I went there to try it out and the front desk staff was REALLY RUDE to me. I walked in so I could have a tour and all they go is “can I help you” with a snotty voice . You guys were very rude and disrespectful.

Stay away from this gym. Had a membership for one summer back in 2017, i think. Has been years since. Began getting calls from peak payment solutions saying i owed roughly $200. Called the gym and found that they send a debt to collections mid 2025. No attempts were made to contact me first. Dont know how they wrote their paperwork that they can charge me 8 years after i terminated a membership but they did.

Cancelled my membership sent an email to where they told me, no response then all of a sudden I get a charge of 49.00 my membership with dynamic was 20.00 monthly .

Absolutely awful experience have tried canceling multiple times no one will answer emails or phone calls I guess I’m stuck with a monthly payment that continues to get fees and odd (adjustments) to it each month. Owner and leadership simply doesn’t care. At least send me a thank you card for my monthly donations.

I love the walking trail around the lake. New ownership has really made a difference. New owners fixed the AC right away which had been an issue for awhile. Also I like belonging to a gym that is owned by a small business owner verse a corporation. Dre and rest of the staff are great.

Great gym with attentive staff. I used to be a member a while ago, now we get a workout in every time we're in town visiting family. It's the go-to gym in the area for us. They have everything we need. Large machine and weight equipment selection and lots of cardio machines upstairs. With an indoor and outdoor track for those post lift runs.

Frustrating lack of spring collars for the free weights, which is a serious safety concern. The women’s locker room is HOT, dim, and muggy feeling, leaving me with concerns about mold growth. Much of the equipment is in desperate need of repair, or just full on upgrading. Such as the thigh pads of the lat pull down coming off mid set— or the handles of various machines being so worn that they no longer have rubber pads and hurt your hands. In such a high class area such as Lexington, I really expected more.

Good facility. Bummed they had to close the Longs Pond location but that may have been out of their control. Have seen some issues with maintenance and maintaining equipment/facilities but that may also be due to increased demand since they took on additional customers from other location. Not a bad value for what I currently pay.

Dre is an asset! Always friendly and willing to help - it doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated! It was nice to see his familiar face at the Charter Oak location when Longs Pond closed. He is knowledgeable and doesn’t make you feel like a workout rookie if you ask him something. Give this man a raise!

Wouldn’t recommend this gym they making canceling impossible if you try your first sign up is a 24 month contract that is impossible to get out of if you want to or change gyms then once you cancel they will still charge you after cancellation because of a 30day cancellation policy

Been a member here for a while. I did not tour before becoming a member as I was a member back when it was New Life and assumed (incorrectly) that this facility had not changed much; man has it.

The place is absolutely dirty. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting; from the toilets to the showers to the sinks. The disrepair of the furniture is remarkable.

The equipment is not bad but definitely could be maintained better and made more stable.

If you read the other reviews here that are of the less than positive bent, coupled with the owners (or whoever is replying) remarks, you can tell the is not a business managed for optimal customer care or business growth; managing just to get by and it shows.

Can you work out here; sure. Can you clean up for work here after the workout; sure. Is it desirable; heck NO.

I would not recommend spending money here. Think, just one minute away you have a site that has a reputation for customer focus, maintained equipment and facilities and is very cost favorable.

Hope this helps some you out there looking to make a decision on where to spend your hard earned dollars to stay healthy or get in shape.

Update - counter to the response received:

As you see from the response received for my review; simply more deflection, same in other less than favorable reviews raising the same concerns by this supposed owner.

No, I am not affiliated with the location up the street. I am a patron of this facility and have raised my concerns with the local staff repeatedly.

I have taken pictures on the notes filth with date and time stamps that clearly are days / weeks / months apart with no resolve of the issue, especially the restrooms and the filth that is never addressed.

Just this week, the same disgusting conditions are still present and yet it has been stated there is a cleaning staff…remains to be seen and I am not the only one stating how poorly this facility is maintained, both in other reviews as well as in discussions with others working out.

Let’s see if the respond to this update will receive more deflection or actually appreciate the review and try to improve upon the observations; doubtful.

The dynamic on Longs Pond Rd was excellent. I hate that they closed because the one on Charter Oak is TERRIBLE. Very unprofessional, horrible customer service. Would not recommend anyone to go there. If I could give ZERO stars, I would.

Been member since it opened and by and large positive experience. Definitely a LOT more crowded since other locations closed. Feels more of a social meet up spot for some who sit at a station for 45-60 minutes just talking. Wish they would get the sauna back they used to have. Also, wish they would enclose the cycle room. Hate listening to a lady yell through a speaker for an hour while trying to work out.

MOST of the time, it's great, busy at expected times but TONIGHT, 1-2-2025 @8pm; There are at least 10 kids running around jumping on all the equipment, yelling.

To address a previous comment, YES there is a good bit of wobbly equipment and it took 4 months to fix a single cable on 1 machine. But the majority of the time, I'm happy here.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has gone downhill fast. the remedy for the benches is to slap a piece of black tape over it. Several machines are not flat to ground and wobble and shack when you sit down on them. The cable machines have been out of commission for almost two months waiting on a new cable. Very crowded. Poor equipment maintenance. Definitely not the same gym I joined years ago.

Only way to cancel your membership is by email. It takes up to 30 days to cancel your membership thru email. You will still be charged your monthly fee until they get around to cancelling you. They will not honor the date you sent your email on. I would be fired from my job if I didn't answer emails in a timely fashion.

This place is a fraud. Avoid them at all costs. I’ve been trying for months to cancel my membership and they’re still charging me. I attempted to cancel in person and was told I could as long as I paid off my contract, which I did. They started charging me again after a few months. I was then told I had to send a letter to the address on my contract to cancel, which I did. Guess what….still charged me. I went back up to the gym and was then told oh you have to send an email to this email address to cancel, which I did. Guess what happened….they’re still charging me. Terrible terrible company and shady business. Be warned before you fall into their fraud scheme.

I was visiting from Florida and Dynamic Health and Fitness generously allowed me to workout here today, September 20, 24. I had a very positive experience from the friendly customer service to the excellent workout. They’ve got close to 50 weight machines so I had no problem getting in my regular workout plus new machines I’d never tried but figured out easily enough. They also have the TRX bands and an upstairs with stationary bikes and treadmills. They’ve got 5 am classes 5 days a week plus 3 on Saturdays, everything you can imagine from kettlebells to yoga. I must say if I lived up here this would be my gym of choice! I highly recommend it and it’s conveniently located minutes from shopping at Lowe’s grocery market on Charter Oaks in Lexington.

Loving it. It’s not overly crowded and all the front desk folks are super kind and helpful, especially Dre. He made signing up low stress and easy. The facility is clean and I’ve only taken a couple of classes, but Melissa was super warm and made me feel comfortable in her Spin class. I also love that they offer a month to month membership with 24 hour access.

Great equipment that allows for a great workout. There’s an outdoor track and workout area which is perfect for warm weather. Facility is clean and has a professional atmosphere. The staff that I have been involved with are knowledgeable and helpful with anything I have asked about and personal training is available.

I don't understand some of the bad reviews. I've been a member for 6 years now I think. Service has always been great, equipment has been decent (i'm not a bodybuilder, just a guy trying to stay fit). The track is very convenient and they have a ton of cardio equipment for their size.

Locker room is typically clean and I don't have to worry about my things. They recently went to a 24-hour model which is worth the money if you like to get there early in the AM. They also have seemed to crack down on members letting non-members in when the front desk isn't staffed.

In regards to their billing - it's in the contract. If you don't use an e-check, there's a service fee. Once a year there is a fee I believe to help upkeep equipment and things like that.
