The instructors at Greenville Yoga are wonderful. They are attentive to your practice, but are never in a hurry. After sixth months of one day a week practice, my hip pain is gone. I feel refreshed and renewed after practice; I am ready to move through the day in peace.

Three years ago we moved to Greenville, and I needed a yoga studio. Greenville Yoga was closest to our home, so that’s where I went. Three years later I have some of the best friends I’ve ever had, my yoga practice has improved 💯, and the instructors are the absolute best!!! Liz not only created a wonderful yoga studio, but a community! Something I desperately needed in a new city! Give Greenville Yoga a try! And after class, grab a cup of tea and enjoy the laughter of friends. I do! Every time!!

At Greenville Yoga, yoga is truly for everyone, no matter your ability level, size, shape, color, age, disability, gender, belief system...you can just be YOU and explore what YOU need in your own body/mind/spirit. Liz has created a community that feels like home. Being a part of this community, and returning again and again to my mat in this beautiful environment has changed me and healed me in ways I could have never imagined. We all belong here.

Great class with Deb! The studio is owned by a woman who teaches classes and is onsite daily! The serenity garden alone is worth checking them out. Not your typical yoga studio, I was amazed at the how helpful Deb was. The class was very relaxing, her voice is soothing and I felt immediately welcomed. I will definitely be returning!

A sweet, sunny studio in a unique building. Took an All levels Flow class with Brian. It was one of the best ever! He was mindful, adaptive, interactive and encouraging. Loved the music free class! Didn't feel overly welcomed by the community, but was still very comfortable and had a great class.

Greenvilleyoga is where I started my yoga journey. My first class here was with Debbie I brought my daughter and was worried she would not be welcomed, not only was she welcomed but everyone at the class thanked my for bringing her and everytime she tagged along she was treated the same way (she's 10) i get messages from her teacher that she will lead a yoga session at recess now 😅. This studio ismore like a community than anything. Liz the owner.. if you've met her you can't attest to what a bright light and she is, she's soft spoken and always smiling, she will come by and gently correct my posture. I started yoga to calm my mind and help with back pain. When I tell you over the past half a year my back pain is GONE and even my clients at work remark at how peaceful I seem. Weather you are starting out or a seasoned yogi this is the studio for you! I recommend Greenvilleyoga to everyone I know, our community is lucky to have this studio and the people within it here in Greenville.

This studio is great if you are first learning yoga, want to take it easy, or have physical restrictions. The teachers take their time transitioning to each pose. I attended several different classes, taught by several different teachers.
Each class was far too slow paced for me, I didn't feel there was much flow in the classes, moving from one position to another. None of the classes used actual yoga terminology which I found odd, by time they finished explaining how to move into a position I would think, in my head, 'Oh ok, tree pose' or 'Oh, goddess pose'. Even the more advanced classes were very slow. I was pretty disappointed in this studio.

Greenville Yoga has been my yoga home for over a decade. People and changes may come and go, but the consistency of this studio is solid. At its core is a caring compassion for each individual who enters the door. Everyone is seen, heard, valued. Your safety and well-being are of utmost importance. If you are seeking a community where the focus of yoga is the melding of body, mind and spirit, this is your place.

Literally the epitome of the home-grown, local yoga studio without pretense. You won’t find a retail space pushing fast fashion or yoga trends, just an incredibly sweet, welcoming studio dedicated to the practice and teaching of yoga in all its forms, not just physical postures. Literally a breath of fresh air in a world inundated with the “yoga industry”. Amazing, seasoned teachers with lots of class variety.

There are a lot of yoga studios out there and I think that everyone needs to find the one that fits them best. That being said, Greenville Yoga is great for most because of a great studio building (and yes, there were those of us who had our doubts when they made the move to the new location. It turned out great!), great teachers, and, most importantly, a great accepting community of yogis - both new and experienced. Long sentence aside, if you are looking for a spot to call your yoga home, you need to check them out. I really think you will be happy you did.
Been going there (or via virtual the last year or so) for a long time. I’ve seen teachers come and go, locations change, shift to virtual during the pandemic and now phasing back to on site as things improve and the the thing that keeps bringing me back is the community of caring teachers and students. This is an accepting bunch that will be glad to see you if you are experienced or a newbe.
As I mentioned, plenty of alternatives out there but there is a reason that Greenville Yoga have been around for many years. They just “get it.” See for yourself.

I began practicing at Greenville Yoga, formerly known as North Main Yoga back in 2007. I began my yoga practice in the vigorous hot yoga arena. After moving to Greenville from Kentucky I landed at my neighborhood yoga studio, the unheated vinyasa studio that has given me a safe haven to explore my inner world and physical body in more ways than my limited previous experience could.
I grew consistent in practicing with multiple teachers who always greeted me with such genuine warmth and care. They were a huge reason I kept coming back. They made me feel seen and valued, and my fellow classmates did the same. The teachers are well trained and offer true connection. We had a community of friends who would often dine together after class! Greenville yogis make good food together!
As my love of yoga grew, I participated in the yoga teacher training program in 2013 and eventually became one of the teachers at Greenville yoga when my teacher moved.
This place keeps giving back to me whether I’m a student in other teacher’s classes or getting to learn from the students within my class.
What I’m most proud of is the leadership of this yoga school. Liz has always been full of integrity, she’s transparent, she’s valued input from teachers and students, and always puts the well-being of all of us as her highest priority beyond just profits. She cares for the greenville community as a whole and finds ways to give back collectively.
The new space on Old Buncombe Road has been thoughtfully created with such a beautiful aesthetic and energy to allow all who come to be held in a place of safety and acceptance. I hope you can join us and see how your life blossoms as a result!

I walked in to this space (old location) during a very trying time, specifically my mental health was on a teeter totter. I’ll never forget the warmth I felt all around. Greenville Yoga is truly sunlight. I do not get there near as often as I would like due to my location and schedule…. But Liz truly puts all her love into her studio. Not only was Liz a welcoming presence, but so were many of the other students. The studio itself is a nice intimate space that is kept clean and clutter free. There are several classes to choose from that accommodates both skill and comfort levels. I am looking forward to participating in yoga classes with each instructor, and I am grateful that my $12 class fee affords me unlimited access to classes for 1 week. My husband and I moved to Greenville a little over a year ago. I had been attending yoga classes regularly for about seven years, and it was important to me to find a new place to practice. I went to several other yoga studios before finding Greenville Yoga. Their motto is "You belong here," and as soon as I walked into my first class, I knew it was true.
The teachers are knowledgeable, the people are welcoming, and several classes are offered each day, allowing me to always fit one into my schedule at whatever level I like. I've never been pushed to go further into a pose than is safe for my body. In fact, the teachers regularly remind their students to take a break, or child's pose, when needed. I feel free to practice in a way that is right for me, whatever that means each day. I'm incredibly grateful to have found Greenville Yoga.

I have been attending Greenville Yoga since April of 2007. I found it on a whim, realizing I needed something in my life to counteract the stress of work, but I had no idea of the amazing community I was walking into. Greenville Yoga truly is just that - a community. You are welcomed from the moment you walk in. It seems impossible in this day and age, but this truly is a safe place with no judgment. Bring yourself just as you are - you will be taken care of.
The teachers are all top-notch and extremely well-trained. They know how to offer modifications to suit your body or your needs for each particular class. They also truly care about their students - they are more friends than teachers.
I know I used a lot of adjectives, but I cannot recommend this yoga studio highly enough. I have been going every Tuesday night for 8 years, and it's made a world of difference in my life.

Greenville Yoga is full of calm and wellness. There is no other place like it. I have been all over the east coast, have taken numerous classes away from home, and I can say that nothing compares to my 'OM Home'. The teachers are gifted, each is unique, and no class is the same. This is also the only studio I have been to that has more than 4 classes per day. Mindfully, Greenville Yoga focuses on the students, the community, and individual wellbeing. Their teacher training is fabulous, the class rates are well under the average price, and the special workshops and retreats are scattered throughout the year. You can do all or one and still have time for daily life. My OM Home has been Greenville Yoga since 2012 and they mean it when they say 'YOU BELONG HERE' :)

"You belong here" - Greenville Yoga's motto says it all. The owners, Liz and Brian, have managed to create an atmosphere of heartfelt warmth and personal attention to the personality and needs of literally every single student who comes through their door - be it someone new to yoga or a regular. All of the teachers you will find in the two studios are enthusiastic about what they do, well trained and willing to help you make all the necessary adjustments you need to get the most out of your practice. Even more importantly, Greenville Yoga is a place of peace, quiet and spirituality where people come to get a break from the stress and hassle of their daily lives. This is mainly due to Liz and Brian's tireless efforts to create a true home away from home for the community of yogis at Greenville Yoga. Both my husband and I are happy and grateful to be part of this.

Every level of yogi is welcome, they encourage you to accomplish poses you'd never imagine! Whether your needs are to get a good work out and hold the Wheel for the longest you ever have, or just help stretch, relax and feel more balanced, there's something for everyone. There are several teachers, and I definitely encourage you to try them all! Classes are super affordable ($10 regular, $5 students) and they have two different locations so you're sure to find a class to fit your schedule. It's my favourite.
