Horrible customer service and building conditions. There’s mold everywhere. There’s a leak where they placed a large trash can to catch the water. The HVAC ducts sweat and might leak on you as well. The conditions of the building should be inspected by the city because I’m certain it’s not safe.

Bought my membership online give me a way to get inside so now I can’t work out due to having to work out at night due to my job and I assume you’re supposed to come in in person to get a QR code so I can go in the door but it is now 11 AM and there’s not a single person here to help me y’all need to make it where you can scan online too. This used to be my favorite gym for the old school atmosphere and good quality machines they had. Yes they were old but they were perfect and worked well. Just now recently they changed every machine to wacky nautilus machines trying to be crunch fitness. They even replaced the hammer strength leg extension which was everyone's favorite. Not to mention ever single metal plate is gone and replaced with rubber ones. Very sad the gym downgraded this badly.

One Star for their Staff. They were sweet. 0 stars for facility. As someone that requires heat therapy after Physical Therapy, the sauna seemed ideal. However, there was no Light and the desk staff did not know when it would be replaced. Seems like something to have on hand in case of failure. Not to mention the safety and security issues. There is no security as the desk is not always manned.

They make it incredibly difficult to cancel your membership. I tried to cancel it at the gym and they said I had to call a third-party servicer. I called the third-party servicer and they said I couldn’t cancel it over the phone after waiting for 30 minutes on hold and going through the process then I had to restart and do it online. My husband a member at the Anderson gym for about 20 months. Generally a good gym except for two big problems. The music over the speakers is very raunchy with sickening foul language, nothing like what the general public would consider listening to. There is also several guys that congregate around weight machines early afternoons using them as a seating area that people can’t use in their workouts.
My husband plans to go to another gym a few blocks away in Anderson if the situation is not resolved soon.

For the yearly price, it's the best bang for the buck. The Staff is very friendly, and helpful. The kids care is employed by staff that are attentive to the children. Been coming as a guest for a while and finally decided it was time I got the membership. The cost for a member is fairly cheap too I got the preferred and it was only $22.99 a month, better than most if you’re wanting to go to a gym that has everything you need but not get yelled at for lifting heavy or making sounds when you exert yourself for those forced reps. Have lots of heavy weights for you to excel and grow in size. Staff is very friendly and funny, highly suggest anyone to check it out.

They charge around 3 times what other gyms charge. It's very unprofessional environment. There's music with cussing. They fired my coach when I had 9 sessions left and I'll never get that money back. Terrible customer service. They do not care about staff or clients wanting to utilize the gym. Used to be 24/7 but magically Mr Cooper found religion during COVID and decide to change hours even though everyone paid for 24/7 memberships. Most people enjoy working out on Saturday’s due to no time constraints and being off work. Mr Cooper doesn’t care about anyone else religion or beliefs only his own. Continually have fans blowing at the gym even after numerous conversations with management claiming humidity. There is no humidity at 5 am and 32 degrees outside in the winter.

They would not let me cancel my son’s membership after he left for basic training. They said I wasn’t “authorized to make changes to his account”, even though I sent in a copy of his enlistment contract as proof. They would not even put a freeze on the bank drafts until December when he comes home. They can very clearly see there hasn’t been any activity on his account since early September. I highly recommend the Zumba toning class on Monday and Thursday evenings. I don't like the way they do memberships where they take your credit card information upfront then pressure you into giving them your bank account information. If you read the fine print it is also very difficult to cancel your membership. You have to write a certified letter and go through a whole process. It doesn't need to be that difficult, it is clearly a way for the gym to make extra money (although admittedly this is common practice with gym memberships, I still find it to be dishonest).

The membership cancelation process is equally painful as losing a limb. You must call and call and call some financial company that isn't even 10 Star Fitness (apparently they own it) and finally get on the phone with someone and talk for 20 minutes...

to THEN finally email the company and pay a "Buyout Fee" of $60 PLUS you have to pay for a full month after you want to cancel.

So it costs a total of $81.99 to cancel 10 Star Fitness.

As a former member, I did enjoy the gym when I went and the equipment was satisfactory. The problem I encountered was when I needed to cancel my membership. I was told that I have to go through a third party to do so. Once I contacted the third party, I was told that there was a cancelation fee and I would be charged 30 days’ worth of membership. If this was explained to me when I signed up that would not have been an issue but I signed up under a promotion and told that this was a cancel anytime membership, this was one reason why I went with them in the first place as I knew there was a possibility that I would need to make this change. I feel I was lied to and do not appreciate this what so ever. I was a member also back when it was Coop’s and they lost something when they switched cause there was not any of this mess when it was Coop’s.

If I could give no stars, that would have been most accurate. I rarely visited this gym during my year membership due to unforseen issues with scheduling, car issues, and childcare dilemmas. This could have a been a monthly charity payment and I would have benefited more from it. My biggest issue is with the cancellation process. I cancelled with Planet Fitness in less than 5 minutes before, no questions asked, no hassel. This place, has you call another company to get the details on how to cancel. I was told I needed to send a written cancellation request, so I do. It gets "lost" in the mail. So I call this week and ask if I can just email, and they say yes. So I send and email today. They responded with I can cancel when I pay 49.99. I feel like this whole thing is a money siphon. I paid my year up and now, after I honor my contract, they want more money. Or they will send me to collections. I will never sign up for this scam again. And believe me when I say, I will let everyone know what a shaddy place this is!

There's the guy who only ever does chest and crop dusted the hell out of me one time. I almost threw up.

They have the best trainers- the Anderson Ultrafit team. Vernon and Antwan are amazing trainers as well as the other Ultrafit trainers. 10 Star Fitness is a family oriented gym with a very clean children's facility.
