Phil has been an amazing coach for my girls. He pushes them while being kind. They have progressed so much since starting here. He gives each child great one on one instruction. We have been here for about a year now and are very happy. My girls can’t wait for tumbling each week.

This is a horrible place to send your child. They bully and even the coach bullies and embarrasses children. Your child will be a shell of themselves when they leave there.

We had a terrible experience here. It always felt like playtime instead of a tumbling class. We tried to stick it out thinking things would get better, but no such luck. Also, the way it was managed was just terrible. We’ve moved to another gym and it’s a night/day difference in the professionalism and quality of instruction.

This gym is poorly managed and participant safety is the least of their concern.
Our daughter has complained repeatedly about being dropped during practices. She told us that one of the girls responsible for catching her, convinced the other girls to not catch her at all. She has also stated that the coach never checks on her condition and only tells her, "Get up, you're fine" and "Stop crying, you're not two years old." Our daughter has had constant pain in her back for weeks. She also has bruises consistent with being dropped on her back. We contacted the business multiple times via phone call and text. Finally, after days of no reply, the coach stated she would be able to meet with us. When the concerns were addressed, the coach said she would look into it and assured us that this was not the norm. As it turns out, this behavior continued and was not corrected. When we allowed our child to participate in activities at Cheer Universe Athletics, it was with the understanding that her safety was the top priority. It is obvious that negligence in participant safety is the standard at Cheer Universe Athletics. For the coach in charge to make a statement that the spring mats are keeping the children from getting injured is ridiculous. Maybe the coach should get dropped on her head and back from shoulder height repeatedly, let us know how it feels. We also witnessed another child being dropped. She was obviously in pain and the coach also showed her indifference, telling her, "Get up, you're fine". She said this from the sideline without ever getting up to actually check on the little girl.
We are also in a group of parents that have asked to have a meeting about several matters. These include: changing of cheer event dates randomly, no practice uniforms or cheer bags that have already been paid for, and safety. The business' inability to address any of these matters, especially safety, have driven us to this point. The management of this business is horrible and their website's stated commitment to safety is a joke. We pray that no child is seriously injured and hope that the business will take this review as a spur to change their safety, management, policies and procedures.
Additionally, we've reached out to the gym on multiple occasions in regards to a refund for the uniforms and bag (that were paid for some time ago) that were never provided. There has been no response from the gym.
If your child's safety is important to you, go elsewhere!

I would give zero stars if it was possible. Run far away from this place! They are very unprofessional, no wonder the parking lot is always empty. My daughter signed up for a tumbling class here, she did two lessons, and was told the time slot was “sold to a private” because she was the only one in the class, which they were aware of before allowing her to attend the class. Coach Phil spent a large portion of both classes downing other gyms and coaches and telling her that he knows what people say about his gym but he doesn’t care. I’m so confused on why an adult would discuss other gyms/coaches personal and legal matters with a child! He constantly says they are an “injury free gym”, which I believe because they are also an athlete free gym. I now understand why everybody drives across town to other gyms and so will I. I am truly in disbelief with this experience.

Great Cheer and gymnastics studio for all ages. They even have Friday and Saturday open to the public for play time.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who have strong family values and faith.
Safety precautions in place everywhere.
