Dropped in for a week. Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. They offer typical CrossFit classes, but they also have a couple of unique concepts as well…a strength class & a cardio, high intensity interval training class. Both of these classes derive from CrossFit with familiar lifts & movements minus the barbell…dumbbells & kettlebell work for strength & boxes, bikes, rowers, jump ropes, etc…for cardio.

So glad I joined! Everyone was very welcoming (staff and members) the coaches were great (especially for someone that didn’t know how to do most things when they walked in)… I’m also very impressed with the focus on safety! Highly recommend to anyone beginners or experts!

I am a 62yo female that has worked out on and off for many years. The instruction, exercise modification and dedication is by far the best that I have ever seen. I feel comfortable every time i walk in to work out.
My bone mass increased by 7% in one year. I have NEVER injured myself while working out at the gym.

By far the best fitness community I have ever been a part of. Megan, Kelly, and Colin all do a fantastic job of pushing you to do your best while also making sure you stay safe and true to form during the workouts. The gym is a great place to learn from and be encouraged by others to keep learning and growing. I have truly enjoyed my progress thus far and can’t wait to keep improving!

This is a great gym with knowledgeable and impressive coaches who really aim to help you perfect your technique & skill set. I would recommend this to anyone no matter the background, fitness level, or age ... very inclusive and fun community !
Update 1 year later: This gym continues to provide high quality programming and training. I have seen several new members from various backgrounds walk through the door and they are always welcomed with open arms. If someone is a beginner, working around an injury, pregnant, or just not feeling 100% in their workout that day, the coaches are always willing to provide scaled options to the movements when needed. I can't speak highly enough of AOCF. I love being a member here!

I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of 3 CrossFit gyms over the past 4 years and Angel Oak is above and beyond the best experience top to bottom. From the first class coaching and instruction to the family vibe community this place has become a home away from home. Not to mention the gains I’ve made in just one year. Just moved to the area and I was anxious about finding a new gym that I'd love as much as my old one, and that would help me get back into a routine after a couple months hiatus. Angel Oak took all my worries away after one class. I've never ventured into CrossFit, but the strength and conditioning classes are a perfect replacement for my old bootcamps. I've been discouraged at how much strength and fitness I've lost over the last few months, but the group at Angel Oak is so supportive and encouraging that it gives me the push I need to power through, even if I sometimes falter. Thanks Angel Oak!!

For years I wanted to try CrossFit, but wasn’t sure what to expect and doubted myself. Those fears immediately went away the moment I stepped into Angel Oak CrossFit. The community is super welcoming and the coaches do a phenomenal job of teaching proper technique and development! There are ample classes and accessory programs to choose from and the level of programming is top notch! No matter what your fitness level or goals are, the coaches at AOCF will help you achieve them and deliver a level of personalization even during group settings. I cannot recommend this box enough!

My wife and I dropped in twice to the 10am class during our week-long vacation on Kiawah Island. We've trained at many Crossfit boxes, and Angel Oak definitely makes our top 3 (maybe top even our top 2). We were treated as if we were regular members, and the owner, Megan, gave us great coaching. It is very obvious that she spends the time to meticulously program all the details to ensure her members progress. If we lived in the area, this would be our spot.

I’m so happy to have found this gym! The classes are great, the trainers are exceptional and the community is welcoming. I feel like I’m getting 1-1 personalized attention in a group setting. The trainers really know their stuff too - classes are always changing so you’re never bored and always challenged and if you have an injury or can’t do a particular exercise, Kelly and Megan will customize your workout for you.
They’re also much more than just a CrossFit gym, which I love. They also have bootcamp classes (my favorite), personal training, professional nutrition coaching, etc. If you’re looking for a community that will make you a healthier human, this is it.

Anyone who already loves Crossfit, will love Angel Oak Crossfit. The coaches are wonderful and understanding and great at what they do. However, I really want to point out the Bootcamp Class offered daily at AOC. If you are person that doesn’t look like a model on a gym poster, loves sweatpants and baggy t-shirts because of what they hide, has small children at home and would just like an hour of no one calling “mommy, mommy, mommy” on repeat, or have never been able to stick with any kind of fitness regimen, then let me encourage you to come get out a boot camp class. Any fitness level would benefit from it, but it’s a fantastic place to start your journey when you’re sitting there thinking it’s impossible for you to begin this habit. Kiddos can stay in their own room where they can see you if they want, but you still have some time to yourself! Bootcamp has certainly been life-changing for me. I have grown in so many areas under Coach Megan and Coach James. They push you to challenge yourself, but it is ALWAYS attainable. My goals are not anyone else’s—they are specific to me. If you are reading this thinking, “I could NEVER!” then I’m talking to you! Just step out of your comfort zone one time and try it. You will not regret it. Sweats are always welcome☺️
