About the Club

We specialize in delivering a health and fitness program for each member of the family. For adults and parents, we offer two different programs. The first is Personal Training which offers a more individualized experience for the client. The second is our Small Group Training. This method of training is unique to the fitness scene, as it allows for a lot of personal attention and coaching without the higher prices of Personal Training. Think 5 members and 1 coach working hard together for 45 minutes.
For youth and teens, we offer multiple fitness, speed & agility, and strength programs.
These programs are designed to build confidence, promote overall health, and become better athletes.

Great location, very clean facility and amazing staff! Coaches are very knowledgeable, the workouts definitely get your heart rate going. A mixture of power and cardio and more importantly a proper warm up session before it all goes down. Arena Athletic Club is exactly what I was looking for when I was searching for a new gym. Each workout is thoughtfully planned to promote strength increases. The small group experience allows for plenty of one-on-one attention, which helps to ensure correct form and to avoid injury. The coaches and clients are motivational and supportive. The workout times are very flexible — they start every 15 minutes! — which takes the stress out of getting into the gym. The gym is also the cleanest I have ever been in. Finally, Arena offers excellent nutrition coaching with Brennen, who will help you reach your goals.

I have always been a pretty healthy, fit guy. But at a point in my life I felt stunted in growth so I knew I needed a gym that would challenge me to push myself and grow in size. I started July 26 2022 at 151 LBs and as I write this review I am 160 LBs. My trainer Jared was exactly the push I needed to grow and push my comfort level and see actual results. I highly recommend Arena Athletic club to anyone looking to improve their fitness. The workouts are efficiently designed and planned over each week so that there is ample focus on strength-building as well as conditioning and cardiovascular endurance training. I love being able to show up to class without having to plan a regimen, count reps, keep myself motivated, etc. but still know I’m getting a well-rounded and effectual workout.

Weekday morning group training classes begin every 15 minutes making it very easy to schedule. Each group size is limited so there is plenty of one-on-one interaction and the coaches keep a close eye on everyone’s form to ensure safety and effectiveness throughout the workout.

The coaches and community are also one-of-a-kind and keep me wanting to come back. I felt embraced and encouraged from the moment I stepped into the gym. The coaches have so much knowledge and keep us all accountable to giving our best each day.

AAC is more than a gym with a bunch of big weights. It is a well written program by our head coach/trainer to develop strength and stamina. I walked in two years ago defeated and with a leg brace recovering from knee surgery. I have always enjoyed exercise but AAC has allowed me to develop strength that shows up in all areas of my real life. Getting in and out of my husband’s hot rods, walking the hills of my kids college campus, and enjoying an active life has become easy. Also, the coaches are protective of their clients. You won’t worry about unwelcome advances or people staring in the mirror all day at this gym. This gym is about developing power and stamina for each individual.

Hands down,best choice i’ve made training at Arena Athletic Club! I want to mention that Jared is an awesome personal trainer! I was coming out of a terrible shoulder injury and was even hesitant to do certain movements/workouts but Jared helped to unlearn some of the stuff and taught me workouts with correct form and technique. It was a great learning experience! I had to move out to another state for work but i miss training at this place! Would definitely recommend this place 10/10

Arena Athletic Club is awesome and I highly recommend it. Having a recent knee surgery, Jason and the other trainers have been instrumental in my recovery and getting back to my active lifestyle. They have crafted specific work outs to not only push my recovery, but to ensure I don’t cause more damage.
As for work out classes they have one on one training and multiple group classes daily. One of the coolest things is the gym is for everyone. One day I might be working out with someone 25 years older than me, and the next 15 years younger.
The facilities are always clean, smelling fresh and the equipment is sanitized after every work out. If you’re looking for a clean, safe and welcoming gym, look no further, Arena Athletic is it.

This place is perfect for me. The format is exactly what I need. The coaches are great and push me to challenge myself but not so much that I don't enjoy the rest of my day.
My favorite thing is walking in the door, turning my brain off, and just doing the workout and listening to the coach. Everything is taken care of for me. I just have to show up and do the work. Love it!

Great place for adults who want a challenging workout but have a tight time schedule. After a 10 min warmup, I join in an excellent 30 min. strength/cardio circuit training workout led by excellent trainers who encourage you to challenge yourself. Trainers customize to meet you at your fitness level. I've been going consistently twice a week for four months. It's a friendly, positive environment.

What I didn't know is that I would love it.

I have been working out at Athlete’s Arena for 8 yrs. I am now 72 yrs old. When I started, I wanted to be able to do a pull-up again. Now I can do 3 sets of 8 with only a 30 second interval. I also do not have a gut anymore. I am in great shape and can do virtually anything I choose to do physically. The thing that really made the difference for me was the personal attention I received from the trainers. I highly recommend Athlete’s Arena to anyone who wants to get in shape or stay that way. They have been great for me.

For the past 3+ yrs. Brunson, (to whom I refer as “Jason Bourne”) has customized my training sessions with a variety of workout routines, increasing in both quality & quantity.

Deadlifts have become a core routine (began about yr. 2) starting w 88 lb. kettlebell squats to a DL 280 lb. max), or variations with lower weight/higher reps.

At 72, physical issues are increasingly evident, but Jason’s “next level“ challenges have resulted in continued strength & conditioning progress. Through accountability, personal training not only benefits me physically but gives me added confidence & motivation, and improves my mental & emotional outlook.

Regardless of age, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO START! Certainly, physical limitations come with age but to accept inactivity only increases potential health problem risks.

Without an athletic background, I was initially anxious about any pre-conceived expectations Jason might have once he agreed to “take me on”. However, he began simply by assessing my physical strengths & weaknesses (as any real personal training professional would do) & we started from there.

The resulting relationship with Columbia’s Athelete’s Arena on Millwood has challenged me to “push the envelope” & overcome perceived fitness limitations.

Where I compare with other men at my age on any fitness scale isn’t as important as the self-evident results from my training. Jason’s training skills, expertise, & experience motivate me to defy the norms. My personal goals are, through his guided instruction, to excel in every exercise & then exceed to the next level.

Driving from the opposite side of town several times a week isn’t always convenient, but the dividends in physical fitness, health & quality of life are well worth it.

Been working with Jason Brunson and Athletes Arena for almost 4 years and could not be happier with my results. What they are able to do for developing athletes is well known. I'm not a young athlete though - I'm a previously 50 lb overweight middle aged female with a very busy lifestyle who struggles to fit it all in. Yesterday this 50 year old 5'1" woman helped push a car out of a parking space up hill. The guy trying to do it before I helped could not get it to budge. He even had me hold the car in place while he walked around to put it in gear to keep it from rolling back into the parking space. Go me! And many thanks to AA for keeping me strong!!
