Being apart of the Empire family has allow my daughter to grow to new heights. From after school pick, daycare options, to what they are known for a great gymnastics program, starting from tumbling to young ladies flying high above the bars. Empire is a great place to start at any age your little athlete on their way to reaching for their dreams. They even have boys ninja classes. Where I have seen my son become strong and more focused on setting and achieving goals. Great work to the staff at Empire a must try if you are looking for a place that will treat you like family.

3 years ago, after being unhappy with the tiny gymnast program we started using. We found Empire gymnastics. Our then 3 year old has done great, loves the staff and coaches. It's a good family environment where I feel perfectly fine dropping my daughter off and going to run a couple errands. My daughter enjoys going here but she recently moved up to the next class and last Saturday I watched both of her teachers ignore her while she was stuck on one of the beams and obviously needed help .. I feel the instructors aren’t very attentive , especially to the younger students that aren’t able to communicate as well . she’s only 3 so I feel it should be expected that she would need help with some stuff .. I know they have a lot going on with multiple young kids in the class but I do feel like they need to have their attention on their students

We are fairly new to this area and my daughter has been to 2 prior gymnastics programs before joining Empire. I had researched before moving and reviews were wonderful. I can attest that the reviews were spot on. I absolutely love the staff, my daughter's coach Emily, and the afterschool program coordinators when I have to utilize them during school outages. The Friday fun nights are something she always looks forward too as well. The prices are more than reasonable and we will be with Empire for a long time. The staff seem nice but barely engage unless spoken to. All instructions regarding expectations are given when you sign up. If you speak to staff on your first visit they will provide instructions again. The lobby area is small and if you have a beginner or higher then you are only allowed to sit in the lobby on the first visit. All other visits, you are encouraged to leave and 'get things done on your to do list' or wait outside. The younger age group parents can stay inside.

I'm not sure if there is a system for determining when your child can advance. I'm not sure how a child can really advance going 1 hour per week though. They do have a showcase that you can pay for your child to participate in; I imagine it is like a recital.

My child enjoys going but doesn't seem to be overly enthusiastic about the activities. There doesn't appear to be anything for them to work toward other than the showcase. I will update my review as things are figured out.

They are best priced in the area and for that, I am thankful. However, the reason for the 3 stars is during classes, you can barely see what the kids are doing. I have a 5 year old boy in gymnastics and there is no communication after class to tell us what we should be working on with him. I don’t want to pay for him only to play but rather learn, stretch and grow. Sounds like a common issue here. Now I don’t only want to paint a bad light, they do have tons of events to attend. Toddler times, parents night out. Etc..Those are also great affordable, fun events. My toddler loved running around their facility and playing on anything and everything. The only thing that needs attention is how they run classes. Parents want communication and feedback. I included a video so you can see how difficult it is to watch your child through the glass. Many classes are happening at the same time as well, so you often have people standing in your way. I get why they don’t have parents in there but I wish they had a better solution to the view issue as well.

I honestly thought my review would be the only one about the bullying here by not just the students but the teacher also, but apparently I’m not the only one.

My 5 year old attended here for beginners tumbler class. She was in it with preteen girls and other girls varying in age. She was so excited to get to do gymnastics!

Over time, she began to dread gymnastics which at first we dismissed. Then one day she cried and said her stomach hurt and she didn’t want to go. It was then that we found out that the preteen girls were bullying her because she couldn’t perform as well as them. Mocking her and belittling her.

She went to the teacher and this woman literally told her “tell them to stop.” In what world do you tell a 5 year old to stand up for themself against girls 2-3times her age??

The teacher didn’t care at all, and also got mad at her because she wasn’t performing well, while refusing to address the bullying but watching it happen. It was also revealed that the teacher never spent time on her, and only helped the older girls more. Only giving her one chance to perform certain moves.

I’m just absolutely astonished that such a miserable woman (who I want to add, never even performed the very moves she was telling the students to do) is allowed to teach here.
I feel absolutely awful that something my daughter was so excited to do and optimistic for was crushed because bullies get away with things like this and the bully teacher let it happen.
Tell a bully to stop, yes, when has the EVER worked. 🙄

For over a year, my daughter has been attending Empire Gymnastics Training Center, where we have encountered nothing short of exceptional professionalism and respect from all staff members we've interacted with. The level of courtesy and efficiency extended to us has been remarkable. In a particularly challenging time for our family, as my wife was battling stage 4 cancer, we chose to celebrate our daughter's 7th birthday at their facility. The team at Empire Gymnastics went above and beyond in managing the event, handling every aspect of the party with such ease that it allowed us and other parents to fully immerse ourselves in the celebration without any stress. Their ability to oversee the entire event flawlessly, with the exception of baking the cake on-site, was incredibly supportive. We came here for the 1st time today and we will never come back. Some of the staff needs to learn how to talk to parents and kids. A staff member yelled at me across the foam pit because my toddler jumped in. I obviously didn’t tell him to jump in, we saw other kids in there. If you need to speak to me or any other parent talk with some respect and don’t think we are stupid. Worst experience ever!

Be very weary of letting your kid attend for after school program. My daughter had so many issues with bullying by boys that are 3- 4 years older than her. One incident they sprained her arm bc they were chasing her around and she fell and the boy yanked her up by her arm and nearly dislocated it.. and another incident they were putting Matt's on top of her and sitting on them to were she couldnt breath. One more incident is 3 boys all atleast 2 years older than her chased her around and were holding her to the ground with her arms behind her back and not one teacher heard or seen her screaming for help.. they had to go and look at the cameras....No teacher is ever around when it's happening. They do not watch the kids they just put them all in the gym together and then not even pay attention. On several occasions when my daughter went to a teacher(ms. Alex) for help they just told her to stop being a tattle tell or to just deal with it. When I brought this up to the teachers they just said they would take care of it but come to find out it's still been going on for months. I think most of the staff is just young kids who really don't care about the safety and well being of the children in their care. On several occasions when we first started they would bring the wrong kid out too which is very frightening.. Mr. Cole told her to just ignore it when someone was pulling her hair.. this place is trash and needs to be shut down before someone gets seriously injured.
