Dance lab should be called “Home Away from Home!” The reason is, is because of the welcoming atmosphere, the attention the students receive, everyone has a place to be and are involved, and the love shown to anyone that walks in the door is mind blowing! We love this place. And the people are family, the lab is home and all the dancers here are amazing and have soo much talent. Jordan is amazing and is the best crew director and Jenny is super nice and runs the place super smoothly. Also all the shows they put on follow a beautiful story with dancers that guide the story as characters better than any movie could do. I love you guys!!!!🧡❤❤

This is my daughter’s happy place! She’s in her13th year of dance, second year at Dance Lab. The mad scientist are geniuses and the chief mad scientist, Jenny, is AMAZING. The Crew lead by Lauren & Jordan, is second to none. I honestly can’t say enough about this amazing place creating happy humans!

As a complete beginner, I wanted to try out a class a few months ago. While the staff was definitely nice, the jazz class I took (which was one of the classes recommended by who I was in contact with) was definitely not for me (it was a little too hard, which was honestly pretty embarrassing and upsetting for me). I think I just had really big expectations, so I was kind of disappointed, specifically considering in my email I expressed that I was pretty much completely unknowledgeable about any dance form; but, I understand it's not possible for the instructors to predict how unadvanced I am at dance. However, I could totally see that the other dancers absolutely loved the studio and the class, so take my review with a grain of salt. The studio might not be for me, but that's totally okay because I think the majority of people find a really fantastic community, which I think is awesome!

My son (4) and daughter (6) both take lessons here. They love the teachers, and the variety of classes offered. They are both into hip hop right now, but they started in ballet/ tap and had great experiences! The communication is amazing, my emails are usually answered within the hour. I find the instructors very knowledgeable, and very familiar with kids of all ages! If you are looking for a studio that is always positive, and encouraging, than this is the one for you!

Dance Lab is one of my favorite places to be! Every single one of the instructors has amazing energy and really push their dancers in their classes and always teach great choreo. It is a super inclusive and positive space. Jenny, Naquan, Brittany, and Mark are all teachers that I regularly take from and in addition to the amazing choreography they really just want everyone to enjoy their class as we express ourselves through dance. There is not a bad class at the lab and I wish I had time to take them all all of the time.

Dance Lab is hands down the best thing that happened to me when I moved from NYC to Charleston! Jenny Broe has created a space for adults that just want to move, express, and feel all the feels by dancing the nights away. The classes come in a variety of styles and levels. The space is so welcoming, non-intimidating, non-competitive and just straight up beautiful. The Lab has provided me with more than my daily/weekly workout; I have found the most amazing people to call my best friends, been given the opportunity to perform for an audience all over town with the Bad Girls Club, and now have a family away from home. I could not recommend this place enough to any and all humans with dance experience or not! Anytime my mom, aunt, sister, brother, cousin, or friend has come to visit I've taken them to the lab to dance it out. There are classes for everyone!!! Being a thirty-year-old grown @$$ woman, this year I gifted myself a new form of movement and I started taking classes at Dance Lab and I met a new dang family. I LOVE DANCELAB!! I have danced at other studios in Charleston and really nothing compares to DanceLab and the wonderful Jenny Broe. Going to a new studio , especially as an adult, can be very intimidating.. but DanceLab welcomes everyone with open arms and makes you feel like a rockstar. Their teachers have such enthusiasm and passion and there are so many different styles offered, you can always find what you are in the mood for! It is genuinely rare to find a dance studio whose staff show the level of care, kindness, and courtesy as those at Dance Lab! They go out of their way in "normal" times to make sure their students are happy and feel like they have a home away from home.

Now, in the time of COVID-19, Jenny and the family at Dance Lab have gone out of their way to assure their students have a clean facility with appropriate space to prevent infection, as well as provide online options for classes for students who cannot attend in person.

In the 1.5ish years that I have been coming here I have transformed and grown both in my dance skill level and in my all around confidence. All of the teachers I have met and taken class from have pushed me higher and encouraged me to be my best self. Naquan, Jade, Miquel, James, and of course Jenny (Queen) to name a few. Once upon a time in college, I was apart of a dance group that would tear us down all the time and took away my love and appreciation for dance. With Dance Lab, I have nothing bad to say :)

This place is great! I love the environment! It amazes me when people take the time to learn my name. The teachers are very personable and they strive to help you become a better dancer. This place will boost your confidence in yourself as well. The services that they offer are top of the line 👌🏽If you had a stressful day at work, their positive vibes will make you forget all about it 😊 (Especially the Hip Hop Yoga class). Everyone that I have encountered has a great sense of humor.

I love the way the place was branded with the Lab Rat theme and Mad Scientists. Everything about it is great. Jenny the Chief Mad Scientist is great! She's a very hard worker and you can tell that she enjoys doing what she does. That's hard to find :)

Lizzie is a great and very positive woman. Her yoga classes she shares some encouraging words.

Naquan is hilarious! I'm in stitches with every class.

Every class they don't push you too hard. So I would say it is great for "seasoned" individuals. You just do what you can. No body will judge ya!
