Nice gym but cancelation policy is horrendous. They have a 60 day minimum so if you have to move like we did, for military, you get charged for a bunch of time you cant use. The policy is buried in the fine print. I liked the 24 hour availability and its much cleaner than other locations. I really hope they figure out a way to make cancelations better. I would have signed up again if we ended up having one in our new town but won't now.

I ended up signing up after Peyton helped me and explained all of the saunas, different workouts, the wonderful app, and all of the fun competitions. I decided to join and I am so glad I did! I spoke with Emily in my first interaction with the Summerville HotWORX. I did the introduction free class offer but decided to wait. Several months later, Emily called and told me about a great promotion. I explained I was now working in Mount Pleasant and would probably sign up there. Emily explained how I could use the membership at all locations with a $79 monthly plan. Sold

I loved the convenience of 24-hour assessments at both locations. My only complaint is that the app is not working correctly. I have not received the credits for my classes and the calories I burned.

Full transparency, this membership is not cheap (for me) but it is worth every red cent! As a new mom who works full time..I dont have the time for hour long workouts..or to even make it to most gyms when they are open..even if I did, id have mom guilt about it. The best gym ever! I would always get in the groove of going to the gym and then I would stop going because I got bored BUT Hotworx is so much fun and challenging in a good way!!! Where do I even begin with this review- I feel like Hotworx has completely changed my life. I’ve lost almost 25 lbs by being consistent and going to workout 3-4x times a week here (along with better eating habits). I feel like a brand new person being almost one year post partum and it’s all thanks to Hotworx.

I’ve been a member at this location for almost two years now and have absolutely loved it. When I was pregnant last year, they let me pay a small fee each month to keep my membership active which I really appreciated. The employees are always so nice and friendly, and the workouts are amazing. The virtual instructors are all great and keep me motivated. The facility is always clean and kept up with.

I’m moving next year across the country where there will be no Hotworx location near me (😭😭😭) and have told my husband I’m probably going to cry when I have to end my membership. I just can’t say enough good things about Hotworx Summerville. Love this place so much. ❤️

Been a member of this gym for a month now and cannot rave enough about how much I enjoy going here! The sauna just makes the workout even harder. There are classes ALL the time. I’ve tried most of them. This place has helped me bounce back from the lull between high school & college sports to working full time with no exercise. Losing the calories by moving my body in a fun and different way makes me feel more like myself every session.

I also cannot rave enough about the workers at the front. The woman with the crazy abs who works afternoons has been my biggest cheerleader and she makes going to the gym fun. This place rocks!

Enjoyed my first several months of Hotworx, but lately it’s gotten VERY repetitive. While the claim is that workouts generally change every 3 months, most of the time the “change” is a joke - maybe one pose changes slightly, but that’s about it. If you are going to claim new workouts are coming, at the very least change the order of poses and add some variety so it’s not basically exactly the same always.

Also, in the membership agreement it says members should adhere to posted appointment times so as to not interfere with others workouts, so when I recently had a staff member open my door 20 minutes into my workout telling me 2 people were going to join, I was LESS than thrilled. I don’t care if they were new members who had just toured, have them wait until the next classes start and do a HIIT workout in the meantime. It’s incredibly inconsiderate to interrupt someone’s workout halfway through. Im pretty sure what happened is the antithesis of what it says to do in the membership agreement.

Based on my recent experience and the lack of variety, I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be a member.

Skyler is fabulous, she is so sweet, so helpful, and is one of the main reasons why I’m here. I have found this work out to be really beneficial, I am 64 years old, in good shape, but the normal aches and pains and arthritis issues… I have found this has done tremendous things for my body. Cancelled my account in JULY was told there was a 60 day charge, I am still getting charged it’s November ( have not stepped foot in the club after cancelling in JULY!!!) and they won’t budge on refunding me more than one month which is now well over 60 days… user beware. Also, They have a completely different staff from when I first started as a founding member. Had to wait 3+ months for the club to even open after my initial payment! They don’t take good notes at all as part of my new member package items were missing and the brivo door pass never worked, this place is trash! USER BEWARE as I said before!

Only giving a 1 star cause that one time I went was fine. Which was the first night I signed up . At the membership for 4 months….. only reason I didn’t cancel immediately was because they told me my contract was for 90 days. Ok no problem…. I called to cancel and the girl who was the GM made it difficult for me to do so! She said I had to come in store and within store hours …. Which I find very inconvenient since they were so convenient working with me after hours because of my work schedule….. I explained that I needed to cancel because I was only able to make it 1 time in 4 months for $64 a month! No issue again…, so I make time to go in so I can cancel … I was asked if I wanted an immediate cancel and I said yes….my options were to pay $99 or she would put in cancellation for me after 6 months so that means 2 more payments …. I was greeted with a “Hey sis” which definitely offended me …. For many reasons…. And after she realized I was there to cancel …. VERY NONCHALANT AND NASTY ATTITUDE. Just as fast as you were able to make a way and take my money (at my convenience) …. Would’ve been nice to get that in return when I wanted to cancel! And I find it odd that in a prior review from a week ago immediate termination was only quoted at $40!
Definitely gives money hungry as heck! Thankful my bank was able to clip this business.

I had such a good experience until I called and tried to cancel because I moved, and it didn’t make sense anymore. I was told there is a two-month notice, and I would still have to pay for those months, and then it’s canceled. I knew something like that would happen, so I paid. Month three rolls around, and I was charged. I called, and they told me they had no record of me calling, so I had to pay an additional $40 to cancel after all that. I am very disappointed, and it sounds like others have the same experience.

Love the option of getting a hot shower on the way out. Unlimited visits and turns out just 1 (!!) 45min hot yoga class at a yoga studio can cost >$30, it's a slam dunk that I love these hot sauna workouts...included. Try it, you'll probably like it!!

I thought I would love this gym. I did at first. I ended up having some health issues that has prevented me from going in and asked them to cancel my membership because I was being advised to stop until we figure out my health issues. I was told on March 3rd they would take care of it and cancel it right away. Letting me out of the contract. Today, I was charged again. They do not seem to care my kidneys are failing and I am having issues with my health. They only want their money. They will lie to you and say they will let you out and cancel, in writing, but not follow through. Be careful.

I love the way HOTWORX makes me feel after a good 45 minutes isometric workout or a 15 minute HIIT. However, I do wish the monthly payment was cheaper. $50 a month is a lot for a fitness studio, even if it is 24 hours.
