I have been a member of Basecamp since 2021. I needed structure, which a typical gym does not offer, and Basecamp more than delivers. Every single coach is passionate, happy, and they give great feedback while you are working out. There’s more than enough workouts/rotations that you will never be bored; every day is a new and rewarding challenge. In the typical 35 minute class, I got much more accomplished than I would have spending over an hour in a gym. By body and overall fitness level is night and day compared to where I was 4 years ago. There is nothing better in Columbia than Basecamp!

The coaches are amazing and have your workouts set up for you so you don't have to over think about what your going to do. They also explain in great detail about your movements and offer alternatives if needed. Basecamp is one of my favorite places to exercise. The workouts are super efficient! The classes are 35 minutes, and you burn a ton of calories. I have been a member at Basecamp Fitness since 2021. I have NEVER been consistent about going to the gym, until I found Basecamp. I love their class model, you get a great workout in a relatively short amount of time. There is no guessing or deciding what you need to do, the coaching staff guides you through the whole class. And they are incredible! They are extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and create the most supportive atmosphere while you are in a class. Unlike other fitness classes, there is no yelling or intimidation - only supportive coaches who are there to help you reach your fitness goals. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!

I joined Basecamp back in February, and have really enjoyed being a member. The workouts are super efficient, and the coaches genuinely care about your progress. I’ve never been much of a class-based gym goer, but Basecamp has totally changed my opinion. Fast, fun workouts with great people!

Before last year I was not a worker-outer. Gyms I had tried before were either too intimidating or intense. Basecamp is the first time I have ever felt comfortable and empowered working out. The class is dark, music is loud, AC is on (which is crucial for gals my age), and there are people of every shape, age and fitness level. It works because the instructors are for you. They are really welcoming and genuinely care about everyone that walks in the door. They are great about showing how to intensify or modify your workout based on your needs. I have met the best folks in class too. Really so thankful for this place and these people. Not only has my body strength improved, but I also feel stronger mentally, which is such a win!

Basecamp is my favorite gym in Columbia. My husband and I have been members for over 2 years. I can’t say enough good things about the gym and its people. The coaches are fantastic, always fun and motivating. The owners are great and easy to work with when you need to adjust your membership or have questions. The class times are convenient for any work schedule. I always leave feeling like I’ve gotten a great workout in without having to plan anything. I especially love the mix of cardio, body weight and heavy lifting. Best group workout in Columbia in my opinion. Intense 35 minute workout packed with strength and low impact, full body cardio. Better vibes cannot be find at any other fitness studio- the lights add so much to the space and makes it feel fun! A friend invited me to Basecamp's soft launch in 2021 and I went not expecting to like it much at all. Alternating from bike to weights every minute sounded hectic and awful! But here's the thing, once I figured out the flow it became my favorite workout in Columbia. There's so much variety -generally every round on the floor is different - and you have the opportunity to push yourself as hard (or not hard) as you want. I worked out at Basecamp from the beginning through 38 weeks of pregnancy, and while the coaches would be showing me a modification to make a move easier they'd be handing a heavier weight to the muscled up folks next to me. So there's something for everyone and everyone is so supportive of each other's fitness journeys. Also their playlist are really great, it really elevates the whole experience.

Basecamp is so much more than a great workout! It's a friendly, welcoming team and environment. There is such a variety of head-to-toe workouts, and always a sense of accomplishment upon completion of each class. We leave well-worked and feeling inspired. I originally tried BaseCamp with my daughter because I was looking for a gym where I could get a quick workout that combined both cardio and weight training.
BaseCamp is by far the best! You get an incredible workout, burn an average of 400+ calories and can be in and out in 45 minutes! The atmosphere is positive, upbeat and encouraging. The music is great and the energy and variety of the workouts never disappoint. The trainers and staff are so friendly and welcoming and are always willing to suggest modifications to meet you at your ability.

I have absolutely LOVED working out at Basecamp over the past year. I started taking classes last summer while I was home from college and continue to take classes any chance I can when I am back in town. The classes challenge you to push yourself but also provide numerous options for you to take it at your own pace. The coaches are incredible. It is amazing to watch them not only encourage each individual throughout class, but also personally assist people in perfecting technique or finding alternate moves that better fit their needs based on preference or medical reasons. I have begged for Basecamp to open a studio in Athens, Georgia because I have yet to find any other place that leaves me feeling fulfilled and thrilled to book my class for the next day. Joining Basecamp is one of the best decisions I've made for fitness! The workouts are challenging and the coaches are motivating! The first fitness studio I actually look forward to going to everyday! Other than loving the owners, staff and trainers, I love how strength-based the workouts are mixed in with some good, heart pumping cardio - it's the best of both worlds.
