Just moved to James Island from downtown Charleston and honestly wish I had found this place sooner. From day one, Dylan and Allison made me feel completely at home. This gym is the real deal, it’s authentic, welcoming, and refreshingly ego-free. The 30-minute workouts are both efficient and effective, perfect for starting your day strong or unwinding after work. If you’re looking for real results without the fluff, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Friendly staff! Great price! You defiantly get what you pay for! I'm trying to loose this belly fat I took on over the holidays and get ready for beach season. I saw James Island Fit Body Boot Camp and thought, "that sounds like just what I'm looking for." I defiantly do not regret it! I'll probably be in the best shape of my life by the time I finish. I was a few months postpartum when I started at this gym. I am SO grateful that I did. My core was completely weak and I honestly felt like I was completely out of shape and this wouldn't work for me but I wasn't happy with what I saw in the mirror. However, this has been the perfect gym for me. It's only a 30 minute workout yet they are challenging but doable. I am shocked by how strong I have become. I would have never thought I could do a push up or core exercises as I do now. I completely recommend Jay and this gym to anyone. Jay is nice, clearly passionate about training the members of this gym and I have found him to be very genuine. He goes out of his way every workout to ensure you are doing the exercises correctly. He is also encouraging. If you are on the fence about this, I would go for it. It's worth the time, transition and money to get into shape and be healthier. I look at pictures of myself now and I'm shocked I've made the progress I have. The accountability, ease of scheduling and straightforward set up work well for me with a busy life and children. Highly recommend!

I joined a year ago, and have been addicted ever since. Jay and Chelsea run a great, family oriented Gym. The workouts are fantastic. I have had past injuries and the pain from them has gone away thanks to working consistent with Jay. I love how everything is programmed, so it takes the thinking out of my fitness. I can’t say enough about the program. Highly recommend!

Jay truly supports and wants to see everyone who walks through his doors achieve their own personal health and fitness goals. His knowledge and experience in the fitness/nutrition arena makes him a great resource for guidance and direction with both fitness and nutrition goals. Jay’s positivity and encouragement makes for a great workout every time I step in his gym! It always feels amazing to get such a great workout in in only a 30 minute time period! When my yoga studio closed down due to COVID, I needed an alternative to stay in shape. My husband had been raving about Fit Body Boot Camp, but I was intimidated by the high intensity training since I was such a yogi. I never had imagined I would fit in so well and love it the way that I do. Jay’s gym is truly for everyone! I joined this gym program in Feb'20 and it was able to reopen with sensible protocols to keep everyone confident and safe during the summer. It has been a constant over the weeks of this strange 2020 and I am leaning on it to continue into 2021 with the positive mental and physical positives. The instructor/owner Jay is extremely genuine and very helpful in making sure posture/routine is correct for the trainings. I recommend this experience for anyone looking to change things up.

The atmosphere of this gym is hands down the best and SO clean! Jay makes it his top priority to make sure you feel comfortable, especially being a first timer in a gym. The first time I walked in, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and he was so welcoming with open arms! Jay is professional, knowledgeable, and always in good spirits from the moment you walk in for a class. He structures group classes in a way that is much more like personal training. He focuses on motivating each individual in the class and how to maximize each exercise for that individual. This gym has literally changed my life! The classes are small so you feel comfortable and everyone supports each other. The workouts are different everyday and only 30 minutes long, you can't beat it. And then there's Jay... He is such a great trainer! Cannot recommend James Island Fit Body Boot Camp enough. Jay and his well structured, creative, and ever changing workouts have not only changed my attitudes towards going to the gym, but they’ve also gotten results. I’ve been a member for a little over two months and I’ve already noticed significant changes in my energy levels, daily habits, body proportions, weight, and my overall confidence. I’ve been attending this gym for about two months now and it has been great! Jay does a good job switching up the workouts so you don’t get bored. Jay can also easily modify the workouts based on skill level. Workouts are only half an hour making it convenient for my work schedule. We do get a lot accomplished in that half hour though and I definitely feel the burn throughout my day, but am not so sore that I cannot get out of bed the next day. I would recommend anyone on James Island to check it out!

If anyone is looking for a new workout routine, I highly suggest checking it out! It’s been years since I’ve liked where I’m working out, but these workouts are quick and challenging, and the trainer/owner Jay is great! I’ve already lost a couple inches over the past few months but am mainly just happy my excitement to work out is back! And with 30 minute workouts I promise you can fit it in!

James Island Fit Body Boot Camp is the bomb!! The owner, Jay, is very knowledgable and you can tell that he really cares about his clients and wants to see them succeed. The workout is quick and packs a punch! Perfect for someone on the go who needs to make the most out of the time they have to exercise. I love that it combines strength training with cardio to get that lean muscle. Because the classes are somewhat small, you really get that 1 on 1 personal training feel. I would highly recommend!!!

James Island Fit Body Boot Camp is an outstanding establishment, that will help motivate you to get in shape and reach your fitness goals. The gym is kept clean, decorated in a simple chic way, and has some really cool equipment. Chelsea and Jay Taylor are the owners, and he is the instructor of the classes. He is absolutely amazing! When you first talk to him you can clearly see his passion in helping you reach your fitness goals and his knowledge about fitness overall. He will take the time to measure you, weigh you and record your measurements, so that you can check in with him on a weekly basis to talk about your progress. Jay also takes the time to talk about your diet. He organizes a weekly meal plan and grocery list for you, so again you can do everything in your power to reach your goals. He know every person by name that steps into the gym. He caps the classes at 20 people, so he can closely watch each person in the class to make sure that they are completing the exercise correctly. Each workout is just 30 minutes. I came from an Orange Theory type of class, and trust me his workouts will get you sweating, and your heart up in no time! Jay will push you when you need the push and modify exercises that you may not be able to complete due to an injury. After each class, he asks if anyone needs help with something that feels tight or hurts. You can tell how important his clients are to him, and he will do everything in his power to help you with your fitness journey. Call Jay and give a class a try!
