I come to This gym almost every weekend! Not only because of the friendly faces, but also because of one worker. Cristen. Every weekend she has a smile on her face and is always ready for conversation and ready to help. One of the few workers that I actually see doing work and being nice to EVERYONE encountered. I’m guessing she either quit or found something better since the gym was not opened at a proper time on Saturday morning, which was very inconvenient, hopefully in the future members are notified about delays in happening.

This location is phenomenal. The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming - always enthusiastic. They love what they do and it shows.

I encourage everyone to try a class or meet with a trainer. I paired up with Maverick for personal training a few months ago and cannot express how his drive and motivation has changed my wellbeing. I suffer from chronic medical conditions and have transformed from couch potatoe to lover of the gym. Maverick is pivotal in my journey. I have more energy, strength and endurance.

I want to start by highlighting the positive aspects of this gym: the equipment is excellent modern, well-maintained, and ideal for a full workout. The staff at the front desk are always extremely friendly, welcoming, and professional. Their positive attitude is one of the best parts of coming to Crunch Mauldin. However, I’ve had a recurring issue that really needs the management’s attention — the cleanliness and maintenance of the bathrooms. This is now the third time I've experienced the same problem: bathrooms not clean, sometimes with no toilet paper and even no paper towels available.
For a gym that prides itself on a great atmosphere and community, maintaining clean and properly stocked restrooms should be a top priority. The condition of the bathrooms strongly impacts the overall image and customer experience of the facility. It's disappointing when the workout is great, but the bathroom experience completely takes away from it. I sincerely hope management can address this issue permanently. A clean, well-maintained restroom is not just a detail it’s part of the standard of quality members expect and deserve.

Cleanliness is clearly not a priority, and in this setting, its super important! After observing their personal trainers training clients and not cleaning or showing proper etiquette to wipe down equipment, I quickly learned to wipe down my equipment before and after use. Even still, I got a ringworm infection after my last visit. I will not be returning.

Great location with a lot of nice equipment. The issue is the cleaning stations are often out of paper towels and low to empty spray bottles. In addition, it's not uncommon for the refreshment cabinet to be low or completely empty. All of these issues can easily be resolved if the staff is more attentive.

The gym has a great selection of brand-new equipment, which is definitely a plus. Unfortunately, it’s taking more than two weeks to fix the few broken around . Even worse, none of the bathrooms are working .
A basic facility that should be functional from day one.
The staff is not very helpful. I simply asked to check my weight on the body scan scale because the one in the women’s bathroom has been broken for weeks, and I was told no.
I didn’t even want the full scan, just my weight.
Honestly, the Pleasantburg branch is much better. It may have less equipment, but the staff there is way more polite and accommodating.

I’ve been a member at this gym for about a month and a half, and I have mixed feelings. On the positive side, this place is loaded with equipment , seriously, it’s like Planet Fitness on steroids. There’s something for everyone, from free weights to machines and functional training areas. I also like that they offer a variety of group classes, but you do have to sign up in advance to secure a spot.

I transferred from a smaller sports club, so this gym is definitely a big change , more energy, more people, and more variety. The price is fair for what you get.

Now for the downside: cleanliness is a major issue. The women’s bathroom is honestly not up to par …it often feels like the cleaning crew isn’t doing their job. The floors throughout the gym are dusty, and it seems like vacuuming and basic maintenance are overlooked. With as many people as this gym attracts, they really need a dedicated, around-the-clock cleaning staff. Also, the paper towel dispensers are pretty much useless and the cleaning products are paper-thin , not ideal in a space where hygiene should be a priority.

Overall, it has the potential to be a top-tier gym, but the lack of cleanliness is making me reconsider if I’ll stay long-term. If they can get serious about cleaning and maintenance, I’d be much more sold on it.

Poorly managed. I signed up before the place opened, however once I visited another branch decided I wasn't a fan of the layout so promptly canceled. Fast forward 4 months, they start charging me and I have never stepped foot into the gym. Just moved to the area in May and joined Crunch Fitness in Mauldin the week it opened due to what they offer, not only with their pricing, but the equipment is top notch! They have a ton of platforms for deadlifting and squatting, with exceptional bars and bumper plates, multiple pairs of dumbbells all the way up to the 120’s, plenty of pin and plate loaded machines where you are never left having to wait on a machine no matter the body part you’re training, a vast array of cardio machines and most of all, it’s exceptionally clean on the gym floor and the locker room. I highly suggest it!

Got a good set up of equipment if you can get someone to show up to work so you can get in. Staff is not very friendly in the mornings when I go though. 😒 Tiny benches for a lot of lockers so if you are uncomfortable in a locker room this gym would be a bad choice. Great location right by my job but again that doesn't matter if you are waiting in the parking lot for someone to come to work for a hour or more. Overall very unsatisfied for the amount of money it cost to not be able to get a workout.

I had given Chrunch Gym in Mauldin SC a great review several months ago an I just want to give another one.. I gave a shout out last time to Kristen an Darius about how great I was treated by them when I met them well I want to give another shout out to them again ..those two people have treated me like family when I come in there ..their customer service an help is awesome..the gym is great it has everything I need to complete my goals .but I just wanted to say to those two guys thanks for making my gym time there great .Actually everyone there is cool but those two go above there means an I appreciate both of those guys .

Really like the gym. Love the equipment and lighting. All of the massage chairs is a plus and the staff is friendly. This site has real potential and is the best Chrunch site in the area.

On the improvement side the men’s restroom needs to be cleaned regularly. TV’s should all work and have sports on them.

I also do not think that there is enough equipment for all the current and future members. I feel like too much space is being wasted in the center of the gym. I would ensure that each body part has at least two machines for it.

To ensure sustainability addressing membership feedback will be needed when required.

Great gym. Lots of equipment and space that Crunch Greenville was missing. I appreciate that this gym has kettlebells heavier than 35#. Some machines have already broken, which is disappointing, but staff have already put in work orders for repair.

Please look into the sauna situation. I tried it out for the first time on Thursday, and the temp was pitiful. It was hotter in my car! I didn't even break a sweat in the sauna. Unsure if this is due to the smaller size, but the sauna at Crunch Greenville (about 2x the size) was always rolling with heat. From other reviews, this isn't solely an issue with the women's sauna either. Please contact the manufacturer to troubleshoot and/or increase the temps.

Also, please consider adding mirrors to the walls opposite the racks in the HIIT room. It would greatly help that room not feel so cloistered, and it would help with the ability for us to check our form during movements. Additionally, the currently existing mirrors in the gym, in general, are positioned quite high, so you can't see your full form in the bottom of movements (like in the squat racks). It would take time and effort to change this, but please consider rearranging the mirrors down a foot or so.

The worst experience of my life so much promotion for nothing the daycare has the worst staff I literally cancelled my subscription because of how they treated my daughters the racism is real be careful taking your children to this place especially if your Latin!!!! The fire alarm went off well i was in the restroom decided to check on my daughters since it was my first time dropping them off and tell my way they had all the other WHITE kids in their check-in section confronting them so they wouldnt be scared and had mine all alone on the other side my daughters we’re looking at the door scared out they’re mind covering their ears waiting for me to come because no one was there for them i was so mad regardless of what race my daughters are they are CHILDREN and nobody deserves to get treated like that I really dislike that place and hope no-one ever has the same experience as me hope this helps anyone trying to start a workout routine and think that their children will be safe with these people…

Nice new gym. Lots of equipment. Problem is they have zero stretch machines. None. They tell you to plop down where people are working out. Planet fitness has 2 machines you sit and do stretches. Then they have a stretch cage. Stretching before and after working out is so important. Some of us are old and laying on a mat to stretch is ridiculous. I asked the staff and they didn't really care and were happy to cancel my membership. Back to planet fitness. What a disappointment. Planet fitness by far is a better set up. Plus it's cheaper.

It's not open 24hrs but I'm in love with this place. I love the environment The music, the energy and everyone seems to be so kind. I love that it's not too big, I haven't had a problem with finding a parking spot & most of all I can bring my granddaughters with me!

Really nice weights and clean, staff is super welcoming and helpful -only thing is the music is unbearably loud. Like noise level of a bar. It's headache inducing. I can still hear it very loudly while playing music in my noise cancelling headphones. Please turn it down!!!

Music is incredibly loud, could be turned down. Hard to hear your own music even with noise cancelling headphones, if you do not want to listen to the gym music. Some people were filming themselves which is less than desirable for members to have to deal with while working out. They do have multiple sets of equipment, so the variety is good.

The atmosphere is amazing. I looove it every time I go and it’s only been 3 days. I have never been so comfortable in a gym and I’m so excited to continue my fitness journey here at Crunch 💪🏾🏋🏾‍♀️

The women's sauna door does not shut on its own. When people leave they are not shutting the door releasing a massive amount of heat 😒. So that was frustrating. Please fix the door.

It’s fine for a crunch, but they cheaped out on the weights and bars for the squat racks. They’ll leave a bunch of metal dust all over your hands when you’re loading the plates.

Just transfer my membership from one Crunch place to another Church here in Mauldin. Just wish the suna room was bigger but overall I have no excuses why I can't get to the gym it's literally walking distance from my home now. #betterhealthbetteryouletsgetit💪🏾

Isn't it amazing how people are already rating this place 5 stars when it isn't even open yet?
What exactly are you rating? We've all been waiting for an inordinate amount of time for this place to open, the hype has died for many of us due to the constant delayed opening dates.
If they ban camera use on the gym floor I'll consider coming back. That's why I left the other one... The second pic is of an entire three person film crew that was shooting for someone's social media. Came with a water bottle for "sweat" and everything. Nothing was ever said to them and multiple employees interacted playfully.

Requires a credit card and checking account to sign up. Ridiculous. A credit card is more than enough. We don’t want to sign our life away, we want to work out. Bunch of clowns on day 1 !!
