if you’re a beginner like me. She has a really positive presence that makes you feel comfortable trying whatever poses she throws at you (I strongly dislike dolphin) . If you’re looking for the best yoga studio this place is it.

I participated in the gentle yoga/meditation class that was led by Torie Gehlmeyer.
It was a quality experience from beginning to end. Her personality is engaging and playful and she made everyone feel very comfortable throughout the class, occasionally checking in to make sure the movements were being carried out correctly.
Torie has a lovely sense of humor and an appreciable knowledge of healing work via several yoga modalities ; herbalism; meditation and astrology.
Her music selections and the fluidity of her poses were amazing. With breathwork throughout and a very positive and introspective meditation to finish, I felt sated/ relaxed/ peaceful…
My deepest gratitude to The Woods vibes and a heartfelt thank you and shout out to Torie for indelibly etching such a wonderful experience into my heart. 🤍

After suffering through many accidents and having had to rehabilitate myself through all on these really bad injuries throughout my life, I have always fallen back to my yoga practice. I was really searching to find a yoga community that was supportive and interactive, in addition to the level of yoga that I have trained at since my teens and a level I knew would help me recover.
What I have found is exactly that and more at the Woods Yoga. The classes range from relaxing Yin Yoga to challenging Vinyasa Flow classes. I love the range of classes offered. I am so impressed that the classes offered accommodate any skill level. I was immediately hooked by the class Sundays Over Easy, which not just pushes you to that edge we all have physically but provides intense relaxation together in one class.
Through the summer, the Yoga in the Woods, at Lincoln Woods (free with the sole purpose of getting more people to do more yoga) is such an incredible way to kick off a beautiful and peaceful weekend outside in nature.
My involvement in the Woods Yoga community has not just increased strength in my practice but also strength in my own self worth. I highly recommend taking any of the classes offered. The quality of the class and the instructors can't be beat.

Just walking into the yoga room at The Woods brings me a sense of peace. There is an indescribable energy of comfort and love that makes me smile each time I practice. No judgement. If I would like to be quiet and Introspective one day - that’s ok. If I want to be chatty and socially connect to others one day - that’s ok. If I want to follow the teachers sequence - that’s great. If I want to follow the beat of my own drum and simply move for my body - that’s great. Just show up - be you! All are welcomed at “The Woods Yoga Studio” ♥️🙏🏽♥️

An absolute amazing place not only for yoga but they have one of the most amazing kettle bell programs ever. I have always wanted to do yoga and I have always wanted to do kettle bell. when I first went there I thought it was just a yoga studio and then I found out that they had kettle bells. I immediately signed up for a class . Having never taken a class I was nervous but not only is Anthony an amazing teacher but everybody there is so helpful …if they see you doing something wrong they help you .Oh I didn’t even get into all the breathing exercises and techniques that you will learn in yoga practice. These techniques help you lower your blood pressure lower your glucose and improve memory. Seriously an absolute game changer and life changer this place.
