Just had a party there and are so glad this is where we chose to go! We did 2 hours and we could have stayed for 4! The kids all absolutely loved it.
The two girls that helped us with the party were incredible. Couldn’t say enough about them. Coach Maddie and coach Ruthie. Just the sweetest and so helpful. Our party would not have been as awesome if we didn’t have them. They were just the best! Thank you all! We had a blast!

We absolutely LOvE Choice Gymnastics!! I have 2 daughters (now 8 & 10) that started out in the after school program 4 years ago which lead to them wanting to take classes. There were waitlists and it took some time but the girls got in to rec classes. About a year or less in my youngest decided she wanted to try out for Team (she's always up for a challenge), and after seeing so much growth her sister decided to try out as well! This gym has become a family for these girls and I love this for them after moving around for 25+ years with the military! We enter this year with 2 on Team and they provide so many opportunities for growth like private lessons, summer camps, outside gymnastics camps, etc! They have given my girls confidence, passion, discipline, drive, and goals! The coaches are top notch and care for these kiddos! I would absolutely recommend Choice to anyone who has a kid interested in gymnastics, or have a need for after school care where they will introduce them to the gym and maybe develop a passion for it like my girls did!!!

Our two daughters have been with Choice Gymnastics for over 3.5 years, starting in rec and now heading into our third year on the competition team. The growth we've seen in our gymnasts has been truly incredible. The coaching staff is devoted, professional, encouraging, kind, and patient, which is exactly the kind of leadership that helps kids thrive. We’re also big fans of their summer camps and my girls look forward to them every year and say they're the best part of summer. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Choice!

I have two daughters that are team members at Choice Gymnastics. We absolutely love everything about this gym. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the most wonderful lady you could meet. I am at the gym 5 days a week and she never has a bad day. Always full of kindness. Every Coach is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and excellent at their job. We have been here for three years. Choice is the main reason we are staying in Summerville. My girls have found a home here.

We had a terrible first experience with this gym. I wasn’t going to write a review but I feel it necessary to do so, especially after seeing the wildly distasteful responses to other poor reviews - completely lacking any accountability for their errors.

I scheduled a private session for my son to try out the gym. I got there very early, 20 minutes or so. We were greeted by a young woman who was obviously the ‘face’ of the building - lots of smiles. She didn’t show us around but told us where to wait for the private.

We waited, and waited. No one came to get us or tell us the coach was running late. We asked and they informed us the coach was late - fine. It happens.

However, we were then put with a different coach who quickly came in to grab our son, never exchanged names, never asked what our goal for the private was, nothing. My son is shy at first and expects people to have the decency to introduce themselves.

I go to speak to the owner about the multiple concerns at this point that had already arisen in a short time and she refused to come out to speak with me. Mind you, I was new to the gym - as a fellow business owner I could never imagine not wanting to speak with a new family and especially address any concerns that there were. Instead, I got the ‘face’ of the company who attempted to remedy the issue by throwing our money back at us.

These behaviors are dangerous when they work with children. I heard the smiley woman in the front speaking poorly of a coach/parent openly as well. We left with a very sour taste in our mouth and will happily never be back. It’s a shame because we had two kiddos ready to sign up for regular classes and privates but they absolutely lost our business and we will advise our neighbor who also was looking for a gym to steer clear. Professionalism and kindness go a long way.

We started at Choice after moving to the area from Pittsburgh almost 6 years ago. My oldest daughter did Ninja when we first moved here, and my youngest daughter has done rec gymnastics, parents night out, and the after-school program. They both had great experiences. Our middle daughter started rec gymnastics at Choice when she was 6. She moved up to prep team and eventually tried out for team. This is her 4th season on the Choice competition team, and we couldn't be happier. They have been amazing through each level and coach she has had. She was injured a few years ago (through no fault of the gym) and they were so great throughout the entire time she was off. Cliff even helped her rehab her arm so that she wouldn't have to go to physical therapy and could get back to gymnastics when she was cleared by her doctor. I would highly recommend Choice Gymnastics to anyone who is wanting a safe and competitive place for their child to do gymnastics!

Wouldn’t recommend for Summer Camp. It is run by teenagers mostly. We had issues with bullying, kids taking my daughter’s shirt & water bottles. But the biggest and most inappropriate thing I just unfortunately heard about this evening from this past summers session - My daughter hadn’t told me yet bc she said she was too embarrassed- they had some of the kids changing in the gym behind mats (where there are also camera) my poor daughter told me she was changing and almost the whole summer camp saw her naked because the mats fell down. Now why was I never informed of this? She stated no one ran to cover her up she just got laughed at by the camp kids and the counselors just put the mat back up?
This is not ok for children to be changing in an area in the open where there are cameras!

** edit I did speak with the woman who runs the summer program. Yes, my daughter has attended camp the past few years but this incident occurred this past summer, so let’s not use that as a scapegoat to me letting my daughter attend this camp. I did address concerns I had with incidents in the past with whomever was there. unfortunately this big incident as I stated.. my daughter hadn’t told me bc she was so embarrassed of the situation. Jen stated none of the counselors recalled the incident. My daughter doesn’t remember the name of who was in charge that day, all she knows is it happened near the end of the summer.
So now it seems like no one is taking accountability- basically her and this reply from the owner is insinuating my daughter is making this story up because the people who were in charge at the time don’t remember something that would get them possibly reprimanded.

My son got injured because the coach that was with him (right next to him) was having him do a drill that he had never done before. She failed to spot him (support his body during the trick with her arms or with the barrel) and it ended up with him getting a back injury. I took this concern to the front counter - the receptionist was very kind and wanted to make sure I felt heard about my concerns about my son being injured because of lack of spotting. The owner and head coach came to talk with me and approached with such a disgusting horrific attitude. They even said the classes have too many kids in them and the coach can’t be paying attention to all of them. 🤯🤯 so they were fine with my son being inured (truly, the attitude was they just. Did. Not. Care.) and their answer is their classes are too big…..

This was the only gym that I could find that offered private lessons for adults. My wife went from never having done gymnastics in her life to doing hand stands and cartwheels in literally 1 lesson! Absolutely will be back for more lessons. We had too much fun. 11 out of 10 stars!

My daughter started classes in August and has been having a blast! We try many different activities in the area and I like the structure and control the teacher has over the class. Through this class my daughter has gained a huge interest in gymnastics. We've enjoyed it so much that we're actually pulling my son from one activity so he can begin classes there as well. I would recommend this gym to families in the area.

My daughter was on team with Choice. They practice 3xs a week starting at 4pm and with my work schedule we decided it was best for our family to consider moving to closer gym. Admittedly My daughter said something to a teammate and it was overheard by a coach. My daughter is an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL aged child. She WAS NOT being malicious. It was a teachable moment. The owner of the gym decided to respond by bad mouthing the other gym to my child, then calling us over at the end of competition and started belittling my child’s performance at the competition and then said she wasn’t allowed back. I don’t mind the fact that’s she’s not allowed back, we were leaving anyway. I don’t mind them making it clear to her it is not something she should be talking about to other girls on team. I have a problem with the way it was handled. It was an adult behaving badly.
EDIT: I did not notify the gym we were leaving because a final decision had not been made however I was not asked anything. They overheard a CHILD talking. I was told we were done and with the way that conversation was handled we were definitely leaving anyway so there was no need to discuss.
Second I was told my child gave no effort yet she had 2 personal best scores. They were being nasty. Never once in the 2 years she was with choice had they ever even talked to me about her performance period. This day they suddenly needed to pull me aside before they told us we couldn’t come back to tell me how bad she did.

So far we are really happy with how things at the gym have been going. My daughter is in one of the younger classes and the activities are very age appropriate yet I still believe they are building the skills she will need to be a gymnast. Poorly managed, no structure - parents stuck in a room with a baby monitor sized screen to watch the children. I can't speak to the abilities of staff or satisfaction of the instruction. Every time I asked someone about what they were doing with the kids, they had no idea. No communication.
We stuck with it for a few months but we would rather have a place where we can be more involved and know what my child is learning. Such a bizarre little place I don't know how it's still running.

Absolutely amazing place. I have two daughters who started in the recreational classes a couple years back and since then have moved up to the team. Both recreational and team coaches have been nothing but amazing. They are attentive, well trained, and truly care about their athletes. I’ve watched my girls go from curious beginners to confident driven gymnasts who are in love with the sport. Being apart of this gym truly has been such an incredible experience all around. My daughter has been enrolled at this facility for over a year and has gained SO much self confidence. The class she was enrolled in was the "Jumpers" (she's 4) we have come in contact with so many great instructor's during our time there. The 50 min classes are the perfect break for moms and dads alike and the parents viewing room keeps you close to your littles. I appreciate all the hard work of making sure working parents would still have access to after school program after Berkeley County decided 3 days before school starts that a bus would no longer travel here. The bus has stopped here for years. I am okay with changing life due to COVID, but to notify three days before school is insane. Thanks to the staff for being creative and coming up with a solution! Ninja Zone program was disorganized and our son was delayed his chance to test for his next level, due to lack of participation. Owners Cliff and Deb did not provide adequate communication to us when a key staffer of the program was let go and another staffer quit. Even after we called, they seemed unaware of answers to our questions. While the program was great when our son first started, it evolved over time into an hour of basically play-time for our son and not the program for which we were paying, let alone driving from Goose Creek, to attend on time. My wife, son and I are sadly disappointed in this program and in fact, withdrew earlier today, so we wouldn't be wasting more money. Cliff and Deb, please don't say you cannot find us in your roster - that would be a further reflection of the disorganization we experienced, plus it was setup under my wife's name. Also, please don't offer to reach out to us. You had your chance and basically blew it with us. We're moving on and we cannot recommend this program to anyone interested in joining.

Not a positive experience for children. Competitive gymnastics was my daughters life after we experienced extreme trauma in our family. The coaches knew of her anxiety but would still yell and speak inappropriately to her, and she would leave in tears. She was kicked out of the gym one night while I was not there. Literally outside of the gym in the parking lot. The last straw was when she was crying in the gym and the coach/owner was videoing her in tears. Antagonizing her again as opposed to notifying me.

There are good coaches there; the younger ones. But when the owner is one of the coaches I am speaking of, don’t expect your concerns about your child’s welfare to be heard. Their response is if you don’t like it, there’s the door.

Bad Place for Kids. They should encourage kids not break them down. My child has been at a good gym in Columbia SC for years. These coaches are mean and disrespectful to kids. I’ve seen it for myself during meets. They should be there to build them up not tear them down. Shame on You (adults). Videotaping a child crying is SO wrong In so many ways! 😡
