I commute to work every morning through Sunset Boulevard. Occasionally, I’ve found a couple of golf balls on the side of the street, which makes me concerned about their safety measures. Someone must have gotten stuck by a ball in the past.

I hope my comment reaches the management of Golden Hill Golf & Country Club or at least someone driving through Sunset Boulevard like me.

Attention Golfers & Guests:

Stay away from Golden Hills Golf....
Their lack of safety measures and unwillingness to address incidents raises serious concerns about their professionalism and any respect for others.

While driving through the Golden Hills facility, my car was struck by a golf ball. After the incident, I reached out to Manager Dian .... , but she disappointedly failed to respond with any professionalism and seriousness..
Instead of taking responsibility, Golden Hills claimed that the city frequently cuts down trees in the area and stated that the responsibility could be shifted to the golfer. However, five weeks have passed, and both the golfer and Golden Hills Golf management continue to escape any resolution to the matter.

I am deeply frustrated by their refusal to take accountability and their attempt to pass the burden onto bystanders like me simply passing by.

For anyone commuting through their facility on Sunset Boulevard, please take note: they allow golfers to play dangerously close to the street without installing any safety nets. This negligence leaves others vulnerable, and they appear unwilling to accept any responsibility for their consequences.

A few things that disappointed me about this course but the biggest one: my group came upon a drunk golfer who wrecked his cart. The course employees were helping him push the cart up a hill. Fast forward a month later and I get an email with an invoice saying i was the diver of the cart and I owe $3k. They sent me a demand letter! I responded and called telling them they had the wrong person. Scott said: I sent that to several people because I wasn’t sure who it was. They sent a demand letter to random people to see who paid!

The pacing was horrible and by the third hole my group was 30mn behind due to too many golfers on the course. I could have overlooked this but sending me (and several other unsuspecting people) a bill for cart damage because they couldn’t identify the person is bad practice and questionable legal.

I was driving by the course on 378 today and out of nowhere a golf ball hit the roof of my car. It created a good dent in my roof. I called them about it and they said they are not responsible for it and they said it happens all the time call your insurance for repair. Why should my insurance pay for something that was caused by activity on their property.

I drove about an hour to play here. It was totally worth it. Greens are great, fairways are great, and only one tee box was in need of some attention. Pace of play was perfect. I will definitely be back.

We used this course with our car. Why is there a hole right on the side of the road when you know humanity is losing iq points at a rapid rate? Whomever was playing that hole (old guy and young guy) around 2:15 pm nailed our car with a ball today.

This course should be rated a zero. Played the day before thanksgiving. While I had a feeling it would be busy, having no starter to regulate starting times caused an absolute nightmare. Allowing groups of 5 to tee off only made things worse and pace of play was abysmal at best. Just when I thought things were bad the older gentleman with shaggy hair and goatee who was running carts from the shed back up to the front was a total jerk and was talking rudely to my wife and mother and law. He should absolutely be fired. I will never golf here again or recommend any friends or family to golf here due to that man and the slow play.

My brother and I play golf at Golden Hills Golf and Country Club about once a week. The course is always in great condition. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful. The club professional, Steve, is very kind.

Course is well manicured. Front 9 is much more picturesque. Then the back side turns up the difficulty on you. Excellent fairways, tee boxes and greens. I like having houses on a course but if you don't then you won't like playing here.

Only giving 4 stars because golf carts are gas and the cart path could use some.patchkng up in many places. The course itself is though is excellent both in layout and condition.

The first guy in the pro shop had an attitude problem. I was going to buy a dozen balls but he had nasty attitude when I asked about the price. They pack up the tee times but they won't let you rain check because of slow play. The place was much nicer 20 years ago. Definitely lost a customer for life.

Played 2 weeks ago for $25 to play 9 on a Friday about 4pm. Arrived today and it’s now $30 to ride 9 at the same time. I asked the golf shop guy and he responded, “Yeah, we went up in prices. I mean why would we not. Supply and demand ya’ know.” Really? How about you don’t jack prices by 20% just bc more people are playing these days? How about you take care of the patrons who allow you to do what you do each day? Sounds more like greedy pockets than supply and demand. There are other courses just as nice for not as much. My 2 cents.

Nice golf course. Too bad that some of the staff is rude and hard to deal with most of the time. For some reason Golden Hills has the feeling they are equal to Augusta National. It's evident by the price gouging they do, especially on weekends, and the pompus attitude's. Not a great enough course for what you pay.

The golf course itself is fairly well maintained, no complaints in that regard. HOWEVER, the customer service was laughable at best and surprisingly rude. We bought a GolfNow Hot Deal that was supposed to allow for a cheaper round of golf and the head pro shop guy simply claimed internet malfunctions with GolfNow and refused to honor the PrePaid round. There was no help nor any assistance. Only solution: full price golf. I hope they learn how to treat people better, truly.

Course is in excellent shape. But don't go out there after a year without playing like I did. I was not ready for it. Tight course in places with unique bends on certain holes. The average 90 golfer turns into a 100+ golfer quickly. For $42, I would have enjoyed it more had I been in late-season form. Scorecard was ugly.

The pool is disgusting every time I go. My husband won't even get it because he says the tile on the walls are white and if everyonce in a while they take a brush and clean them they will not look like that. So many fingerprints on the scum buildup on the walls. The inside of the pool is constantly dirty. I have been there all day before and didn't see the lifeguard take a skimmer to the top to get the debris out. Never smells like chemicals I wonder how many people are going to get sick before they actually clean it. We will not swim again until it's cleaned up. The naked eye may not be able to see the filth but people who have experience with pools will know. So many diseases you can catch from dirty water!

May 31, 2016....Played all weekend over Memorial Day. All the greens are new and in excellent shape. The fairways are currently almost second to none. As with most golf courses this course in meant to be played from the fairways. A shot outside the fairway will punish you with tight lies, deep bermuda, water, nicely maintained bunkers, and naturally preserved areas with trees and high grass. Although short on the card it is a complete test for any level golfer. I highly recommend this tract for anyone visiting the Columbia/Lexington area.

This is a really good value in the Columbia/Lexington area right off 378. The course is short on the card, but plays much longer. A really nice layout with the greens being its defense IMO with tricky undulations and raised in many cases. Try to keep your ball below the hole as they can lightning fast above it. The course is in great condition and can/should be played "down". The staff is friendly and accommodating. I play this course far more than any other in the midlands and strongly recommend it.

First off, this course has so much potential and is very close to my house. I want it to be good. Its not. This course is way over priced for the condition it is in. Very unfriendly staff. The layout is good, but many of the greens have bare spots and tee boxes are un level. Snack bar has cheap sams club sandwiches in a refrigerator. Taste old. No hotdogs on the day I went. I would love to play 9 after work. Way to expensive for that. Lexington Country Club is better bet for that kind of money. Maybe they will turn it around. Would be great for me.
