I am grateful that I have learned so much from MaryAnn Nassa at Yoga Concepts over the years. She helped me develop a very strong yoga practice and a love for yoga and introduced me to the works of Paramhansa Yogananda..

You will learn more in a single class here than you may get anywhere else. This studio is state of the art and super clean. It encompasses the discipline and expertise of an authentic lineage with the comfort and hygiene of a modern spa. It's worth going out of your way for this place. Especially if you're looking for the real deal Bikram Yoga.

By far the best instruction I have ever had in 13 years of practice. Mary Ann and Donna are the best of the best. I wish I could practice with them every day. If you are new to yoga or a pro, this is the best studio in Rhode Island. Authentic and true Bikram yoga!

Great yoga instruction in a first class studio. I’ve been practicing yoga under the direction of Mary Ann and Donna for several years and it has truly paid off. It doesn’t get any better with their dedication, clean studio, the benefits of far Infrared heat and always great energy throughout each class with motivated fellow students. For those that may be experiencing physical impairments Mary Ann and Donna have introduced adjustments to yoga positions. From my experience, like any form of exercise it takes effort and “great things never come from comfort zones” and the mind and body benefits of this practice pay off!

The address on Google Places is incorrect. The new studio is at 1150 Pontiac Avenue (Rear), in Cranston.
I have been taking yoga classes at Yoga Concepts (at their old location) for six years. I take Bikram classes around the country when I travel, and have also taken hot vinyassa classes. This studio is consistently clean: the carpets do not smell, and the air quality in the space is good.
Mary Ann and Donna, both trained by Bikram himself, are teachers, they do not just recite the memorized monologue. You will be corrected by name if you should be doing a posture differently. They want their students to improve. Not everyone appreciates being publicly corrected during class, but if you can let your ego go, you will see fast improvements in your form and practice. While an individual class may be hard, over the years, my stamina, endurance, and determination have grown immensely.
This studio attracts small business owners, lawyers, nurses, doctors and other professionals in high-stress jobs. Why are they there? Possibly because high-achievers seek new ways to challenge themselves, and this class is consistently challenging and never boring. But also because an intense hour and a half of intense focus is the best relaxation there is.
Yoga Concepts is opening a new studio, and construction delays mean they will be closed for part of the summer of 2013. I am looking forward to resuming my practice in the new space!
