When you cancel, you better call back a few days later and make sure it was really canceled. I had it happen twice. They gave me a confirmation and say it was cancelled and then it will show up on the credit card bill. I called back and they told me it hadn't been cancelled.

I canceled my previous membership to another gym because I was SOLD ON GOLDS the moment I walked in the door!
The young lady that did my 3D body scan also spent additional time throughout the week speaking with me about different approaches to working out which has resulted in a 4 pound weight loss in 8 days!
This facility is large and active. The cleanliness and atmosphere is top notch.

I was a member of this gym for about five years so I am very familiar with the setup. Gold's Gym is really like a bus station among gyms. You get all kinds of people with all kinds of standards from workout routines to hygiene to weird or normal. The equipment is adequate but a bit too tightly placed in the free weight area. They have a huge area in the middle that is a relic of when it was another kind of gym. No one really uses the "Ring of Fire" set up so it's really a waste of space for the most part. The staff has to scan your card every time you buy anything from a bottle of water to an energy bar. Not very efficient. I've used the group cycling group before and it was pretty good - not a fan of the bikes but the leader was enthusiastic. FYI - it's not a 24/7 gym and the area is not safe at night. I would give them a 3 star of the preceding. Where you will really see the 2 star is in customer service and billing. They have fought me on billing since I had major surgery and I have still not been able to resolve the issue even though my doctor send a letter to them. I'd be wary of signing a contract with Gold's Gym - you will likely regret it as others have stated here. And BTW the picture they are displaying is not a picture of the actual facility - it's either old or a stock photo from another facility.

Upon entering the gym was greeted by friendly people. The Pilates instructor Erin gave me a tour and encouraged me to sit in on her class, which i did. A week later went and joined her class and at first was very discouraged because I am very overweight. That evening Erin text me and let me know not to give up. She even checked on me the next day. Since then she and others have encouraged me to continue my journey. I have never felt such compassion at a gym and trust me I have gone to several.

I'm highly disappointed that the gym I worked out at so long is no long a 24h gym. Closing st 8pm on the weekend sucks. I never got or saw any notices about the time changes. Also the kid working the front showed have told me at 730that the gym was closing soon. I just started my work out and was told the gun was closed. What a waste of time. Golds gym has lost its touch. All they care about it the money

My mom and I went in for a tour and to get info today and Rodd helped us. He was so helpful and had so much patience with us. Steamroom always seems dirty, lockers i think never get cleaned as u can find all types of nasty in them from time to time. Shower curtains need to be changed more often as mold growing on em is gross. Im there at least 4 days a week and more less have a good vibe, just is stupid to have to mention things like above that should be maintained regularly. Most of the staff, although lots are new since i joined last February, are cool and helpful. I go for health and personal goals so other than lack of sanitation in certain areas, im gonna keep going🇺🇸💪

Well about a week shy of 2 years here. The filth is just becoming to much to overlook. Nobody cleans after themselves. Bathrooms n showers are horrendous. From mold on curtains to hair clogs like chewbacca was showering. Even the clothes dryer thing stinks. Lockers are always got trash, skin, dandruff etc. Floors look like a county jail lol. It's a shame because there are some good members and staff but I pay to much for this. If they dont care why should I. Tired of excuses and we'll tell someone jive. It's to bad I like the equipment but not cleaning it. I'll be putting in my 30 days after cutting my hand trying to move a punching bag that for some reason cant be left alone. Over it

I was a member there and regularly going. Had my wife n kid join, a good friend (war veteran) as well. My wife would get asked to pay every time she entered because I'd pay cash up front. After three times of her having to go back to her brand new 80k vehicle to retrieve receipts, she told em she quit. Well, then it happened to me and I ru old em what was up. Happened again so I told em to cancel it then if they didn't know how to operate their computers since that was the excuse. I now get collection notices and other emails regularly and I think its posts poor management and unprofessional. I'm a shop owner almost 40 years around the corner and I'll tell everyone how myself, family and friends were treated. All because I joined what was supposed to be a positive place

I really liked this facility. I was a member for over a year, however I found it extremely annoying that when I wanted to bring a guest with me they changed the fee to $15. I could not in good conscience ask my friend to sign up for their free trial (which I think is 3 days? I cannot remember) because when I initially did that I had someone calling me and hounding me for MONTHS even after I had already become a member of the gym. It was beyond annoying. The women's area of the gym is extremely small with maybe 5 machines, 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and one bike. A lot of the equipment in the main area of the gym was broken. At one point there were 4 treadmills in a row in the back that were not in working condition. I stayed a member because at the time they were the only facility in the area that was 24 hours, but they changed that this year. I ultimately left to join Pivotal Fitness because I did not trust their childcare and had a newborn. The gym is conveniently located and has bright vibrant colors because it used to be RUSH, but their staff (aside from one new guy) is not welcoming when you walk in the door. After seeing the quality of gym that Pivotal is, I would not join this gym again.

I got charged 4 extra month without attending the gym. I contacted the management to fix the problem but it never get fixed. I emailed Bergen Jorgenson to give me a refund for the months charged she never contacted me back. I drove to Greenville to fix the problem and explained to the front desk person my problem, and then called the second day to make sure she got my message. Mrs. Jorgenson said that she is working on fixing it. Now here we go again still getting charged by Gold's gym. I believe it's a lack of management.

Ok my daughter is 11 and your supposed to be 12 or older to have an adult membership well when we sighee up the lady said it was ok for her to work out with me and we sighed about 3-4 months ago and there just now telling me she cant go with me unless she goes to the kids room and theres a little boy thats 10 years old and "pretending" hes 12 well ... theres a staff there her name is Christine and shes rude i do not like her at all but if u have children that wants to workout with u this is NOT A GOOD GYM to be at🖕

This Gold's Gym is great! Great environment, wonderful staff, and always clean. I've never seen this gym dirty. Whoever left bad reviews saying this gym is dirty and smells, I'd like for you to come show me. All of the trainers are very friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need. Staff is very nice and helpful but thats not my issue. I was on the month to month plan an canceled it march now here it is May and my bank account was withdrawn a little under $500 just out of the blue to add to that I keep getting the run around and no returned calls like promised. My bills are now behind because someone else's mistake of not taking me out of the system. So thank you Gold's gym for the debt behind your mistake.

I was on a month to month plan, which they told me that if I wish to skip a month I don't have to pay it. Now I want to cancel and they wanting me to pay 2 months before canceling. You know what send me to collection maybe they pay you! I am not going to pay for time I am not going to use. Worst experience ever. It's next to impossible to leave or break contract after signing, and they'll over charge you for an entire year like they did with me. So I had to pay an extra $500 for a WHOLE extra year despite me moving to a different state.

The gym I go to regularly. Its a Golds Gym, so its exactly what you'd expect from a big-box globo-gym, but it has exactly what I need. Big free weights section, body-weight section, machines, circuit training area, and like a thousand treadmills for cardio freaks. The facilities are clean and well kept. They offer fitness classes, and have a handful of personal trainers at the ready.

This gym is disgustingly dirty. It should be shut down. Blood and snot in steamroom. Pee all over bathroom toilets. Machines in ladies only area look like they have never been cleaned. And they canceled my membership to try and force me into a long contract without notice saying they no longer offer shorterm contracts. I was like thank you and bye bye!

This is my favorite place to go and work out! I was worried when I went at first that I would be ignored or even put off but my experience was just the opposite. You see, I have a medical condition that could turn some gyms off or make them refuse to allow me to join. Instead, from the time that I signed up to now, they have made me feel welcome and like I belong! I am even with a trainer that is working with me in both the physical and mental aspects of becoming more healthy! From the GM all the way to the people that greet you at the front desk, they couldn't be more friendly or helpful. I have read some of the other reviews and I have to wonder if they were even at the same gym. Give Gold's Gym an honest try and remember...you get out what you put in!

Easy to sign up. Impossible to cancel a membership. I couldn't cancel over the phone. Went in to fill out paperwork and was told no one could talk to me at that time. Came in again later and filled out the paperwork. STILL GOT BILLED.
