Very happy there! Great facilities - Nice staff! I do have a "no contract" 10.00 per month (paid annual 119.00) and do not have a clue where I would EVER be able to have access to this much opportunity for improving my health/fitness for that price.

The gym is a nice facility with quality equipment, however staff is not upfront about hidden fees and terms of the different plans. I was told the membership plan was "no contract " for 10$ a month, however that is simply not true. If you miss a payment you are charged an extra processing fee. How could you be charged a fee if this was truly "no contract?" Not to mention they make it an inconvenience to cancel your membership. I was able to sign up online for a membership, but in order to cancel a membership you have to provide a 30 day cancellation notice to their parent company "ABC financial" via US mail and after you have notified them you are still responsible for membership fees within the next 30 days. This gym is nickel and diming people. I recommend reading the terms and conditions of your membership before you sign!!

The personal training manager made a lot of promises that he did not fulfill and then refused to let me out of my contract unless I paid a $250 fee. The whole experience was frustrating as I was trying to work with the manager at the westside and eastside, who do not like each other and are in competition with each others egos. Communication was near impossible. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and have joined the competition on east main who are fantastic. I wish I had went to PF a lot sooner. The people and facilities are much better. And at PF, you dont need a contract to see a trainer. It is included in the monthly low fee. Trust me, do not go to Gold's!

The facility is nice and good for the area. The staff (management included) fails to completely inform it's members/prospective members that this location is a FRANCHISE location and does not follow the same guidelines as the GOLD'S GYM CORPORATE locations. Prior to signing up for a membership, I informed the staff member that I WANTED a membership that would allow complete access to any GOLD'S GYM nationwide due to travelling for my job. I was informed that by signing up, I WOULD be granted this access. I was not informed of anything different. Upon attempting to use another GOLD'S GYM in another state, I was informed that my & such membership didn't exist with the SPARTANBURG WEST location, my privileges were for the 1-gym access, & that I'd be given a 14-visit/travel pass to visit the local gym & would have to sign up for membership @ that location if I wanted to continue going (basically, I'd be paying to go twice over to go to the same gym). I tried to find out what happened, and the general manager @ Spartanburg West, (BRAD MARTIN) became very argumentative, wouldn't allow me to speak, disrespectful, & confrontational about the 14-visit travel pass stating "...that's all he was gonna talk about with me..." After asking if it was common practice to misinform & mislead prospective/members about this franchise fiasco regarding membership & gym policies practiced on the corporate level, he stated "...no, we don't tell members about the difference..."
GOLD'S GYM...if you're going to employ asinine individuals such as BRAD MARTIN to represent your company even as a franchise leader, that says a lot about your company. Even if a prospective member choose to "sign a contract," everything including the member's full privileges, expectations, and description of locations and any rules that are followed differently or may not apply to each location should be laid out in that said contract! This one experience has soured your company's name & practices and I will be making sure that people know what they're up against. I will be making a formal complaint with your corporate office regarding Mr. Martin's customer service and lack of managerial skills!!!

I love this gym! The staff is super friendly. It has a movie theater with cardio equipment in it! That's the perfect combination for me! At $20 a month it's the best gym I've been to in the area!
