In 2023 I was accidentally run over by an SUV and had extensive leg, ankle and shoulder injuries. I spent time in a rehab facility before being released to recuperate in one of my children’s home as I lived in a 2 story home without a downstairs bedroom. After completing physical therapy and moving back to my home, I joined Iron Tribe hoping to get back into my healthy former lifestyle. The trainers were so helpful and created workouts that challenged and also motivated me. I have never injured myself while working out in iron tribe. I noticed that I have more range of motion, more strength and stamina and that I am quickly feeling like myself before the accident. I am so grateful to my trainers for their expertise.

I recently joined my husband for a workout at Iron Tribe Fitness in Greenville, and I was genuinely impressed! The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and made me feel so supported—especially since I’m new to weight training. What stood out to me the most was how they offered alternative movements for exercises that felt a bit too advanced for me, without ever making me feel out of place.

The pace of the workout was challenging in the best way—whether it’s your first day or you’ve been training for years, you’ll walk away knowing you got an incredible workout in. Even though it’s a group class, it felt very personalized with all the form corrections and encouragement throughout.

I have been going to Iron Tribe twice a week for a couple of months now and I love the challenge and flexibility it gives me. I actually look forward to going each time as opposed to that dreaded feeling we all sometimes get when trying to motivate ourselves to go to the gym! The staff are all awesome and I love the way they design your individual workout programs and check on you consistently throughout your workout, but leave you to accomplish your workout goals independently. There is no competition between the people there, you are only pushing and competing with yourself. It is always a positive and upbeat environment.

I’ve been coming to iron tribe for the past month and have been blown away! I only signed up to appease some friends and now I’m obsessed. The community is probably my favorite thing. I’m used to working out alone with headphones in my ear but working out with friends has filled my bucket and brought a new level of energy to my workouts. I love that the coaches pay close attention to your form and challenge you while making sure you aren’t headed towards injury. And the workouts are just plain fun! There’s enough variety to keep me energized but enough repetition to help me build certain muscle groups. Highly recommend!

This gym came highly recommended by a number of friends, but I still came in a bit trepidations about the style of workout and being left behind. But from the moment I walked in, this has been such an incredible experience.

The coaches Aaron and Stephanie are extremely attentive and great at scaling workouts. They really care about every member. I’m always impressed with the details they remember about each person and how they help everyone wherever they are on their fitness journey. Aaron has spent a lot of time after a class helping myself and other members with specific stretches or exercises.

Also, the vibe and the community are strong, which is, I think, essential. It’s not uncommon to see the coaches or the manager Xavier actually joining in a workout if they aren’t leading it.

And ultimately, what all of this really means is… you see results. I’ve been going to the gym 4-6 times a week for 2 years, but I’ve still seen some pretty significant jumps in strength and flexibility in the 1 month I’ve been at Iron Tribe.

If you’re looking for a great gym, try Iron Tribe, even for a month!

I've tried out lots of gyms and HIIT-style workouts over the years here in GVL, but none has come close to what Iron Tribe offers. We all know you can get in a good workout lots of ways, but you have to find something that makes you stick with it. Iron Tribe has found the magic trifecta that will make me a long-time member. Killer workout, encouraging coaches and welcoming members without egos. Most gyms have one or the other. It's rare to find all three. From the initial contact with the GM, you will feel like you're a part of the team and welcomed, regardless of your experience or fitness level. The coaches will know you by name Day 1 and welcome you every time you step inside. The other members - no matter what their own personal fitness level - will cheer you on and encourage you to improve at your own pace. Gyms can be intimidating and stressful to be new at. I never felt that at Iron Tribe. Really wish I'd found this place sooner and just made the commitment instead of wasting time and money at so many other places in the area!

UPDATED TO 5 STARS - The owner and trainers acknowledged my concern and are making efforts to address same. While there may not be a ready fix due to layout or space, the fact that they take concerns seriously and want each member to have the best experience speaks volumes for the owner and trainers.

Trainers are very knowledgeable and personable, my program changes every three weeks, so never bored with the program and I see consistent progress.
I only gave 4 stars because the class times back up to each other. This leads to the next class arriving during the previous class and without a designated waiting area attendees congregate/stretch in areas a class is still using . I chose the semi-private training and a small gym because I don't feel comfortable training in front of a lot of people, so when I am trying to finish my Prime workout and the next class attendees are "watching and waiting" for your class to be over, it's a bit uncomfortable. This is all personal preference and may not be an issue for others.
Don't let that stop you because it's a wonderful program and trainers that will get you to your goals.

Iron Tribe has been amazing! I highly recommend this gym and at the very least, you should do the 6 Week Challenge. Everyone, yes, EVERYONE at the gym is nice, approachable and encourages one another to be successful. This is not an in your face, yelling at you to get one more environment. As a running/stationary bike/weight machine/tennis kind of 'athlete' coming in to the 101 Class, I was intimidated to say the least. All I can say is don't be. The coaches and team here will teach you everything you need to know and help every step of the way. Definitely check your Ego at the door as it can be humbling experience, but in the best way. In the past I would have left classes like this ticked at my failures and just go back to my corner of the gym where it was safe. While I may still get ticked at myself, this place will give you the power to tell yourself to shut it and make you want to go right back at it. Early on in my time here and still learning, but excited to see where it goes. Everyone I've met are good people. Give it a whirl, could be just what you've been looking for. It has for me.

I just completed the Iron Tribe 6 week challenge and am loving the results! I did not reach the set goal but I am feeling better then ever and have much more confidence. The first three weeks of class teach you the various movements and have you focus more on form. The last three weeks are regular classes which are a little longer/harder workouts. I remember how hard it was to look at my husband, barely a year into our marriage, after he had lost his Mom & tell him I was depressed. I felt guilty.....I felt selfish. I was no longer teetering on the edge of the rabbit hole, I was in it. I knew I couldn't go any further ignoring it, I had to start the excruciating pain of climbing out. Two days later, I showed up at Iron Tribe. Anyone close to me knows that 8 years ago working out become extremely important to me. I spent a lot of time planning meals & workouts. It was habit. With all the plates we were juggling last year, I had let myself fall out of love with exercise. I knew myself well enough to know that I was too tired & too emotionally beat up to do it on my own. I needed help. So I asked for it. I was nervous, I had never loved group workouts before. I am a introvert and I relished being alone in a gym, having that space for myself in a overly communicative life. I was told to give Iron Tribe three months. Three months and if I hated it, I could quit. Believe me, I thought about it. After the initial workout evaluation, I cried in my car on the way to work. I was angry, I was self loathing. I had let myself down & I couldn't believe I was in this position again. I had worked so hard way back when and I had maintained it. Now, here I was, basically starting over again. But I kept trying and with every encouraging word or hand written card from a coach, high five or "we did it!" from a classmate, it finally clicked. Four months after I had joined,I fell back in love with the gym. I remember the workout that reignited the fire, the coaches that were there, the smile on my face. I got in the car and cried again, this time from joy/relief. I had regained something back for myself and I am truly thankful to be a part of this gym.It's never easy, but it is always worth it.

I get up at 4:40 a.m. every weekday to make the 5:15 class. That alone says a lot, but I'll say more. Each Iron Tribe workout combines strength training and cardio to ensure you maximize your fat-burning potential both inside and outside of the gym. The coaches are knowledgeable and supportive, and fellow Tribe members are encouraging (even at 5 o'clock in the morning). Tribe members compete, but the competition is good-natured and uplifting rather than unnecessarily aggressive. If you're looking for a challenging workout routine to move you beyond your comfort zone Iron Tribe is for you.

I decided to give Iron Tribe a try because I had a baby 9 months ago and I hadn't been able to lose the last 10 pounds or get my muscle tone back. In 5 short weeks my body has slimmed out more than I expected, I have gained lean muscle, and I have gained a ton of confidence I lost after having a baby. The coaches are so encouraging and working out with other people pushes me to work way harder than I ever used to on my own. The workouts are different every day so boredom is never an issue, and each exercise can be scaled for your fitness level or for an injury. I have been battling a lower back injury for the last 4 years, so I was a little nervous to do the workouts at first, but the coaches are very knowledgeable about movement patterns and have helped me make sure I'm doing the exercises safely. My back is actually the best it has been in years because they have helped me strengthen it so much. I am so glad I decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and give Iron Tribe a try!
