Drake Fitness has been a game changer for improving my mobility and overall movement. The coaches are incredibly attentive, they watch your form, make adjustments, and explain why certain movements matter, which makes every session feel purposeful. The space is always clean and well organized, and the guidance is clear enough that you feel confident in every exercise. Highly recommend!!

I can’t express how great Drake Fitness is on so many levels. After years of being a competitive athlete and a “gym rat” a big move, change in lifestyle and lots of lb’s I had completely fallen off any kind of fitness routine. I wasn’t comfortable in this new body and didn’t know how to move it correctly. I heard so many amazing things about David and Drake fitness and they all proved to be true. He really assesses your needs and makes sure you don’t get hurt in the process. I’m on my 3rd month of consistent workouts and my body is changing and lbs are dropping. The classes are small so he always has time to make sure form is correct etc. the atmosphere is calm, fun and actually therapeutic. Everyone in this gym is rooting for you. David has done something really special here and I wish everyone could experience the support and workout both him and Nick provide. This place rocks. If you have been thinking about dropping in run…don’t walk!

As a lifelong fitness enthusiast and career bodyworker, I tend to have a high standard for instructors of all varieties. David brings the knowledge, technique, and vibe every single time. I've experienced both private sessions to work on form and sequencing of movements (Turkish get ups, kettlebell swings, etc) as well as his classes (small groups with community feel) and always walk away with a great workout and lots of useful knowledge of intelligent movement. As someone who tends towards yoga and a more flowy type of workouts, I have to say that his style is not only complimentary to it, but is the only true strength training I've stuck with long term and it's because of the variety and solidity his method of training brings.. Oh and there's always a great playlist and laughs in his gym 😉

My journey at Drake fitness began by chance while looking to purchase kettlebells on Facebook market place. David was kind enough to gift me some free classes to check it all out. After my first class I was hooked. Now I don’t miss a class three times a week. A place to learn and challenge yourself while learning all the fundamentals to move safe and strong. My journey while still new has seen great results not only in the gym but also in my personal life. Can’t recommend Drake fitness enough for anyone looking to take their health to the next level!!

Working with David Drake has been nothing short of transformative. David's expertise and support have played a crucial role in various aspects of my fitness journey.
Under David's guidance, he has prepared me for numerous surf trips. His tailored fitness routines not only enhanced my overall strength and endurance but also contributed significantly to my performance on the waves. In my 40s, I decided to take on the challenge of starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). David's guidance was invaluable in adapting my fitness routine to complement the demands of this passion.

Popped into the studio for a quick hello. Met the nicest man ever who saved my morning. He found my key in the middle of the road and put a note on the steering wheel letting me know he found the key. I walked in to thank him and received a warm welcome. I can't say enough great things about David and his training methodologies. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge on the mechanics of the body, kettlebell training, nutrition, and good music, he is one of the most generous and compassionate people I've ever worked with. Through several months of consistent dedication working with David, I was able to get after it while nursing a shoulder injury, can confidently move through explosive movements, and am stronger than I've ever been.

It's a great way to start your morning! David is very professional and passionate. I felt welcomed, everybody had a good work out and had fun! We started with a good indepth warm up stretch and than a kettle bell routine. We ending with a 2 minutes plank. The whole time David makes sure everybody was having the correct form. He knows his stuff. It's worth checking it out!

Coach Drake puts together really fun/challenging workouts and the atmosphere is great. Even in the group classes, if you’re a beginner, he will make sure you are comfortable and learn proper form. So far it’s been a blast. I can’t wait to continue training here!

I had a bad back injury that was not getting better with physical therapy. I missed being physically active and in shape , and longed to get back to exercising. I found Drake Fitness on-line; I was very nervous about signing up because I was still suffering with back pain and was very out of shape due to many months without physical activity.
I was so pleasantly surprised to see that Dave was BETTER than all physical therapists I have ever had. Moreover, I have had multiple different personal trainers and have been a part of many different group work out classes (i.e. orange theory), and he was better than them too!
Dave pays close attention to detail, makes every workout COUNT, and takes the safety of his clients into consideration (unlike every other personal trainer or instructor I have had).
Moreover, Dave is highly skilled and knowledgeable about exercise, the human body, nutrition, and proper technique. I have reached so many goals in such a short amount of time and cannot wait to continue working with him.
I am so glad I found Drake Fitness! He is THE BEST!

David Drake is literally the best. Coming out of the pandemic winter, my head and body were in a bad place. 30 lbs heavier and feeling hyper unmotivated. Starting to workout with David was the kick start I needed, and his consistent and specific training to my goals and needs has taken exercise as something I've done off and on into something I look forward to every single day of my life. His wealth of knowledge in exercise science is clear, but it's his approach and natural intuition for how to maximize the potential for a specific individual that is his real gift. I live out of state and do the vast majority of our one on one sessions over Zoom and it's still worth every penny. All the gained weight is gone, my mental health is better than it has been in years, and I can feel the benefits of my new functional strength in my daily life. Trainer, guru, friend, are all applicable words for David, for me they ALL apply. It's worth noting that while I do many of our workouts over Zoom, David's gym facility is the most comfortable and welcoming "gym" environment I've ever been in.

After experiencing the worst lower back pain of my life, and I have struggled with this condition for 20+ years, I found David and Drake Fitness. Last spring I threw my back out and started on a long road to recovery. First there were MRIs, then steroid injections, then some very ineffective physical therapy. After a close friend recommended David, I signed up for a package of visits to see what he could do to help. It was during the course of this first round of one on one visits with David that I finally found myself pain free for the first time in eight months. David listened actively to what my issues were and custom designed a workout that helped me not only feel physical relief, but mental as well. If you’ve ever suffered with severe lower back pain I can not recommend Drake Fitness enough.

David Drake, is an outstanding fitness instructor and trainer. The best I’ve had the pleasure of working with. David is extremely knowledgeable in every facet of fitness incorporating a wide variety of training exercises, techniques and workouts. He’s very methodical in his training technique, whether in a group functional fitness class or one-on-one training. You’ll never be bored. He takes the time to explain proper form and how each exercise works a particular muscle or group of muscles. He also pays close attention to all of his clients to ensure you’re doing every exercise correctly, with proper form to ensure your safety.
I had surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff and biceps tendon almost a year and a half ago. I went through physical therapy which was helpful; however, I felt PT only went so far and didn’t get me to 100%. David Drake has taken over where PT couldn’t. His knowledge of anatomy and how muscles work and interact allowed him to put together a training regiment that has brought my shoulder to nearly 100% in only a few months and I’m confident I will be there in no time. I am truly grateful to him for helping me turn the corner on my shoulder rehab.
David’s training facility is an amazing venue to train and workout in. Clean and well organized. It incorporates a wide variety of fitness equipment that David utilizes to train his clients and teach his classes with. Like I said, you’ll never be bored.

I have been working with David for about 3 years now, on and off. I had a severe ankle injury that required multiple surgeries, ultimately resulting in ankle fusion (where the ankle is not longer a joint). He has helped me maintain strength and muscle in between surgeries; his knowledge about the way the body mechanically works has helped me to continue to exercise. After the final fusion surgery, we have worked together to modify movements to still achieve results. I am well on my way to being in the shape I was in pre accident. The other members of the classes are super encouraging and it feels more communal than a big box gym.

David has an outstanding small gym with all the toys! More importantly David and his other trainers are the best at seeing your weaknesses before you know about them so they can be addressed appropriately. They have helped me in all facets of my working out!! I am stronger muscularly and cardiovascularly! My shoulders, which were weak and vulnerable, are now ready for anything. This place comes highly recommended by me for both individual training and the classes too. The classes are always fun and well managed and I leave feeling strong and sweaty! Check him out!!
