My kids have been doing gymnastics here for years. One does recreational and the other does team. For your first time you get one class for free so that you can get a feel for the class and the gym. The coaches are kind and lead the girls and boys through conditioning to strengthen their bodies and enhance their skills. They will push them to try again and again to master their skill but won't let them do anything that will risk injury. The girls are competitive but also supportive. The teams help each other and you can hear them chanting names as each one works on their skills. This is the best gym we have been to and I highly suggest to give them a try if you are interested in gymnastics.

My daughter started gymnastics here when she was three. She took some breaks but is on a team now. I have always been impressed with the coaches and it’s a great facility!

My daughter has been going to this gym for 7 years and because of lack of employer who used to work there and thought that my daughter was good enough to moved up to the advance classes, however recently there was a new coach who felt as if my daughter was not good enough to be in the Advance and want to make her go back to the intermediate class. They just now decide that she was not do well after she has been in that Advance classes since 2023. i truly believe that did not want to work with her anymore which is why the removed her from the class and the gym today. Without giving her a chance to improve herself. I am not going to say it was a racism moved, but I will say that the another coach was okay with my daughter until the new coach was there on last night. When your daughter cries herself to sleep about she felt like she was not good enough was all I needed. She will not be bullied and pick on. Another gymnastic class would be glad to have her in their gym.
Please be careful when letting your child attend here make sure the coach are trained and knows what they are doing.

If I could give this place, a half a star, I would.
The only way to make this review is to leave a star, but they don’t deserve that. This place is disorganized unprofessional. There’s no communication they do not let you know what they’re teaching your child. What your child is going to excel to, when they excel to another class?! it’s nothing I’ve had to come to the staff to let them know my child that she is now of age to go to another class because they left her in a preschool class four months. Your child would not learn anything here. Do not let your child go to this gym especially if she’s an African-American. Yes I said it book another gym you’re welcome.

I haven’t had any issues, we do the monthly tumble program. Staff is nice, area not too messy for having a bunch of kids running around. My child enjoys class and never wants to leave lol

My daughter went here for almost 6 months and learned almost nothing. She was 4/5 years old during that time, and I could not believe how little they do with the younger kids. They don’t work on important skills, they don’t do… anything really. They let the kids goof off the whole time. There’s no structure. I took gymnastics in my hometown when I was 5 as well, and we were doing the balance beam, bars, flips, etc at that age, however at Carolina Gymnastics, it seems like they make you pay extra for private lessons just to do any of that, otherwise you’ll have to wait until your kid is 10 years old before they start teaching these things to them. It’s just not a well-run facility.

We signed up for a trial class and I couldn't be more disappointed. Us along with a few other families were confused because no one provided any help or guidance on where to go and the structure of the "class". When we got to the toddlers room the instructors were so disinterested. Didn't even introduce themselves. They did a minute of stretching then said okay go play. Save your money and go elsewhere for your little ones.

We went for our trial for the Toddlers Gymnastics class and it was so disorganized and no structure, or learning at all. The 15+ kids started with stretches and then chaos ensued, it was basically child and parent self guided play time for 50 mins. The castle room had old equipment including the small balance beam had fabric tearing on both ends with wood exposed. Once we moved to the large gym, it was very cluttered and disorganized and once again no guidance. The kids basically had a free for all in the back corner where we were placed. I have attended a trial with my oldest child at another gym a year ago, there were centers set up, actual instructors participating with the children, and organized yet fun play.

My daughter loves being there. However, I do think they can offer something more. She does it recreationally, but in order for her to learn more I have to sign her up for the team. Everything here is $10 here, $15 there. But I do feel like they could teach more. Or provide an advance group that will help to push or challenge their skills. I think they could do more for those that are serious. My daughter has been here for like 2 years, and I would love to actually see what they do other than them doing a showcase here and there. It’s cool, but it’s missing something in my opinion.

We love Carolina Gymnastics! My daughter started gymnastics there at 3 we stayed until 4.5, it really helped her balance... She started figure skating at 4.5 and was the only kid who didn't fall during her first group lessons in figure skating! Staff is very friendly, and facility is clean! My son is 3 and just started a little more than a month ago and he loves his teacher, Ms. Maddie! She's very encouraging, and patient with my son who is scared of everything except his own shadow!

My daughter likes the place. I do believe the classes are too large and they have outgrown the space. Like someone above we also tried to change the time of one of her classes and the older woman who worked the desk couldn't be less helpful. No customer service skills. It was like she was doing me a favor. The class we wanted to change to was full. She didn't offer any alternatives. I told her we might have to drop then. She didn't even offer to put her on a waiting list or anything. She just handed me a paper to fill out to give notice. I kind of figure she probably gets free classes for her child (or grandchild) for working there. Definitely doesn't act like a paid employee. My daughter does like her coaches though. They all seem nice. I took from Joanne when I was little. So that's why I picked the place. I haven't seen her there though.

My daughter started here in their 3 year-old class. She loved it. The instructor was great and it was well worth the $75/month price they do for summer sessions. Because of this class my daughter is very excited to continue taking gymnastics.

My daughter has been going to Carolina Gymnastics for 3 years now. She really enjoys it. She is making progress and really likes her instructors. I have nothing to complain about their techniques, facility or how they work with children.
Thank you!

Gymnastics at this place is great the girls really love going here and love their teachers, However the staff has no customer service skills. I called to change class schedule and i'll own it, I changed a couple of times because we have a schedule issues, but that DOS NOT give anyone the right to be rude to their customers. All I could hear in the background was " oh my god ugh are you serious??? oh my god" So I hope that someone from Carolina Gymnastics reads this YELP review, because no matter what the customers are paying your salary. They should never be treated the way I was, and I am not the type to be rude to anyone. So thank you for the not so pleasant experience. If Carolina Gymnastics wasn't so close to my house then I would go somewhere else.
